Just a fun fact that the Concavenator is in fact a real dinosaur, and its full name, Concavenator corcovatus, means "Cuenca hunter with a hump". It was just most likely incapable of hunting through the sand.
The cryolophosaurus existed too just with it being a modded Ark creature, it needed some extra effects

The creatures in the mod Prehistoric Beasts also have interesting taming methods and are well made.
Ark needs more wierd tameing methods
Haven't tamed one of them yet but seems relatively easy to tame them compared to the Cryo

100% in agreement Syntac, Additional dinos need to be added to base Ark. Maybe Wildcard will consider it since it keeps the game fresh. Course the mod exists, so time will tell.

The concavenator is probably like the ravager once tamed. Probably losing its sand kicking ability, whilst underground, like the ravager loses its bleed effect after tame.

I think the Aberrant Concavs look gorgeous. Also, why don't you try to tame them with a Baryonyx? They don't have a oxygen stat and are very fast on land. And you could use a Karkinos to pick them up and carry them to a safer area.
Ive been trying to tame these guys forever now, I just never have any luck finding good levels.

syntac there is WAY higher lvl concavenators on crystal isles but they are hard to find

I tamed Concas too, and I highly advise everybody to do NOT leave them behind. Their torpor falls quite quick.
I love the concavenators are so cool, just the design is enough to impress but it a well rounded Dino when it comes to stats and abilities to.
The sabers arent the only thing bugging out. Ive had issues with owls becoming unridable or animals not moving. I think the last update broke stuff

Fun fact... at the moment you can just normally tame a vanilla conca with darts, the aberrant and X versions still need C4. I cannot wait till the TLC for Deinosuchus is done, from snipits and sneak peeks i have seen its gonna be amazing.
Watching that thing fly out the ground was oddly satisfying
before i first tamed those myself, i watched the older video you made about those. from that, i got the info that one c4 gives it around 1400 torpor. then i went to the wiki page and calculated the torpor each level had. never thought about just going next to them and checking with that magnifying glass.

a thing i noticed is that the gas mask does help like so syntac can see
I can't express how mad I was when he almost killed it because he more than doubled the torpor reading. He read like 2500 or something but it was actually 1161. I shouldn't have been mad at all, but I was lol

The “bug†that’s going on with the tracking system where it tracks tamed creatures should be an actual thing. There has been so many times where I’ve been at my base and my animals have just wondered off and then I can’t find them. What I would do is either keep it the same way ( don’t make it as glitchy obviously ) or make a separate tab where it’s tamed creatures and unconscious/taming creatures. What do you guys think?

There needs to be an actual krayt dragon mod. A creature the size of a giga maybe bigger that can go underground, generates pearls the more it eats, and spits acid.

I actually did whatever I could to get Ark on Steam JUST SO I could use Ark Additions. I absolutely love the Acro. It brings back that sense of worry when you see it that you used to get when you first started playing Ark and would see huge things roaming near you. They're so strong and crazy. The taming method honestly needs some more fine-tuning as the hitbox for the narcotics portion of the taming method is very weird and difficult to hit, but otherwise I absolutely love them.
I got this really cool naturally-colored greyish-lavender with red and purple sides and a light mint on the belly if I remember. Very weird-sounding but looks cool.
I really do wish they'd bring them to console though. Out of any basic mods, AA alongside some quality-of-life mods should be there.
Edit: with the swimming, it basically seems to pop you out wherever the usual threshold is for the "deep" water where any character would typically start swimming versus running, I would assume. So basically that invisible line that dictates there is actual water there to the game (since in most places you have to get to around that line to even drink, let alone swim). That's my guess anyway.

I like the ark additions creatures, but I think they stretch it a bit with the Acro. Don’t get me wrong I love them but the stomp is a bit unrealistic.
Next tame should be the crylophosurus

Somebody needs to make a compilation of every time Syntac forgets to check his stamina, this is the second time this series he's almost got one of his creatures killed by a giga because he forgot to check his stamina

Once you do go to tame acros if you do it solo, or even in a pair if you can get another to help out feeding I would suggest using your Velonasaur and defiantly use biotoxin over narcotic! Get it trapped like you would a Giga and use a rifle to get it into defense mode then go ham with heavily stam based Velonasaur. Has worked for me every time taming them at least ^^ Be at least an option to try~
