    That little bulb did its job!!! Saved the more expensive parts from disaster. Of course, it was a pain in the butt to replace, but it was worth it.

    Excellent work Peter. I like a radio that is not covered in surface-mount components. There is something to look at and admire in a radio like that. These days it is like grains of rice scattered over the board! A big processor, a few chips, display drivers, well, you know what I mean. Nice work, repairing the radio. Clever, using a bulb as a fuse to protect the front end. As always, I find your videos very entertaining and educational. 👍‍ 😎 I like your work, very thorough and precise, a joy to watch a professional at work :-))

    I still have one of these from when I was first licenced unfortunately not working unless I can find a scrap one not that I need it but a shame really glad to see someone with skill and equipment still repairing these old radios

    Hi Peter, during these day I repaired a Yaesu FT-767GX and I have seen on RF board the same lamp !!! I think it was very used in the past. Thanks for your video my friend and stay safe. 73s Pasquale IW0HEX
