I really like what Honda have done here. To me, this is dimensions better than the last Civic in terms of both exterior and interior design, it seems really well-thought-through and purposeful this generation. Rory you are the KING! I was waiting for the EU version of Civic since it was released in the USA and you are the first reviewer who reviewed it! That says a lot about you and your work! Keep going mate! I was a bit cautious on what we in EU can expect from Honda after I have seen countless reviews of US version car but based on what you have shown Honda blow me away with this EU Civic. They improved so much from the US version and the US version was already a fantastic looking car with great features. But there were some small things I was missing, ventilators for the back passengers checked, panorama roof checked! I never been so excited about some car like I’m now. I just hope that the powertrain and engine will not disappoint. I pray Honda did find and gave the Civic some punch compared to other electrified vehicles like Jazz, CR-V not just on the paper but in the real ride. The Micheline tires are giving some hope that this powertrain will be fun to drive, let's wait and see. Bring us drive review Rory as soon as possible and keep up the good work! God bless and stay safe!

An excellent car for sure. I've had 2 Civics over the years and they are very reliable and have great MPG. All passengers should be hybrids or full EV. The hybrid technology has been around for over 100 years (if you really want to get technical about it) but the last 20 years has seen huge technological advances in Hybrid tech. I drive a 6 year old luxury hybrid that gets 27 in the city and 36 on the highway - and it weighs over 4000 lbs. With todays technology, we should be driving Hybrids that get 50 mpg in the city and 75 on the highway - and Not give up luxury and HP.

That model is "cab forward" and the A pillars are very stout with an additional vertical beam. Under the right conditions, the setup has a large blind spot. The pedestrian was walking at dusk and for a few critical seconds their walking and my turning was in perfect alignment to render them hitten by the A pillar. If it wasn't for the passenger alert it could 've been worse. And I thought it was all about the c-pillar up untill this year.

I’ve had a 9th gen for the last 16 months, a 1.6 diesel and I’ve been super impressed with the performance/ economy (my first diesel, apart from a disastrous A3) it’s so solid and roomy and looks very sporty. Not a great fan of the 10th gen, I can see me getting this 11th gen in the future, if funds will allow. My car has gone up £2000 in the time I’ve had it and for me it’s been better than the Golf equivalent I had at work, I’ll be keen to take this for a test run in the next wee while. We have 2 10th Gen Civic hatchbacks one is manual 6-speed and the other CVT. The build quality is pretty good, and the interior especially feels spacious with lots of room in front seats and comfortable seats as well overall. The car also has a low sitting position (10mm lower to the ground than the mk9 gen) and its larger in size. The CVT is smooth and better than other cvts found in general, and my mum can drive it as well. But I personally like the manual short throw gearbox, it feels nice and sporty especially the sitting posture and wonderful handling the car has, the car can also fully turn (steering) in one circle of the steering wheel instead of 2 times doing it like most cars which makes it very manuverable in mini roundabouts and parking etc. The best thing is it has a lot of kit as standard which is normally found in high trim levels to its competitors like the Golf, the adaptive cruise control is very helpful in traffic as it slows down on its own and speeds up assessing the vehicle in the front, instead of manually adjusting the cruise speed up and down in motorways like in normal cruise. Lane assistance, auto brake-hold, auto full beam blip when its too dark, apple car play and android auto + reads the speed limits and signs on the road and the driver's display is clear + all digital. Only thing is the infotainment system isn't the best but you can just use android auto or connect by bluetooth etc. and its fine. I think the car is excellent value for money and the looks grow on you the more you keep it, the engine is also punchy and good to drive. The 1L Vtec Turbo is so well refined, it provides the same power as a 1.8 found in worldwide models. Its one of the the best 1L engines providing 130bhp which is amazing considering a 1L size (honda says they really tried to make it as efficient as possible) I think the car is excellent value for money and you may quite like it after you test drive one, but the new one also looks great and promising with the mileage as its hybrid :) but the mk10 is a great civic honestly speaking. It really does what you need it to do and the back claw rear lights look great glowing in the night ✅🔥

Car looks good, thing is you highlight exactly why crossovers rule for families. I’ve got a rav 4 which is probably similar in length yet has a massive boot, an order of magnitude more space and comfort and is easier to get into and out of let alone load children into their seats. I bet it’s more efficient too even though it’s awd.

My family rented a 10th gen one for a Thailand road trip, pretty roomy, functional interior, but terrible screen and the CVT got really vocal when my dad was pushing on the mountain roads with steep inclines. This new one looks quite stylish and inoffensive, definitely not like the one my family drove. Because of COVID, there haven't been any motor shows, or similar events in my country where the public can get up close to new cars, so still waiting to check this new one out.
