Fact 13.5: Even if you do have your text speed set to fast, N still talks faster than everyone else! So he’s basically the only character who has ultrafast text speed!
I believe there's an NPC who has the opposite situation to him actually. They talk slower than the current text speed, and will also talk ultraslow if the speed is set to Slow.

Sucker Punch’s name in Japanese is Surprise Attack which is why so many Pokémon without arms like Diglett and Seedot can learn the move

Just like Splash’s name in Japanese is “Hop”, which is why it’s not a Water-type move (except for in Pokémon GO)! Speaking of Splash, another relatively unknown fact is that Splash actually *does* do damage in some games, namely Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red and Blue Rescue Team, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time, Darkness, and Sky, and the obscure WiiWare Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, where it does 5 HP of damage to both the user and the opponent!

Just so you know, Drayden isn't actually Iris' grandfather. However, in the manga, Iris calls him that out of endearment, as he was always a mentor figure to her. The same applied to Alder, actually, as Iris also referred to Alder in that way.
I'm pretty sure Iris also calls Drayden grandfather in the game but should be the same reason you mentioned here.

Fun fact: Gardevoir's dex entry in legends arceus confirms that what Gardevoir uses is actually a dress that isn't part of her body. And honestly, it makes sense. If Gardevoir can create black holes with psychic powers it makes sense that she could also create a dress with fairy type powers.

Gardevoir is a psychic/fairy type in legends arceus. And this fact is treated as if this has been always the typing for Gardevoir and all the other pokemon that have the fairy type.
Trying to apply that kind of logic that you're implying for the games doesn't make sense by the way. Fairy type as a feature was added in gen 6 but that doesn't mean that because of it canonically the fairy type didn't exist for a game like legends arceus or any other previous game for that matter. Heck, ORAS is literally a game set in Hoenn, a region from gen 3 and fairy type exist there too. It's just treated as the most recently discovered type and many pokemon got properly reclassified as fairy types as a result.
@@giboit. ORAS is a remake not a remaster though unless legend of Arceus is in the mega evolution timeline then I'm wrong (probably wrong regardless)just confused about the setting of the games timeline.
I think about Skiddo not being in any game besides X&Y a lot. It’s one of my favourite pokemon and it’s adorable! I really hope that it and Gogoat get added to the next games

Yeah, gogoat is my favourite gen 6 Pokémon and I always go through the trouble of getting one when I play Pokemon X, It's so cool looking and it's also very underrated as a bulky sweeping machine, HECK I've beaten ubers with that thing. In the end, very proud of my lvl 100 gogoat, literally the pokemon to which I'm most attached to in pokemon X right after my Feraligatr and Latias in my first hg playthrough
There's also Pikipek which is only in the 7th gen games. I want to use each Pokemon at least once in one of my teams throughout a game and had planned to use a Pikipek only to then realise that I can only have it in Sun and Moon (and their Ultra variations).
And now that you mention it, maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a Skiddoo on my team the next time I play X or Y.
Proud to say, that after 14 years of playing pokemon heartgold, since it was my very first game, I knew what the shaking pokeballs meant. I played through gen 2 countless times (gold silver crystall) Since my sister gifted me her old pokemon silver cartridge when I was little (which lasted very long, I only very recently had to change the battery) but since I never ran from the sudowoodo I've never seen it hopping around like that, I was really surprised lol
Ash didnt choose pikachu. It was all oak "had left for starters". It didnt all come together. Its a paradox. Oak kept the pikachu all that time, to give to ash whom he knew hed meet future wise, thanks to celebi, so by knowing ash was from the future, when he was a kid, oak had pikachu waiting for ash, knowing hed one day come get it. If he didnt have pikachu, his past experience with ash wouldnt happen, therefore ash wouldnt have the adventure he has now. Its a timeloop paradox.
Yupp no way the person who supposed to hand out new trainers Pokémon just happened to run out of the Pokémon he knew would get picked up that day he recognized caught and saved pikachu maybe even the reason he moved to pallet in the first place
Sucker Punch isn’t actually a “Punching” move it was just translated badly. It’s literal translate is “Sneak/Surprise Attack” from Japanese. It’s noted in the Trivia section of Hitmonchan’s Iron Fist ability.

Machoke's Focus Blast is a Hadoken, not a Kamehameha. The latter is a beam, the former is a ball type attack like Aura Sphere.

I mean, technically both attacks have taken both forms, at various times. Goku has used the Kamehameha in a ball form when he was controlling the attack mentally in his fight against Frieza, and the Shinkuu Hadoken is a beam attack.

May’s Japanese voice actress has a throat condition that has halted her career. In Japan voice actors and actresses are held in high regard, and replacing a characters’ VA is uncommon. That is why we haven’t seen May outside of cameos since the Diamond and Pearl series.

This is wrong. Like most games prior to (I think gen 5 or 6), there was a list of default names that the game would choose from. Yes, Maggie and Dwight are a part of those lists, but they're not the only default names. If you actually try this yourself, it's very unlikely to get Maggie and Dwight back-to-back, as there are 18 names for the male or female character.
Dobbs probably found the reddit post named "TIL the default names for the boy and girl for Diamond and Pearl, are Dwight and Maggie". I don't have my ds with me, but I knew that fact was wrong just from memories of doing gen 4 nuzlockes.
Notably, while the male protagonist has "Ash" under the list of English possible names, the female one does not have Dawn.
Something more interesting about the Gen 4 games, if you evolve your starter before talking to Rowan for the pokedex, he has special dialogue for you.

I think I can explain a few of these.
Around the time the first Meltan event was planned to start players would see a Kecleon and upon tapping it would be met with Ditto, Meltan or just empty space named "???" and "???" CP with no type; the missing sprite ones were hard to find but if you managed to catch it the game always crashed.
Invisible Shiny Bulbasaur is the default Pokemon thrown out in Diamond and Pearl when you hack your way through walls into the tall grass without any Pokemon in your team, the effects are a lot more interesting if you do this while Barry is walking with you. As for the naming schemes in Diamond and Pearl, there's a list of generic names that the games pick from if you tap enter without a name, so Maggie and Dwight are just one of like, 5 to 7 names the game has as a fail safe to prevent a crash if the player hits enter before putting in a name.
When hacking past the e-reader blockade, what happens next depends on your emulator. I don't believe it can be done on a cartridge but on most emulators, the opening will act like a push-block, forcing you out of the doorway. Entering the room somehow (which emulator was even used?) appears to show the sprite of the character for the e-reader event, however there was never any coding in the game outside the Japanese release for what happens when the player interacts with the sprite, hence the game crash.
For anyone questioning the whole Gastrodon hating others of its species of a different color this isn't a nod towards racism, it's a nod towards natural selection. East Sea and West Sea have to compete to gain the interest of a mate so if one sees a Gastrodon of the other color trying to make an egg with a potential mate it wants, it will be aggressive to it. However if the Gastrodon is the same color, there isn't aggression because there's less competition for the potential mate. It's a nod to how some species of slug act with each other to get a mate.
Solgaleo being weak to fire and Lunala being weak to dark isn't nonsense, it was intentional. Solgaleo represents the sun; if there's too much fire, the sun won't shine visibly. Lunala represents the moon; if it's too dark the moon won't shine as brightly because a night sky is just space outside our atmosphere with no color changes and space is very dense, the moon wouldn't be visible through such density surrounding the earth.
Ruby and Sapphire have glitch decorations while Gold, Silver and Crystal have a glitch wallpaper.
Lastly, a lot of the Pokemon color names were copyrighted to prevent rom hacks or home made games that work too heavily off the original games, hence why Gray and Delta Emerald, for example, are copyrighted but never made.

Oh, I'm well aware of the old man in Anistar City, I accidentally stumbled across it by exploring my first time playing back in 2013 & I think I gave him a Pansage or something & after I became champion, I wanted to check up to see how it was going & when I read the note, I knew. I was 22 at the time so it was easy to piece things together, I actually somewhat cried like not actually cried but felt like tears were about to well up. Ever since then, whenever I did an XY play through, I always gave a Pokemon to the old man, suppose I'm a murderer given I've beat those games 4 times, twice for each X & Y.
One thing I don't think I would of found on my own in XY is the ghost girl in Lumiose City that you can encounter after becoming the champion. Back in 2013 when the games were still new & I had completed X already, I was watching videos on the games because I was totally absorbed into them & someone made a video on things you might of missed in XY, don't ask who, been too long, I don't remember anymore. They mentioned the ghost girl so I did what they said to do in order to trigger it & I knew it was coming but it still freaked me out. I kinda wish I unexpectedly found it so it'd be spookier but oh well, don't think I would of found it on my own anyways.

Fact #31: when i first played FireRed I did not know about Crobat's existence in Pokemon. when i got the national dex and Golbat became Crobat I had no clue what it was till a friend told me it was in Gen 2 and FireRed is a Gen 3's take of the Gen 1 remake. Thats how i got introduced to Crobat

Actually Ash has used his pokedex once on his pikachu if I recall. It was in the Advanced Generations series. He was asked questions regarding to pikachus pokedex info so he used his pokedex on it.
In gold and silver and crystal, there aren’t many mean lookers, which is why it is cool that Spinarak and Ariados are also in that group due to the unique move called spider web that does the same thing.
The Beat Up One i found out by catching houndour in pokemon platinum and i was like wondering what does beat up do i mean its dark type, and then this is totally what i imagined it would have done all your pokemon would switch out and switch back out into houndour after the move is done
