Shortcut keys for beginners 1. To join, select all objects and press Ctrl + J. 2. Before going to Shading page, select all objects and then set image Texture. 3. In the Shading page, when you set Image Texture, how to select an object by entering Edit mode is to press an empty area and press Tab or press Ctrl + Tab, there will be a wheel to select Edit mode. 4. How to select an object in Editmode is to click and press L, it will select the trunk of the tree. 5. Press to Uv, then press A S and the number 0. 6. Select a color by pressing G, which color will be in the small black dot. 7. You can press Shift + z to see the colors on that page, or press Z and select Material Preview. Hope this helps some.
Hi are you able to explain the important's of adding an image texture on the mesh? also, does it matter if you follow these steps as is or can you just set the colors on how you know how to then export it? I am curious to what lets the colors applied on the mesh exported to roblox. Thanks.
I managed to import a balloon from Paint 3D to Blender to Roblox, the only trouble is, my balloon is meant to be blue and red, like me, but it doesn't import the texture
Nice video, i almost always use materials first and then apply my colors to a color Palette that i make but you reminded me to use a texture Palette with many colors. This will save me much time.
Maybe i can help someone a little bit with that. He moved the mouse over the part he wanted to be selected and clicked "L" ( or he selected all and deselected the one he didnt want, but with "L" it is easier) and then he got to the window of the UV Editor and pressed "A" this selects the whole mesh on the UV Editor window. Then he clicked "S" (for scale) and "0" to scale it to 0( so it is just one point) and then he moved it with "G" to the color that he wanted. I hope i could help a little. Also, if roblox doen´t find your texture, just try to upload it manually as a texture.
im making a animation to roblox and i already made the animation but when i change the color if i have selected everything it only gives color to one single piece, is there any fix or do i have to start all over again
Is it possible to make these metallic? I know you can do it in the Shader tab, but is it possible to do this so it’s shiny when I export it into Roblox?
If it says the texture does not work, go in the properties of the mesh then click texture ID, create a new texture and have it set as your color pallet, then it should work. (It worked for me)
@Tottenham Trophy Case First, Select your mesh/meshes. Second, In your "Properties" window select "TextureId". Thirdly, Click "Add Image" and choose the color palette used in Blender, if used.
this is good except when I select the blade of my sword it doesnt show me the "plane" on the colour palette nothing happens like I've done the handle and everyuthing else its just the blade that doesnt show for some reason
FBX doesn't work for me, and the color won't transfer ( i already have the color on the item i want to import BUT IT WON'T IMPORT THE DANG COLOR THERE IS NO WAY IM THE ONLY ONE DEALING WITH THIS PROBLEM)
Why in the world would Blender, a highly advanced program for this specifc task, require me to manually import "colors" just so I can color it in a way that makes the colors appear in ANY game engine, when Blender is MAINLY used for those game engines? I don't even care if it works that way. The fact that it makes me have to do such a bizarre roundabout way makes me not want to do it.
Ah yeah, I can get where you are coming from. There are two ways you can do this with roblox; either separate each piece that you intend to be a different color, or use a color map. This is one of the most basic forms of texturing and admittedly is inefficient. This video was intended for simpler meshes with solid colors. There are way more elegant solutions for more complex texturing.
At the very top right of your blender viewer you should be able to see a down arrow next to three spheres. If you click that, you should see an option for colors. Click that and that should resolve your problem
Yes but that takes much longer for models with complex colors like if its a coin with only one color its fine, but if its like a custom character rig then it will take wayyyy too long

howd you get the bulk import thingy
for some reason i cant interact at all with the color palette
2:48 how did you do that??? i dont know how to select the colour and fill the object in
Bro uh it dont let me change the color
What if the mesh you made in robloxb was by unions and it had no texture on it and you colored it piece by piece
can you please link the colour palette you were using, thanks.
idk why it doesnt work for me even though I followed everything that you did
It says that the texture format is unsupported.

hey uhhh how do i find the import button???
How to see the colors from an .obj with rgb colors❤ buddy?
SO IM REQUIRED TO HAVE A COLOR PALLETE INSTEAD OF JUST USING THE BUILT IN ONE IN BLENDER ALREADY.
2:47 How did you do this? I can't quite find the color picker or anything. It's all the same color when I threw it into UV editing.

can u tell us exactly what you did at the roblox studio part?
just export is as the fbx file, not the obj....it worked for me
open the asset manager in the view tab and press the import button (arrow in a open box)
@@nitronick5416 no.
thanks
I joined it and now I can’t select parts, thanks a lot honey builder -_-
my item showed up as grey fior me :(
2:12 there is no image texture
How do you import a model into roblox studio! Whenever I look in my files its not there??
make sure you click the search for file type and set it to .obj, it only shows you the type of files your looking for
It didnt work for me you went to fast on the roblox studio part
My roblox studio looks nothing like yours lol, so couldn't import as couldn't find that bulk import pane
3:09 how did you choose a part of the tree there, even though everything is together?
It's not together, it would be if he added the part in modeling mode, but when you are in Layout and add a new part, it's a separate part
edit mode can select separated parts from the model

Where is the import button on Roblox studio
What happens if It doesn't apply any color when I export it.
Import your texture and apply it in studio
i dont understand, how did he pick the color from the palette after pressing A.S.0 and apply it?
with G on the Keyboard, it´s the same as when you are moving objects in your scene^^
bro speedrund that tree
wow u built that tree in 30 sec.lol
Friends in that experience can't see these textures... only me
doesnt work??
How I can select the color I dont understand how
same
Idk how to use blender tho
Its going way too fast cant even understand what to click
it doesn't work anymore
