Actually, this is actually faster with the 4s Kraton's Backflips on. The stock tires get it to 57 mph. These Backflips got it to 62 mph with the same stock gearing. If you can believe it, as awesome a truck this is with the regular stock tires, it is even better with the 4s Kraton's Backflips. It handles better and is even more ferocious off the line which says alot. These definitely fit this vechile better. The Kraton is actually not that big of a vechile when compared to it's competition. The Sledge and Kagama are both bigger as is the BigRock. It is about the same size and weight as the Maxx actually. Definitely the best truck of the bunch though.
Got my new Arrma Kraton 6s EXB last night. Batteries come tomorrow. After work today I will be spending the evening and morning prepping and hope to start learning my new RC tomorrow afternoon.
So glad you mentioned the wheels and tires! Whenever I get an Arrma 6s truck I put the 4s Backflips on them! Not only do they look better but to me they help save the diffs in the truck! Less weight to rotate and less stress on the diffs! I was blowing out my rear diff a lot on stock wheels on my V4 Kraton and decided to try the 4s Backflips and what a difference it made!
definitely different strokes for different folks because the 4s bf tires are horrible to me and blow up way too easily. The 6s backflips are more durable, better air correction during jumps, etc etc.
I have to apologize, I actually took your advice and went out and bought the BACKFLIPS as you reccomend and absolutely no speed is lost. These are fantastic! The only issue with going to a smaller tire is you are gonna lose top end speed unless you go to a bigger pinion. It's been calibrated for those larger tires to hit those advertised speeds of 65+ miles per hour. That said, you again hit the nail on the head. The stock tires are too big and the tread pattern, given that it is spike like restricts the vechile on pavement. In the summer months this is going to cause overheating issues. I've noticed that the truck runs hot alot alot and I am thinking the tires are causing this. The Big Rock's tires might be an option as well.
Based on just this one video, I subscribed to your channel. Best 6S EXB video I've seen yet. All great information. I picked one of these up last week, mainly because of all the changes I saw. I was considering the Sledge until I saw the promos for this come out and bought one sight unseen. I even sold my XMaxx to get the $$ for this one. I already have a Kraton 8s, so now I have the tougher little brother to it. Keep up the great work.
I actually also own an Arrma Talion exb which has been fantastic. When comparing the the two, they look the same meaning just adjust the pinon to a larger one, put on the Katars and then you have a Talion. Or vice versa but with Talion and them larger tires, put in a smaller pinion.
This reviee convinced me the get my 2nd rc ever, all within 3 weeks of getting an xrt ult. I thinn i preffer arrmas. If they released a 2.0 version of the 8s ill get that one too
Yeah I took my Kraton 6s out with the 4s tires on there is definitely a big difference. I didn’t get the Thermal shutdown which was awesome because I run it on grass alot unfortunately but the smaller tires kept it much cooler. I have a Max6/1650kv combo. I wonder now can I go up to a 20T pinion with this set up and also do I need to adjust the diff fluids in my front and rear diffs? I have 1 million in the Center but I haven’t touched the front or rear. With the increase in speed do I need thick fluids in the front and rear?
I couldn’t agree with you more brother! What an amazing video. Great job. Im gonna try and save up all year long just to get this truck. Single Dad life so it will take a while. My little girl first no matter what. Love your channel brother. Hopefully I can find one of these used or even a roller sometime this year. I have a 8bl150 and a 2050kv motor so that’d be awesome if they made a roller. I’d even love to grab any 6s Kraton rtr or roller and I’ll gradually upgrade to make it like this. You made the best video on this truck!!! Thanks for taking your time to make it. Happy new year!
@@ParkflyersRC no problem brother. Appreciate such an in-depth review. I’m going to try saving up to get this or the kagama. What’s your opinion between the two?
Happy New Year. Do you have links to the titanium screws and othe parts you whur talking about. I couldn't make my mind up between the 1/5 and 1/8 kraton exb, but your review made my mind up for the 1/8. Thank you so much again for the help to chhose the right one.

I just picked up this EXB and I've also got a Submariner. My Sub is a Bluesy though. You have great tastes! It's an interesting comparison for sure between the RC and the watch. I think you've nailed it. Rolex doesn't make fancy hand made high horology watches. On paper they're pretty basic watches actually. But what Rolex does incredibly well is simply obsess over every detail to make their watches the most durable, easy to wear watches possible. There are more interesting watches, better finished watches, more complicated watches, more artisinal watches, but it's hard to find a watch that's easier to grab and go and never ever worry about in literally any conditions compared a Rolex. This is the perfect ready to run RC and the Rolex is the perfect ready to wear watch.
Can't wait to get this car but unfortunately now affording for a real car lol. the 99 camry with 102k miles is just getting a little told outdated for me!
I had the sledge, to Manny problems and chassis keeps bending. Very weak car for what it is. Sold it to get for an x-maxx intimate. This kraton exb was my next car. Have it for 2 months now and so so happy with it. Traxxas 1/8 rc are the most overrated rc cars to date. Their 1/5 rc are beasts. For get about the sledge and by any other brand then that thing. It's a money pit like most of Traxxas 1/8 rc's.

Exactly as my Arrmas get older the wheels get smaller , when you can tell my rig has 100s packs through its on buggy wheels and usually narrower

Question, why 4s Back Flips and not the 6s Back Flips?
Don't know about the 4s, but my 6s won't do standing backflips because the wing hits the ground and makes it cartwheel
@@fartdonkey8290change your punch setting to 8 or 9 and it should do standing backflips.
