- Kevin Pollak was a guest on Unmasked with Ron Bennington to promote his new documentary Misery Loves Comedy. He also shared some of his amazing impressions including a one word impression of Liam Neeson, a six word two syllable Jason Statham impression, and his infamous Albert Brooks and Peter Falk impressions.
One of the best and most underrated impressionists in the business.
You are so right.
Again with the "underrated" garbage.
@@bbmtge And what does that mean? He IS underrated. Many people aren't familiar with him.
@@oldschoolsinger He's one of the most famous impressionists in the world. People throw the word "underrated" around far too much.
There's a difference between not being well known and being underrated. Pollak has never gotten the kind of big lead roles that would make him famous, but that's not necessarily about being underrated, it's about being a character actor rather than a leading man, for one thing. He also just doesn't really seem to want that kind of career. But anyone who knows who he is knows he's brilliant.
That squint when He does Statham is so perfect...That's Jason's "look"...
y'nouaddamean?
He's brilliant. Impressions , stand up, acting, and filmmaking one of my faves.
Mimicking someone takes a certain kind of talent, but to pull that ability out and then expand upon it in a different context and have people respond well is something else! KP always delivers! 👍❤️
Kevin doing Johnny Carson saying "mama say mama sa mamakusa" is precious.
I love Kevin Pollak. That guy is hilarious. I remember seeing him do stand up on tv and I almost fell off the couch laughing.
Kevin is also a FANTASTIC actor. His performances are genuine, clear, crisp, and it's obvious that he truly respects the entire process of both filmmaking and entertainment. Anyone who has had the pleasure of working with him would probably concur.
I keep coming back for the Neeson and Statham bits, they're just too funny.
Years ago, went to see Kevin at a local comedy club. I have NEVER laughed harder in my life!! Sooo funny!
It's almost five thirty in the morning, and I am howling with laughter at Liam Neeson "bananners".
hope you did'nt woke up anyone when you heard
''bananners'' lol
Kevin Pollak is a MASTER of impressions. He's TOO good. ❤️🌹
Kevin Pollack is a pro. Even brought his 'A' game for Willow.
He is an absolute treasure in the world of comedy.
Even so over here in the UK
Pollack is one of those guys that I could listen to for hours. Talent +.
His Albert Brooks is PERFECT!!! I love Albert Brooks and I've never heard anyone "do him" before!
Jenny Q
You mean Albert Einstein? 😁
His serious acting is underrated.
I love Kevin so much.
His Albert Brooks... OMFG!
Pollak and Bennington, national treasures.
Kevin Pollak rocks. One of my favorite performers
Definitely an underrated actor as well as a great impressionist.
I was roaring ten seconds into it. "Bananas..." LOL!!!!
His impression of Peter Falk is priceless 😂😅😂
Sadly most people don't know who he is anymore.
That was so very incredible! One word and spot on everytime!
OMG Kevin Pollak is soooooo f.•ing talented, he also does an amazing Jack Nicholson, that one he can do for minutes at a time and you would think you were listening to Jack Nicholson if you close your eyes👍🏽👍🏽This man should constantly be working
He got paid to do voice over work for Nicholson in a movie they were in together, the military court Marshal one with Tom cruise. Nicholson only had a few days to film his scenes, he was really expensive to pay for long periods of time, and after he was done, they needed him for some off camera shots where you only hear him as the camera is facing Tom cruise or some other character, and Kevin was already starring in it, and offered himself as Nicholson’s “stand in” for those scenes. So in that movie, the few times in the court where the camera is panned away from Jack, but you hear his voice talking, it might actually be Kevin Pollack talking lol
@@andygarza8132 It’s still Nicholson’s voice in the film (A few Good Men) they just overdub the audio from Nicholson’s shot onto the off-camera shots where you hear Pollock’s voice. The reason they got Pollock to read Nicho’s part instead of any random person is because it helps the other actors respond more authentically, as if they were reacting to Nicholson himself.
I actually didn’t know Faulk had a glass eye 😂 but after learning this now, I can’t see how I ever missed it 😂😂
His talent is next level!! His Captain Kirk impression is the best of them all!
The peter Falk is fabulous
Amazing Actor Kevin Pollak!!!
I saw Kevin in Royal Oak Michigan years ago and he was awesome live
Worked with Kevin years ago. He is such a great guy. He did a few of these impressions on set.
Totally great guy!
2:46 seconds, and i had three of the biggest laughs I've had in a long time!
Tonight's insomnia brought to you by the mental image of Liam Neeson singing Holla back Girl: "This is bernaners. B-A-N-A-N-A-S"
I would love to see Kevin Pollack do a scene from The In-Laws movie doing both Peter Falk and Alan Arkin characters switching back and forth.
This guy is actually the best impressionist ever
"Boss Vic Koss" from That Thing You Do! (1996); a favorite character from a favorite movie.
TralfazConstruction Vicksburgs in Pittsburg, Vicksburgs in Pittsburg
Kevin has a side I didn't know about.Been a fun of Kevin for years.Great actor
Pollak is awesome.
The Albert Brooks impression is spot on.
Remember Kevin from "Comedy Break" in the 80's. Does an awesome Kirk.
And Jan Hooks
He's so talented.
Great impressions!... very clever.
Peter Falk impression is the best 😂🤟
I never imagined Kevin to be this entertaining lol. Funny guy 👍🏻
His Peter Falk is a wonder of the world. 🤣
Who would dislike this. Makes me laugh every time I watch him.
+Ryan Dannelly
There are a *shit* ton of assholes in the world. No matter what video I watch, no matter how competent or entertaining, there are always "thumbs down" votes. We live in a world full of angry, negative people.
I love the Peter Falk!
Especially with the one eye.
0:56 I love the stank face he puts on "Naa mean?"
I have been a fan of Pollack for years, and still wonder how the fuck does he do that eye Peter Falk thing, it hurts so see, lol
love the statham impersonation at 0:45
no sorry he sounded Irish. JS is is a Brit through and through
Paul R. No sorry he didn’t sound Irish. He sounded exactly like Statham
Paul R
No sorry. He didn’t sound Irish
That's Neeson
I really like his work!
The thing about One Word Impression, my friends and I were doing that over 30 years ago. It started with an older friend of ours who was a vocalist in a local band. He started with a Robert Plant saying/singjng the word 'push'. From there it went to Christopher Walken saying 'ouch', Shatner saying 'dammit'. I guess the difference, the famous person was kind of famous for the particular word.
this guy's amazing he's definitely one of my top favorites even though he was never on the screen as much as he should have been I think or maybe I just missed all the HBO specials or something
Pollack's is one of my all time favorites
The Albert Brooks bit was so cool.
Pollak is the real deal, the funniest, nicest guy.
Very underrated, underrated i tell ya!!
That was kinda awesome.
Didn't expect to see you here. Good stuff mate.
actually his impressions suck.
Bananers
Dude is a legend
I have been performing stand up for 12 years. But before that, going to see comedians was our date night.
We saw Kevin Pollock (circa 2005?) At the Tempe IMPROV.
He was an outstanding performer.
But, more than anything what I remember is how gracious he was to everyone. EVERYONE!
He is who I use as an off stage role model. And he is the standard for whom I hold others to.
An academy award nominated actor, in an academy award winning movie, if he can be nice to people who paid to come see him then damn it everyone else can be too.
Hilarious, thanks for the good laugh!
Kevin Pollak aka Colombo, always spot on
Man, Kevin Pollak is hilarious.!!! 😂😂😂
Liam Neeson is spot on!
Neeson doesn't say bananas with a hard R sound at the end, but the vocalisation, tone and inflection is perfect.
@@nervesconcord sounds just like how someone from Northern Ireland would say it though!
There are so many talented people there really are and this guy is definitely in the top percentile
Peter Falk voice modulation was awesome👍
How tf do you teach yourself to move just one eye? As great as his impressions are this is far beyond just getting a voice right.
I love Kevin pollock!!!!!!
Frank Gorshwin, former 60's to 70's TV Riddler was by far the best male vocal impressionist.
Frank Gorshin....his best was Kirk Douglas.
@@abc456f Burt Lancaster
@@Necron990 Yes. Kind of scary that all these celebrities we grew up with are gone.
Guys phenomenal talent
Kevin Pollack is as good as anyone on media. period.
Don't understand how Kevin isn't popular...well even more than he should be. Love his stand up styly. It is hilarious!
I had no idea who this was, he is good , really good.
GENIUS!!!
2:40 The eye trick is simple: Look with your eyes to the left and then squint; the right eye stays in the left position while the left one moves inwards.
Incredible!
I miss Kevin’s chat show he’s a great interviewer with great stories
I searched for this because it's so hilarious
I love Kevin!🙂
Kevin is a comedy genius.
So good.
Wow!! He’s awesome!

That's great 👍
So good
🤣 There, we see one of the few utterly ingenious, true entertainers left in the world!
That one-eye bit, oh jeez!
Holy shit! This is first time I've seen this interview and when he said that you can't use a word they're famous for, I did my best Liam Neeson impression and said "Bananas..." then IMMEDIATELY Kevin said Neeson's word is "bananas"! How the fuck did I guess that?!
Kevin was great I remember him as Vic koss on that thing you do
Genius!
Brilliant.
Watch an interview with Kevin, back to back with an interview of Ad Rock form The Beastie Boys. They're like brothers.
His Jason Statham is amazing! :D
