Excellent work Peter. I like a radio that is not covered in surface-mount components. There is something to look at and admire in a radio like that. These days it is like grains of rice scattered over the board! A big processor, a few chips, display drivers, well, you know what I mean. Nice work, repairing the radio. Clever, using a bulb as a fuse to protect the front end. As always, I find your videos very entertaining and educational. 👍 😎 I like your work, very thorough and precise, a joy to watch a professional at work :-))
Hallo Peter, wie immer eine professionelle und nachhaltige Reparatur. Ich schaue immer gerne über deine Schulter und kann sehr gut beurteilen wieviel Arbeit in den Videos steckt. Vielen Dank! 73, DG3JA

Thanks, Another great repair video Peter. Love the little "oops" at around 24 min in, "do you know where to put these back in?". Excellent reminder for all of us to take pictures or video!
I still have one of these from when I was first licenced unfortunately not working unless I can find a scrap one not that I need it but a shame really glad to see someone with skill and equipment still repairing these old radios
Hi Peter, during these day I repaired a Yaesu FT-767GX and I have seen on RF board the same lamp !!! I think it was very used in the past. Thanks for your video my friend and stay safe. 73s Pasquale IW0HEX
Peter you are the perfectionist every time and a real pleasure to see your work
That little bulb did its job!!! Saved the more expensive parts from disaster. Of course, it was a pain in the butt to replace, but it was worth it.

Lift up the board? I will literally burn down that radio :) Thank you Peter. As a new ham operator i learn a lot from you.
Hi Peter, it's great to see another video. Looks like that customer was very lucky but definitely a lot of work to just switch a bulb for sure lol
Great advice about taking a photo or two BEFORE removing the connectors on all those wire harnesses!
