I met him at a local comedy club after he headlined. He signed over 100 autographs and did an impression to talk to everyone. Amazing guy. I told him he was one of my favorite comics, and he said "Well I feel bad for you!"
I waited on this guy back in my college years. I watched him hold court with the people at his table for 2 hours straight. He seemed like an absolute joy to be around.
Kevin Pollack is one of the best impressionists ever. For example: most impressions of Christopher Walken tend to be focused around the more memorable and over-the-top qualities of his voice; but Mr Pollack's impression is a more subtle, nuanced and, ultimately. more complete and accurate likeness. That seems to be the way he approaches all of his impressions.
Kevin Pollak is an idol of mine. I used to watch Deal of a Lifetime everytime it was on TV and bursted out laughing with him dressed as a lunch lady. One of the funniest and most humble artists out there and I have him just beside Jessica Harper and Robert Englund on my list of favorite criminally underrated actors.
I remember him guesting on a UK show in the late eighties, and thought he was way better than our home-grown impersonators. The William Shatner cracked me up!
He makes it into a self-effacing joke but that is the secret. He works on Walken two hours a day. And when you hear it, it’s amazing. Put it another way it’s one thing to have the gift, another thing to work your ass off to make it happen. .
Pollack does the best Walken, but Jay Mohr also does a damn good Walken, as well as impressions nobody else really goes, like Andrew McCarthy and Harvey Keitel.
@3:57 I did the same thing when I met William. Shatner. It was in Las Vegas at a casino. I was wasted And I walked up to him and I said "may the force be with you". He chuckled and And as I shook his hand, corrected me by saying " I believe that is from star WARS?"
Love this guy. If you haven't seen Deterrence you have missed one hell of a movie. The President of the United States must deal with an international military crisis while confined to a Colorado diner during a freak snowstorm
A reason you don't do an impression of a person for that person, is no one hears their voice the way other people do. Your own voice sounds different to you than it does to everyone else. The person will never think you do a good impression, unless you do the voice they hear. Of course, in that case everyone else will think your impression sucks.
Never did I know that Kevin Pollack was in goddamn Willow. That's a cool Peter Falk story. One more thing, my wife loves you but...I don't agree with that in the workplace.
Back in the Celtics heyday a radio station did a Johnny Most impersonation contest. Sadly Johnny finished third. Billy West won and went on to fame from there.
Peter Falk who played Columbo on TV in the 70's and he (Falk) actually had a tumor in his eye as a child and it was replaced by a prosthetic eye. Like Sammy Davis Jr. (because of an auto accident) and the characteristic became part of the dramatization of his impression of Falk.
Thomas Ferraro If you're used to Peter Falk as Columbo, it will freak you out to see some of the other stuff he was in . . . he was in some John Cassavetes thing . . . NOT Columbo. And Murder By Death . . . he was so good.
I've heard him attempt several and then admit that he sucked at doing it. That's not to say that he's not gifting at impersonation, just that sometimes he overreaches.

PSMTCHEF Hahahaha that’s awesome !!!

😂 What an incredible talent! Kevin Pollack is a gift
Very funny dude.
Kevin is a really sweet guy. I met him once, and he took the time to shoot the shit, no ego at all.
Love the story about Cruise. I would have done the same- USE the damned pen! Good interview all around.
its like he doesnt just do an impression,he just turns into that character, its amazing!

I could listen to this guy talk for hours! Funny stuff!
Kevin is a great actor and performer. I would vote for him every day and twice on Sunday and funny too!
I have totally crushed on Kevin since I was a teenager. ❤
I love the interviewer. He sounds just like what a regular person would sound interviewing a star.
Even yoda came by 6:55, haha, great interview!
I remember him guesting on a UK show in the late eighties, and thought he was way better than our home-grown impersonators. The William Shatner cracked me up!
Seems like a very down to Earth kind of guy, very funny as well. Can't top the Tom Cruise pen story.
When KP says Crazy as Walken. Thats funny. He could just stop there and I am still in stiches over it.
Kevin is sooooo on point! I love how he recognizes Tom Cruise skills! I absolutely love both these guys work!!! LMFAO😂😂😂 at the Jack Nick story!!
There is only one thing in life better than Christopher Walken, and that is Kevin Pollack impersonating Christopher Walken.
He's a wonderfully talented man. A dying trait. Walken is a legend.
Outstanding interview.
I like him a lot. He makes me laugh.
Underrated talent

"A Few Good Men" is still one of my favorites, but I also liked Kevin as Jacob Goldman in "Grumpy / Grumpier Old Men".
Pollack does the best Walken, but Jay Mohr also does a damn good Walken, as well as impressions nobody else really goes, like Andrew McCarthy and Harvey Keitel.
"I have no responsibilities here whatsoeve," is the line I remember from his role in a Few Good Men the most.
Kevin Pollack is always Funny. No surprise here.

Really wish I could hit the LIKE button a dozen times for this.
I loved his characters in the Whole 9 Yards and Whole 10 Yards movies..Epic Kevin Pollack
He doesn't overdo Walken . NICE
awesome nicholson impersonation!!!!
Phenomenal impressions and the improvisations are just as incredible
christopher walken must find these impressions really amusing
He is such a gift, in so many ways. ❤

Excellent eye for detail for a news channel, it's Pollak !
LOVE LOVE LOVE Indian Summer!!
Deterrence is awesome.
I went to High School with Kevin, and we graduated in 1975
What was Kevin like in High school?
Susan Sarve
THAT is too cool...... how's the "I knew u when....", too awesome
Susan what was Kvvin like in high school. Was it like Welcome Back Kotter?
I'm still waiting for the rest of the story.
Thanks Very Good Video.
That interviewer is too likeable for existence.
Agreed they should have him sitting on their lap when he interviews them, occasionaly patting him on the head.
2:20 thats the art right there
How can you possibly see that film (Willow) and not know that Kevin OWNED EVERY SCENE!!!!????
Kevin Pollack is HILARIOUS!!!
I love you, Kevin Pollack.
I asked him to do John Garfield in a small club in Austin Tx.
He killed it. 😂😂
Kevin Pollack runs into a lot of famous people at the grocery store lol!
Love this guy. If you haven't seen Deterrence you have missed one hell of a movie. The President of the United States must deal with an international military crisis while confined to a Colorado diner during a freak snowstorm
Great interviewer!
He's good.
Funny man.
Say what you want about Ton Cruise, and I will probably agree with you, but that is a genuinely nice man From the heart.
Pollack is awesome!!!😎👍
0:48 Was Kevin Pollack talking about doing a podcast 10 years ago?
Probably one of the top five film actors on earth, and with a comedic background. I put him up there with Williams and Martin.
"Ma Ma Se, Ma Ma Sa, Ma Ma Coo Sa" from "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'"
He’s in my second favorite movie ever “the usual suspects “ he’s so good in it but I mean everyone was
i just now put a hold on this book at my local library...
Kevin's a BRILLIANT Comic and Actor..I wish he'd do MORE films
Willow!!! Fuck what a classic.
LOVE LOVE LOVE when people say LOVE LOVE LOVE.
Ugh now I want to hear Johnny Carson reciting Cannibal Corpse!
Colombo was the best
Great Walken impression. It is a distant second to that Australian cooking guy though.
Yup! That's 💯
Cooking with Christopher Walken
Reading every comment with christopher walkens voice, starting now.
PokePineapples Oh god that was fun

Sorry Kevin....but you did a fine job in AFGM.
I thought that little guy in Willow was Squiggy. Now I know better.
Jay Mohr does THEE best Christopher Walken impression barnone. Love Kevin's....but Real Talk.
Pollock's impressions are great and his theory or why not doing them in front of the ACTUAL person makes 100% sense and is smart
It's hard to tell where Kevin Pollak ends and Christopher Walken begins.
Back in the Celtics heyday a radio station did a Johnny Most impersonation contest. Sadly Johnny finished third. Billy West won and went on to fame from there.
I can't decide which of these three does the best Christopher Walken: Kevin Pollack, Jay Mohr, or Christopher Walken.
Where is Kevin from?....his name sounds Polish to me.......
Where was the impressions ?
I can never understand why close ups are in profile.
Too funny
OHHH MY GODS KEVIN is the SHIT!!! :D
Angelica, keep reminding us to click the like button. I almost forgot.
omg Kevin Pollacks big break was 'willow'? never seen it, not looking to watch it. Love him though. A few good men yes what a great film
if kevin was more conniving id say he played it perfectly to GET the second pen!!
"Lets... BWHAAT??"
That was the most funny point for me 😂😂😂
who is the person he is doing when his eye goes crazy ?
Peter Falk who played Columbo on TV in the 70's and he (Falk) actually had a tumor in his eye as a child and it was replaced by a prosthetic eye. Like Sammy Davis Jr. (because of an auto accident) and the characteristic became part of the dramatization of his impression of Falk.
Thomas Ferraro

Loved Murder by Death... hysterical!
his name is Kevin Pollak, no ......ck, capisci ABC news?
😂😂😂😂😂 ❤
So am I the only asshole who Googled "$500 pen at Barney's"?
u better hope they don't see those green bananas
hahaah
Back to the days of Christopher Walken and Poo
You notice no one knows how to spell his name - it's spelled K E V I N.
I've heard him attempt several and then admit that he sucked at doing it. That's not to say that he's not gifting at impersonation, just that sometimes he overreaches.
9:52
I could spend days watching why did Walken become the one to do?
Kevin P nails Alan Arkin. But I think Kevin Spacey does a better Walken.
Haha can i cook
It's pollak
