I think your videos are amazingly shot and edited but words can't describe my disappointment whenever a tutorial for a sick effect amounts to "Buy this 50$ plugin that does it"

Completely understand! I used to be in the same boat, but felt this was worth sharing as an option for people who value time & ease for the price tag.

I would also like to add that I too am not a big fan of template packs and tools that just automate things. But this effet, as well as pixel sorter, are effects that cannot be done natively in AE, not just an easier/faster way of doing something. That’s how I try to aim my plug-in development.

hello, can u help me? everytime i put this effect i get message "After effects warning: Motion Mosh: GPU device setup failed; the effect will render on the CPU". I have RX radeon 6700 xt (last driver version), ryzen 5 3600, 16 ram, new after effects 2024, windows 10 22h2. What's the problem?

Not that I know of unfortunately! There are options for achieving datamoshing without plugins, but nothing that looks like Motion Mosh.
