I been modding for over 13 years and I been stubborn on downloading Wabbajack because I been doing mods the same way for YEARS. BTW buying Nexus is 100000% worth it! So finally I tried it out and it's stuuuuuupid easy NOT to mention if you're sick of trying to find out what mod made Skyrim crash or something, ModOrganizer is HANDS DOWN amazing.

@@beansyaya Yeah dude, it does everything for you. Well, most of it. There is a little guide with each nodlist that you have to read and do, but that takes no time and is always very well put together. I'd say it does like 95% of the work for you, and yes, that includes making a mod order etc
@@theunderdog9353 what mod organizer did you use? im using vortex but im very new to pc gaming and modding and i still cant figure out how to manually change the load order, all I see is an “sort” and “autosort” feature :(

Great video. I've been modding my Skyrim and the Fallout games for years. Sometimes I have great successes and many times I have disappointing failures. I'm definitely going to try Wabbajack with New Vegas.

It's the first time that I use this software and I would've been completely annoyed and frustrated to have bought Nexus mods premium, just to fail on me in Wabbajack. Now I knew this from you video, I restarted the program just like you said and it was missing just one little file and it continued installing after that. 😎👍

That is a program I wanted 20 years ago when modding Morrowind in 2003, oh man it's been 20 years, I am getting older.
Installed wabba, followed septimus install following the guide to a T - Im just confused now. Do I just run skyrim from its normal executable? When I run Mo2, it launches normal as well? I installed mo2 on my own because I didnt see it mentioned anywhere in the tutorials, wondering what I did wrong

Thank you for this video!! ound like the answer to the skyrm issue of mods not working. If I have vortex and already started with a game, How would I dismantle that and switch to Wabbajack? I have a custom follower that uses custom eyes etc. Can I just add those on?
How would all this work with AE ? I know some mods got updated to that version, but many others didn't which causes problems. Do i need to downpatch the game before using Wabbajack and any modpack ?

Those modlists take upt a LOT of space though, most going over 100GB minimum. So it kinda seems like "pick your poision"; Either mod the game yourself for hours and then you'll only have the mods you know you wanted, with bigger risks of crashes, OR do essentially the modding equivalent of buying the Gold Edition, only instead of lots of money, you give up LOTS and LOTS of computer space.
hi, i know im late into this. but i have just recently started using wabbajack, and im having problems with extracting the mods, it extracts some mods, yeah but then it just stops randomly? i have enough storage on my drive, not sure how to fix this...

So do I need to have MO2 for this to work? I’ve used vortex for years, everyone says MO2 is better but I just haven’t had the chance to learn how to use it.

So I just stubled upon your video about Life in the Ruins and I haven't heard of wabbajack before. The thing is, I already modded FO4 a bunch of times uing vortex and I basically have my own mod list right now (its far from perfeect but its fun). In the installation guide for Life in the Ruins it says that I should get a clean reinstall before using Wabbajack to download the Modlist and thats where my question comes in: Does this mean I have to reinstall all of my Vortex mods again when I want to use my own modlist? Would that even be possible without getting a new clean isntall first? I guess this still wouldnt be a deal breaker since I would probably try out a bunch of Modlist before switching back to Vortex again but still, any info or support on this would be greatly appreciated!
So it's always best to have a clean install with a new list, so you'll likely need to remove all your vortex mods unfortunately. *However*, i have managed to have multiple lists installed at once and switch between them, so if youre willing, you could install a modlist on top of your vortex one to see if it works. If it does, then great. If not, then youll need to remove the vortex mods and re-install the modlist (which wouldnt take long as you'd already have the mods downloaded)

Hmm, we’ll keep in mind I’ve not played them all, so if you’re looking for something specific do be sure to read into it. But personally I’d suggest Living Skyrim.

Thanks for making this but when i restarted the program so i could continue my dowload it showed no modpack? And when i tried to add it again it showed me only empty folders i couldn't select.
Do you have an idea what went wrong? Its the second time i had to restart the downloading of a modpack and i'm not spending another 7 hours downloading something lol
You need to select again the folder of your modlist
Great video but I followed along and read the modlists instructions but nowhere does it say how to actually take the mods ive just downloaded and put them into fallout.
hello i did everything step by step, when i go to my D:\Wabbajack modlist\Elysium\Downloads in the folder i created for my mods, i do not see game folder files to extract skse to my directoryD:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition, also the downloads to this mod list its always downloaded into .zip files. where do i extract the files to? the same place or create a new folder to extract to so i can delete the downloads for more storage please help thanks.

Speed Trees is a problem mod, the lists dicsord should have a link somewhere to download it manually
Can the location be of the modes be moved after instalation? I want to move them on another drive.
Yes you can move the downloads folder, or even delete it afterwards if you want

Sorry to bother you man, but I spent all weekend following videos and the instructions in wabbajack to try and install "The Phoenix Flavour Dragon's Edition" but everytime after it takes all that time to download i get an "installation failed". It does not give a reason why. I read somewhere online that there may be a patch or something I have to download manually but nowhere can I find instructions or advice on how to do this. Would you happen to have any advice, tips, guide or something that would allow an extreme newbie like myself to be able to install this? Does the Phoenix Flavour have to be installed first before the Dragon's edition can be? If so, it does not say so. I'm not a total idiot, but brand new to PC gaming and zero experience with modding. Thanks!
Firstly, when you restart the download, do you see which mods it’s getting stuck on? And secondly, when I have the same problem, I go on the discord for the list and check all the pinned messages to see if there’s a file that needs to be added manually. Plus if you use the search function on their discord and type in whatever error you’re getting, most of the time there’s people with the same problem and they have help
@@DroppedIceCreamMods How do I which mods its getting stuck on? It keeps giving all kinds of error messages saying unable to download data, Cannot continue, no alternative, system cannot find the file specified, there are literally hundreds of these types of messages. I just don't get it.

Just a disclaimer, you'll want to make sure the folder you store Wabbajack in is NOT inside the Downloads folder. Wabbajack will not run if it's still under the downloads folder.

1.Find your downloaded Wabbajack file in your downloads
2.Find "This PC" in File Explorer Click on it
3.Click and open on a drive of your choice
4.Move your mouse cursor down to an empty area and right click look for "New" in the menu that pops up
5.Hover your cursor over "New" Another small menu will pop up click folder you can name you folder I reccomended Wabbajack obviously
6.Right click on file explorer and click on file explorer in the menu that pops up this will open another tab now simply go back to where you found your Wabbajack download in your downloads and move it over to your freshly made Wabbajack folder in the other tab
P.S. I'm assuming you don't have much experience with PC's so I would reccomended taking it slow read the modding instructions and don't panic good luck!

Wabbajack itself is great but the arrogance of many of the list authors to not list every single mod in them and just to expect you to trust them is ridiculous. most of the interactions go something like this.
" so whats in the collection?"
"oh its great it does things you'll love it!"
"great but what is in the list?"
"well if you click this link that goes to a website that links to another site I will list about ten percent of them in a random github repository readme file"
"what about the rest?"
" you don't need to worry, its a curated list"
and so on.
Why they can't respect the end users time by just listing the mods in the collection right on the mods page is a true mystery. if you can type a list you can copy/paste it to where its actually needed instead of making people follow a link trail just to see what is in it.
How do you update a previously installed wabbajack modlist? Do I have to re-download the whole thing?
You download the small list file from the ‘browse modlist’ section again, then do the install with the same download followers selected, and it’ll detect all the mods you already have so you don’t need to install them again

You’d have to be sure not to delete important mods but yes. Also disabling them wont remove them from your hard drive, you’d need to go into the actual downloads folder and delete it
Has any one had the cannot install wabbajack pack. Because its cannot find skyrim directory errors? I restarted wabbajack and tried alot but cannot seem to get it to install? Any links or vids helping with this error would be appreciated

Never run loot. It’ll destroy the list load order and ruin everything. As for adding mods, usually the list will run though modorganiser, and you can add mods through there
if i use wabbajack for modlists, how do i add personal mods i like and want in the game as well?
The wabbajack download will provide a mod installer (usually Mod Manager) that includes all the mods. So you just open that and add in your own mods from there.

ive followed everything correctly but i always get the same message 'invalid file format', I'm trying to download elysium remastered but no matter what I do that always comes up :/ everything is installed in the right places, all the mods are in their archives...I'm so lost
IVE MANAGED TO FIX IT LMAOOO after so long I've found a way to fix it, I just had to delete the elysium_@@_elysium.wabbajack file because it was corrupted and had to install it through wabbajack again, thank god for their discord
edit: once you've downloaded all the mods you wont have to download all of them again (which I was afraid of) thank god, it just goes straight to extracting them

With most lists, you go into the ModManager program provided and add mods from the button at the top
@@DroppedIceCreamMods yes I get that but you add no delete some how to the mod . That way when the list is updated your mod/ mods are not deleted. I read about it on there read me page but don’t get it. I need video. I’m 72 video would be big help.

I’m honestly not sure about Linux, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work? It might be worth asking on the wabbajack discord.

Yup, as long as you have a clean install of the base game. However, Vortex directly changes the game data file, so you might want to delete it on Steam and reinstall the game. You'll lose your Vortex mods though. However, it's better to use Mod Organiser anyway, since that doesn't actively affect your game files.

Yeah Qwest requires a couple of files from that site, I signed up and it all worked fine.

Because Skyrim Legendary Edition is very outdated and cant handle as many mods as these lists provide, so Special Edition is the requirement for all of them now
