@@snehabasak11 it is common in most families irrespective of wealth or ethnicity. I think it could be due to these 2 reasons.
1. A parent (especially mother) has more control/love/attachment for her own daughter than daughter-in-law. Children mostly follow their mothers. Grandparents will find it easier to influence their daughter's children due to the parent-daughter bond. Daughter will allow more (maternal grandparents) influence in her kid's life than a daughter-in-law would.
2. This is on a genetic level. A kid gets more genes from their mother's DNA. Male and female contribution in kid's DNA isn't exactly 50%. It has more genetic material from the mother's egg. So maybe, humans can identify that their son's children are less related to them than their daughter's.
(These are just my hypothetical conclusions. I don't have much empirical evidence here.)

After they manage to get the girl, then slowly try to clip their ambitions, goals & aspirations. Marriage requires mostly giving in to the inlaws family & husbands demands. If the demands are not met, it becomes suffocating & frustrating. But that is a typical Indian household. Betiyon ko better treatment than bahus, always. My mum faced it ( her crime was producing 3 daughters). I'm facing it, killing my dreams for my husband, never getting appreciated for all i did for him...staying with him through all the good, bad & ugly. And have a step mother in law, who threw us out of the house after only 3 years of marriage.

I just have one question, after the birth of Aradhya, when things looked normal in Bacchan family and specially with her husband, I don't remember anytime Abhishek with Aradhya alone in a pic.
