  • Honda Ridgeline Wow, I was surprised to see how many miles were in this Honda Truck. in this video, I will be showing you the condition that this 2008 Honda Ridgeline is in. After 300,000+ miles in this Ridgeline, the truck looks in pretty good shape. The body was in good condition, other than some peeling paint, and some sun damage on top of the roof. The frame looked in close to perfect condition, with very minor rust. The engine was also in decent condition, I wasn't expecting to run at all since this car come without a battery. When I picked up this car I had no idea if it was going to start, but to my surprise, it did. Overall this 2008 Honda Ridgeline best year look in awesome condition for the year and mileage. If I may ask, how many miles before you changed the timing belt and water pump? Mine was last done at 175k. I'm currently at 239k. I've anywhere between every 60k and 105k. That's a big gap.

I have a 2009 Honda Ridgeline that I bought off the internet from Southern California with 129,000 miles on it. It was bought and serviced at the same Honda dealer its entire lifetime. I had it shipped to me in Montana since I could not find one locally. It hasn't had 1 problem in 3 years, except those little pulleys for the rear seat supports and the air bag recall. I changed the fluids myself just to make sure. I'll have the break fluid done at Honda this summer before hunting season. Everything works and it's immaculate. It's a lifetime vehicle for me.

Bought the truck from a dealer auction for 5,000 wit 150,000 miles on it had the truck on the road for 6 months and the transmission went. So I had the transmission rebuilt for 2,000 & just recently took my vehicle back to the place that did my transmission bc 7 months later it started acting up again luckily it was under warranty for a year. I wanted one of these trucks for yrs now & now I got one & it's giving me nothing but problems. Hopefully after they get this transmission right I'll be more satisfied with it.

A little shy of 150K on my 2007 RTL, though it is no where near as rough as this one. The main watch-out is the radiator issue, but had the radiator replaced a couple of weeks ago without experiencing the transmission fluid / coolant mixture. These really are great trucks! Fully expect it to run for years, as I put a little shy of 500K on a 1992 Accord with no issues. Of course timing belts, and keeping regular service intervals is key.

Just bought a nearly identical 08 with 153k miles for 6k (current 10k value) just to do some dirty stuff now and then. One owner, well-maintained, was able to get it instead of owner giving it away for 4000 trade in toward new Ridgeline! This video and the comments really help me feel like I might have just accidentally bought a daily driver vs. a dirty junk runner. Timing was done at 130k! I think maybe I need some hubs/bearings soon, other than that it feels like a new El Camino. Ha!

I was getting tired of now ‘sitting down’ into my 4th sedan in 20 years and was seriously considering a BMW X5. But the expenses shied me away from bmw’s yet again. I’ve been warned a million times to stay very far away from a high mileage bmw. I’m now on my 2nd Honda Accord since 2009, and they are spectacular cars!!đŸ†đŸ†đŸ„‡đŸ„‡
I just want to sit up a little higher these days. And after watching you start this bomber Ridgeline with such high miles, this has to be one of the most impressive videos I’ve ever seen. Taliban Hunter when your check engine light eventually comes on with a 420 or 430 code, I’ll bet you it’s just a bad o2 sensor, and not the catalytic converter itself. Store this away in your memory and you will thank me later. Also change that timing belt!

    • @kleec7879

@@therivershark Thanks for the heads up, so far no engine light error codes yet but will make a note about what you suggested! Thankfully, part of the purchase agreement was to have the timing belt replaced so i'm good to go as far as that's concerned. The only issue that is more frustrating than non-functional is the Climate Control adjustments only change when I rock the knob back and forth. From what I had read, the entire Auto Air Conditioner Control Unit. Is that correct or could the knob connection is worn out and needs to be replaced?

What I can say is unless your only goal in life is to beat everyone off the line at a stop light (only for them to catch up to you at the next red light lol) then the Ridgeline performs quite admirably in the speed department for what it is.
