Love this it’s like stepping back into time. You could only imagine what those buildings looked like when they were built. Another fun adventure you took us. Thank you to both of you. 😊
Hi Adam, I would love to have seen these towns back in the day hustling and bustling. It’s sad that there is hardly anyone around when the streets would have have been full of people. I appreciate you showing them to us.
I love this kinda stuff. You know small town Americana, American history, trivia and all that good stuff. I also feel like it’s about to get more and more popular.
Hey Adam, Glad to have you in my neck of the woods. If you are still in the area all weekend, you should stop by the Loch Norman highland games going in Huntersville
The Day's of Thunder barn use to be in the country back when the movie was made but Charlotte has grown so much since then that its now in the middle of a metropolis!
Was great buddy! GG locations are always something. That barn is wild, can't believe that's still standing there. Good call on the White Trash burger...looked fantastic 👏
Thanks for all your hard work Adam. Long time subscriber here. Look forward to your videos every day. Lost my 16 year old cat to kidney disease last week and your videos have been a nice distraction.
Had to put down our best boi golden (13 yrs old- cancer) and my old sweet mare (30 yrs old- Cushings) last summer. I still feel the empty spots in my life. You all have my heartfelt sympathies for your loss. It's tough losing your companions.
Thank you for this share! I lived in South Carolina for a year. I sometimes Miss Zaxby's and Bojangles they have the freshest chicken and you can definitely see why from this video! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Wow! Welcome to Mooresville. When we moved here in 2007 it was a much smaller town that what it is now. I can’t imagine how it feels for people that were born and raised here.
We moved here in 2004. About a month ago I met a women who lived here her whole life and she told me about when Mooresville had only 1 grocery and it was where the Dollar General on Maint St. is. It's crazy how much Mooresville has changed.
I've been living here in North Carolina for the last 10 years and still I'm learning about these different locations from watching your videos. I never knew about or been too any of these places. But then again I rarely leave the house except to run errands so obviously I'm not gonna see anything if I don't go exploring for them lol.
So wild to see this! I’ve watched several of your Disney videos, and was binging Hilton Head since I’m going this week, only to see Charlotte and click - I was shocked when it started and you were in Marshville! My boyfriend lives close by, we’ve been through there a million times and walked around a time or two. I had no idea a movie was filmed there! If your ever in the area again, you should take a trip over to Reeds Gold Mine. It’s about 40 mins away, but it’s a cool place! Gibson Mill is also in the area, and it’s the largest antique store in the south - you’ll spend HOURS in there. Really cool place as well. Pinky’s is also fantastic!
Anyone else notice that the brick building at 6:25 had a door on the second floor that had no deck or stairs? It led to only a 10 foot drop! 😆 He does notice a different building with a random door upstairs at 10:20
Love living in a small town in SC just 49 mins from Charlotte. We have some very old buildings in our town of Kershaw, SC. The movie theater is still standing turned into an auction house/Cafe.
Your in my neck of the woods, in the 90’s there wasn’t much traffic and built up so much around the barn. so that’s why it looks kinda out of place today. So cool to see you visited.
Hay Adam. Love the channel. I know you came to Thomaville NC to see the big chair but I wanted you to know we have a Mural walk, painted by the local artists and also a civil war plaque walk that gives information on what happened here during the Civil War. The old train station is now the visitor center and I’m sure they could give you a lot more information than I can would love to see you come back.
Hi Adam, As always a very interesting tour. Oh and Thanks for recommending the 2003 movie 'About Shmidt' in one of your blogs. Watched last night - brilliant movie!
Go forward to 25 minutes and 33 seconds right to the left of the brick you could actually see his image of that photo on that brick pause it and let it go slow you’ll see the image. That’s so cool
Those trucks are transporting chickens to several chicken processing plants to the east of Monroe NC off US 74 from the chicken producing farms in eastern NC. Marshville is further to the east of Monroe .
When you mentioned the commercial real estate I thought about a friends mom that owns a beautiful home that was a tire shop .. converted to an open floorplan home ... big windows and so cool..
Love seeing these small now out of the way town videos. I would say that rooms could really have been available for rent. The paint may have been redone or even added for the movie but good chance they rented them either way. There are several places that even now in my town that rent rooms above corner bars(many now former corner bars) or small bodega type markets. Some of the older ones even still did the common bathroom for multiple units and only a 1 room total per unit no kitchen, living room etc..
Adam, really enjoyed your awesome video! Loved The Color Purple! Very interesting barn but, not a fan of Tom Cruise! Y'all's food looked really good. Beautiful old town and buildings! Looking forward to your next vlog.
We always had an expression when we were driving with our little ones. If we saw someone driving with a trailer hauling a cow or other livestock one of us would always say, “Look, he’s taking his cow out for a ride!”. I found out later that they would say the same thing when their kids were little.
Ooof try Mooresville aka “Race City” capital of NASCAR the “Days of Thunder” barn is open for public. Also if a baseball fan Main Street has a full block moral of “The Moore’s”
To write just how that church denomination is pronounced: Ap- poe- stall- lick. I know alot of people that are that denomination, they usually have the very strick beliefs of women wear long hair, no makeup, they wear dresses, they usually don't watch TV etc...but the people I know are very nice and friendly people
Okay just saw you did go to barn you were only 2 miles from “The hunger games” district 9 houses next time it’s awesome across from Stutts road in wood trail
Huckleberry Hound... I remember watching reruns of his cartoon and the Laff Olympics (where I remember him most) and I didn't look him up. You just have too much information tumbling around that brain of yours Adam! lol
So cool Adam, I love this format of meeting up with someone local to the areas you explore to help show the culture and film history, very cool! 👍🏼
Love Rayen, so laid back! Great to see you guys filming together again!!
Love this it’s like stepping back into time. You could only imagine what those buildings looked like when they were built. Another fun adventure you took us. Thank you to both of you. 😊
I'm so happy seeing you doing what you do best. Off the wall places and historic information... LOVE IT❤❤❤
Hi Adam, I would love to have seen these towns back in the day hustling and bustling. It’s sad that there is hardly anyone around when the streets would have have been full of people. I appreciate you showing them to us.
Your buddy is so chill. You can tell he’s from the south. Cool dude
That (15:15) is just gorgeous the way the red brick shows through the weathered paint!
Thanks for the shout out Adam and Rayen! Good stuff!
No problem ! Great spot
I love this kinda stuff. You know small town Americana, American history, trivia and all that good stuff. I also feel like it’s about to get more and more popular.

Absolutely a Wonder Dog!! Watched as a kid. WAY before your time!!
I lived in Mooresville back in 2008. The barn was one of very first movie location visits. Awesome video as always!
The Day's of Thunder barn use to be in the country back when the movie was made but Charlotte has grown so much since then that its now in the middle of a metropolis!
😊 you had me at "Randy Travis ". Love the feel of this place. Great job!
Always a great day hanging with Adam!! #DigginUpBones

@nerdlocations Cool video bros! I enjoy seeing y’all on a video together! I love the old thrift shops and yard sales also!
Good times buddy
Thanks for all your hard work Adam. Long time subscriber here. Look forward to your videos every day. Lost my 16 year old cat to kidney disease last week and your videos have been a nice distraction.
I am sorry. I lost my 20 year old three-legged cat two weeks ago.... missing my buddy so much. I know how you feel. The videos are a nice distraction.
Our indoor 14 years bunny rabbit passed away last week of old age, very sad 😢
😢🐱

The chicken 🐔 trucks 🚚 are probably going to the Tyson plant near by there. It's in Monroe area.
"I don't want to have a Thomas J moment" Adam, I believe you have a movie quote for every scenario in life!
In Marshville, I remember at the side street and 74 there was a telephone pole disguised as a tree.
Livery, Adam, is pronounced like the movie They LIVE. Like the internal organ liver. 👍
Good video 🥰
Anyone else notice that the brick building at 6:25 had a door on the second floor that had no deck or stairs? It led to only a 10 foot drop! 😆
He does notice a different building with a random door upstairs at 10:20
I enjoyed listening to Randy Travis with my mom🎤🎶 Ironically,Chicken Truck is a real country song by John Anderson🐔🚛

Adam keeping it real… Bring it!!
30 years ago when the movie was filmed that WAS a field and a farm.....There was no shopping center...
These last few videos have been awesome!

' Randy Travis, a national treasure here in Marshville' 😁

Huckleberry Hound, MY favorite
2 cool dudes hanging out in the South.
Huckleberry Hound Adam !!! Come on. Haha
28:05 that right there is Huckleberry Hound!
So now I'm watching Huckleberry Hound cartoons on CZcams. AWESOME!
Come to New Hampshire sometime!
“Take a penny Leave a penny” - Ben Franklin
Huckleberry Hound!
Ooof try Mooresville aka “Race City” capital of NASCAR the “Days of Thunder” barn is open for public. Also if a baseball fan Main Street has a full block moral of “The Moore’s”
Also “the hunger games” first movie was filmed just 2 miles from days of Thunder barn and the district houses they made r still there.
Gotta love traveling, escape life's daily demands, personal dramas and deadlines, you have a clear mind and recharge yourself...
But when travelling you're going to places where other people are experiencing life's daily demands, personal dramas and deadlines
I'm a nerd and enjoy watching locations !
The Color Purple house is In Lilesville. Would have taken you roughly 30 mins to get to it
Hee Haw salutes Randy Travis' hometown, Marshville North Carolina, population 2565. Salute!
Hi. The mural you saw was Hong Kong Phooey. The hat is the giveaway.
That's Huckleberry Hound!

Adam, have you ever been to Brattonsville? Historical & filming locations. I can’t remember if you have.
Morning Buddy...Old GG..😂
Ha yep
I believe that if the chickens could cross the road to escape that truck, they definitely would! 🐔 😀
Have family in Maiden, near Lake Norman. Very nice area.
Celebration tee shirt sighting
Adam did u ever ride Days of thunder ride at Great America in SJ CA? Its was a cool ride.😊
I have friends that live near that area, I've ridden around and a nice little area, marshville, Wingate, Monroe
Too warm for a knit cap! 😂
Okay just saw you did go to barn you were only 2 miles from “The hunger games” district 9 houses next time it’s awesome across from Stutts road in wood trail
They should restore that barn and rent it out for events. But I suspect it will be torn down.
Huckleberry Hound... I remember watching reruns of his cartoon and the Laff Olympics (where I remember him most) and I didn't look him up. You just have too much information tumbling around that brain of yours Adam! lol
