You can also just right click on the video and Extract Audio then delete the video.
hi, and thanks for this video. i appreciate it. would you please create another video on how to create a video presentation with slides in canva for video lessons? I don't want to show my face bc it's not important at all, i want to create a 15 min video lesson with multiple written slides that shows statistics and all the main discussion points as I'm talking through the slides in my video lesson. i want to know if Canva can create my slides if I input my written script for this lesson into canva, and I also want to know how can i synchronize my talking pace with every slide. i want to make sure the slides don't move ahead of my speech. this would be a great tutorial not just for me but for any business owner or digital creator who wants to create online programs. thank you so much!

Canva has the “Preaent and Record” feature that allows you to record your talking head or voice only and go through your presentation, slide by slide.
This works in Presentation documents only ☺️
I was just messing around with this yesterday. However, I had a hard time with a couple things:
1. The record screen option, doesn't record any audio, other than what the mic was picking up. Is there an option to get both the audio from my voice and the audio that's on the screen?
2. There was some limitations on the editing of what was on the screen. I wasn't able to, for instance, blur what was on the screen. I know other programs have these features, but I dont want to open yet another account with another program.

1/ that depends on your system setting, you need to figure out how to record audio while screen recording ... it's a bit complex (on a Mac), but I know it's doable.
2/ yeah ... Canva is still not perfect for editing videos ... let's hope they keep improving it 🤞

I still have difficulty in following as my screen does not look the same. In the US - changed from the app to the browser and still cannot find the thnumbnail view, duration I have, no thumbnail to even get to scissors. I love your channel, as I have learned so much. Your screen might look different because you are still on the older version of the Editor... which is OK, nothing to do, just wait for Canva to roll the new one to more users.
There should be a little arrow pointing down at the bottom of your screen, to get into thumbnail view.
Great video! It would also be great if you could have a live view of your camera in the bubble while doing a live virtual presentation. Thanks for sharing!

Great feature, thanks for the video. BUT: I tried to do it myself. I can choose the camera, I can choose the mic, BUT there is not the option above, where I can choose between "Camera", "Camera & Screen" and "Screen".
What am I missing??? (I am not from India with perhaps your mentioned restrictions but from Germany).

Is there a way to add a visualizer animation around your talking bubble?
You could do that after filming, yes. By simply adding that animation or animated graphic near or around your talking bubble on your project (I mean once you’ve left the Recording Studio).
Great video. I have unrelated question with regards to the tool you are using to highlight the sections you are pointing to as well as the curved arrow. Could you share the name of that tool?

Yes, you can create an AI avatar using one of the Canva Apps, like HeyGen or D-ID.

I seem to have the older version. There is no "Record Yourself" button in the Upload section. What kind of a project did you start with? Can the "Record Yourself" button be a different location? Thank you.
The feature isn’t available in some countries, like India. Maybe you are in one of those countries ?

Not in the Recording Studio, no.
You can check out the AI apps, like HeyGen or D-ID
Please explain how do you zoom to certain parts of the screen when showing smaller details.
Our editors do this manually in Premiere Pro when they edit our videos. With keyframes.

Make sure you are using Canva on desktop, via the web browser. Also, it’s not available in India, not sure where you are?
What did you use to create this video?
Our usual set-up:
a combination of QuickTime Player to record our screen and OBS to record our talking head + Premiere Pro to edit.
And of course Canva for our thumbnail and slides

I’m on an iPad. I’ve been playing around with recording. If I try to record more than 5 minutes, it says it can export due to the file type. 😅
Also. I don’t see the recording studio the same on my iPad as I see in this video. Could you do an another video talking about features that are different on the iPad?
There might be a limit because of your Canva Plan, it's more a storage limit than video length I believe.

You can find dark mode in your account settings. Click on your profile picture.
And no, Record yourself doesn’t work on mobile.
When I try to use this, it says my camera and mic are being used by another application. I cannot see which! A tad frustrating. I disconnected from USB and reconnected. They are now working but also with terrible lip sync issues. Anyone else?
have you tried opening up your audio MIDI set up and switching your output speakers to your interface or to the headphone jack
Right click on the device you would like to switch the output for

@TeamRonDi Sorry, I meant I didn't have those choices. I only had the camera and microphone settings. Then, I realized that screen recording is only available on the web. It doesn't work with the desktop app.

I'm just curious: why do you and your wife always face expressions of surprise, shock, amazement, and other unusual expressions on thumbnails? Humans are subconsciously drawn to human faces, and these types of thumbnails take advantage of that, compelling viewers to click on videos they might not otherwise have clicked on. Both of you are trying to capture our attention. It's getting old, and I suggest you show your standard faces. I would visit your channel without those funny expressions on the thumbnails.
