🙏Thank you guys all so much for watching! We are seriously so lucky that we get to make videos that people actually watch! You guys are all the best!!!
-Thomas, PJ, & Mac - Hry
Yo, this is Mac. Made a mistake, the Master Ball can't fail in gen 1. They're hard coded to not fail, unlike the 100% effective moves from those games. Totally missed that when researching. Also sorry for my german number pronunciations, I know they suck 😭
banger german pronunciation, this was some of the best german i've heard
1:46 Kadabra's ban was lifted 6 months ago.
4:45 Come on that's not even a fact.
11:41
That's wrong, the 1 in 255 chance only applies to "100%" chance of hitting moves, people confused it for masterballs and now it's misinformation spread everywhere
Diglett was the first creature ever created who then became a pokemon.
Rhydon was the first creature created *_with the intention_* of being a pokemon.
Other facts:
In the Italian version of the anime Clefable was named Clefarial in the first episodes
The ultra ruin theme reversed is the hau oli theme
There is a type of bee named after Charizard
The most common type combination is the grass-poison type
Combusken is the last Pokemon to have it's shiny colors change for now
It was proven in Legends Arceus that Drifloons do not try to take children. It's a misunderstanding. They just want to play.
Fact yall might not know since these were kind of common facts: The most limited event pokemon ever exchanged was a Tailow from the now abandoned Pokemon Amusement Park. What's more shocking is that is was NOT shiny locked, so there's a chance someone has the rarest event pokemon ever in their hands
Switch stop trying to go a day without creating the best content on CZcams challenge (impossible)
Most of those facts are very well known and some of the facts are just wrong
7:05 I'm a huge drifloon/drifblim fan so I knew this one
The chance that the masterball would fail is a myth and not true at all.
starters and Legendries being favourite Pokémon kind of generic My favourites Misdrevius also may I point out a few errors in this video you can't say no while I'm writing this comment so... Master balls can never fail in gen 1 that's just a Myth however instead of 1/255 of master ball failing it is 1/255 chance of a 100% accurate moves also Electross though it has levitate it still has it's ground weakness if gravity is used or there is a Pokémon with a specific ability that allows it to hit levitate Pokémon with ground type moves but other than that great video!
2:07 Me and my sister actually watched the episode because she had it downloaded on my iPad, but GEEZ there are a lot more flashing lights.
Half if not all are well known
11:07 In case you were wondering, that theory is proven false because it is stated in one of gengar's Pokedex entries that it "used to be a human"
I knew all of these, but I have some facts even the most well researched pokemon fans might not know.
1. The idea that ditto is a failed mew clone is in fact a myth. Even though it is a great theory, there is no reputable source claiming this from those who worked on the games.
2. The people who made earthbound would go on to become game freak. The game shares alot of similarities and even the final bad guy in the first entry in the series mother 1, looks like Mewtwo.
3. Ash never told his Pidgeot he'd come back for it. This was a translation error. If u watch the subbed version, he doesn't say this.
4. the people who made pokemon coliseum never played a pokemon game. All there experience was from making the dragon quest games. And to add to this, the creator of pokemon coliseum stated he has no plans to ever make a sequel or a remake. This makes me 😢
5. Porygon did not cause the seizures, it was a thunderbolt and missile explosion caused by Pikachu. Porygon was used as a scapegoat and was never again shown in the anime.
Are… are Wobbuffet and Mimikyu the same Pokémon, just wearing different “decoy” suits?
Funny how this video dropped right before we got more Pokémon news on Scarket & Violet
Most of these facts are well known or completely wrong.
Yeah
Yes
0:30 I have SEVERAL questions. Who at Metacritic is that prankster? The only differences are version exclusives, Mega Stones and Box Art Legendaries. Looks like someone at Metacritic was biased to either the color red or Yveltal. They are the SAME GAME what, do Sina and Dexio not harass you as much as in Pokémon X? How is Pokémon X inferior to Pokémon Y? I have more questions than answers!
6:10 lightning still dwarfs it being 50,000 degrees
At 4:13, how did you even manage to pronounce all three words so wrong
I knew too many of these
Ok, I figured out which Pokemon are your favorites! Can you tell me if I'm right?
Thomas's favorite is Torchic of course. Gen 3 is is all-time favorite, after all.
PJ's favorite is Mewtwo. He kept Mewtwo in Smash over Ice Climbers so I think it's fair to say he likes Mewtwo a lot.
Mac's favorite is Rowlet because Rowlet is objectively the best Pokemon ever and Mac is based.
1:41 damn even the games shit on Magikarp
it would be cool if a Pokémon game took place in a Canada inspired location
You forgot bug and poison were super effective against each other. Also, ghost and dark types were not very effective against steel types
I remember being depressed when Pokémon rumble rush was shut down
78 is a myth and actually incorrect. The Master Ball doesn’t even look at the catch rate formula and always catches the Pokémon
0:55 Joltik is also 10 cm
I wouldn’t know thousands of facts because I never play Pokemon
What's the lowest rated Pokémon game not counting spin-offs or remakes
Hopefully Game Boy Games come to Nintendo Switch Online
Because of switch stop wanting people to subscribe this video is basically called 99 facts about Pokémon that you didn’t know
You’re late on Kadabra. They are issuing new ones or at least they will now
I knew some of these
Red and Green released in 2006 not 2008
The Wobbuffet thing isn’t confirmed
Another gen 2 shiny fact is that gender affected ivs and females couldn’t be shiny
Chatter was banned in competitive play because people kept recording swear words
That Crystal cell phone connection could trade too. But it was one of the first micro transaction games given you had to pay each time
Pikachurin is connected with electrical transactions in the brain, hence the inspiration for the name
Pokken tournament was named Pokémon Tekken in Germany because Pokken is the German name of a disease
2006 🤨
10:20 69 noice.
Fun fact: the "W" in German makes the "V" sound since there isn't a "W" sound and since I'm of German decent, the fact you mispronounced the German numbers is really cringe to me, here's how you properly pronounce them:
Eins (Eye-n-s)
Zwei (Sv-eye)
Drei (Dry)
So it's Die-no, Sv-eye-lous, and Hy-dry-gon
I'm crying at your German pronunciation.
It’s so bad 😂
@@SwitchStop I didn't mean to overly criticize you though, I enjoy your content, that was just a funny moment 🤣
2nd comment
Man it looks like you boted your videos stop
Second 😉
As soon as I heard you Murder "one, two, three" in German (for Hydreigons Evo line) I quit the video. It's pronounced "eye-n-z / z-why / dry" not "eens, zway, dray". -.-
I'm not even a native German speaker but what's infuriating is the confidence he put in his pronunciation lol
This is a lot of surface level shit
