  • Baptiste is my new favourite alto player, and Mark Gross is no slouch either. Just filthy.

    Love how light baptiste's tone is and how phat Mark's is, they both have their own distinct tone but its clearly from a similar source

    The white guy? Kinda okay, kinda nice! The black guy? Man what a sound... It's over after that, hah!
    But yeah, haven't heard these players before, but I have to say, pleasingly surprised man! .

      @saxophonerman1239 Před 11 měsíci +2

      You’ve seriously never heard of baptiste herbing, or mark gross? Both sound nice, Hebrins got a very nice dark alto sound.

    • @jazzupthattriad1257
      @jazzupthattriad1257 Před 11 měsíci +2

      @@saxophonerman1239 To be honest, Gross's tone takes the prize for me. But that Baptiste guy certainly got the chops and then some too!

    I don't like it. Their articulations don't sound right. I don't understand why everyone (in the comment section) is raving about them.

    • @janismillers5344
      @janismillers5344  Před měsícem +1

      You don't have to, but I'm curious as to what you mean precisely. Could you give an example in the transcription where you think their articulation sounds off?
