The dds need to clear mines ahead of the team and add damage to small enemies. The cruisers need to rapid fire take down enemy destroyers and help clear the skies. Then, along with the bbs, they need to hit all the mainland guns. The most challenging part is defending the landing craft when you are out of position and again clearing mines so those ally bots don't take too much damage. It is an easy operation to win but a hard one to get all the secondary tasks. It is perfect for a coordinated division, but a challenge for a bunch of individuals.
Operation 9+/10 , but rewords system and rewords CRAP 3/10 , I have grinded all rewards from first stage in 1 day on Atlanta EZ , but then you get 14 start for crapy signal container , in 2 weeks there will be regular d day container , I bet 14 stars to get one , and then you got 0.3% chance to get Nelson , Stord 43 or Belfast 43 , and then 0.1 % to get Rodney , Orion 43 , Montcalm , that is just ridiculus , no section in armory to get reword for some new curency , and those ships not so good ! , they could introduce extra -25% coal/steel cupon for stars , Idont understand WG strategy , people spend cash on game when they have fun , and now I wish that someone just buy my account , I have played 2 weeks ago Cyberpunk 2077 for fist time , and in that week I had more fun that in wows since 2018 when I started to play game :/
Yeah those airstrikes have an insane combined alpha on their bombs. A Gouden whiffing his airstrike is an easy like, 300k potential damage because of that.
from a technical point of view, such small bomb carpets are actually particularly effective against airfields, as they completely destroy the runway with just one approach
I've been exclusively playing Boise and Atlanta for obvious reasons, but I might have to include a match with Eendracht from time to time now... (don't even remember if I still have this ship)
There doesn't appear to be any sort of damage mitigation on the airfields. A penetration sort of counts as a citadel hit, so you deal max damage no matter what armament you use.
Airstrikes on airfield, WTF.😲👍 I made it only to Eendracht railgun accuracy vs Schnellboots. But during german campaign on PTS, all mates died. I scored with their 80 percent damage buff 333K dmg on Z31😂. That would be a buff for randoms, imagine no more wipeouts.
@@1_2_die2 I've had a look at the replay of that game this morning and while my reticule was placed correctly on target from in game perspective, looking at it with free camera view it was considerably behind the target. This is clearly a bug so I put in a ticket with WG.
@@1_2_die2 - use AP on the bunkers? I was using Atlanta yesterday, found HE to be pathetic against the bunkers, switched to AP and the bunkers just got smashed. Adversely using Nelson, the AP could only manage 6k per salvo (all overpens) so I had to use HE. Atlanta AP salvo actually did more damage than Nelson HE salvo. And Atlanta fires every 5 seconds vs Nelson every 30 seconds. Leave the BB's at home for this operation mode.
The bunkers actually have some "armor". Unlike the airfield, if u shoot the airfield the dmg counted as citadel dmg. So ur shells and bomb actually doin full alpha dmg. If u shoot bunkers they counted as normal pen dmg,
@@lunsmann I only use the Eendracht, it's good enough for that 1st operation - especially for the airfield and the ship based ASW. Maybe will switch ship for the 2 following (harder) operations.
I thought Atlanta was king in the op, I went from getting 500-1000bxp per match in BB’s to 2k+ each op with Atlanta. I fully admit I realised the first match in a cruiser, BB’s are utterly useless. I expected the shore artillery to be armoured like in regular ops, so to require high calibre AP.
Meanwhile having 1 or more BB on the team is a handicap… I don’t think most players realise how terrible an idea BB’s are in the op. I certainly didn’t I was grinding the last few kills for last weeks Dockyard directive. Swapped to Atlanta and tripled my bxp per match.

That and Atlanta. The DPM on shore targets and with only small targets in the water is ridiculous.

Tried that this morning on one of the gun batteries but it didn't do any damage.
Nicely aimed 1 drop deals ~11k damage to a bunker. That's roughly the same as a HE broadside from Eendracht.
