[Project Moon] Tyrant Bird Animated Story | Apocalypse Bird Fanmade Aberration

- Project Moon has made some of my favorite games ever. In those, Apocalypse Bird is my favorite abnormality, both in design and story. As a design exercise a few weeks before Limbus Company release, I imagined what an Apocalypse Bird aberration could look like, taking the old french republic motto : Liberty, Equality, Fraternity. This is the twisted idea that came out. A year later, in tribute to Project Moon, I decided to make a fully animated video of this story. And here it is. This is the story of Tyrant Bird.
Disclaimer: this video has no political value whatsoever. It has philosophical ones though.
Expected remarks: I could have reversed the birds' order from right to left to get the flag, but I wrote the birds in that order and kept it. Birds' solutions might just step on each others', but that just contributes to the irony. The bird's cry is weird, and I have absolutely no excuse for that one.

Original work inspired by Project Moon's Apocalypse Bird's story.

In a way these three feel more evil than the Apocalypse trio, they're so self absorbed that they believe that they solved the problem by essentially murdering every other creature in the forest, at least Apocalypse Bird still saw that there was a problem.

Love the Judgement Bird counterpart (?) being a peacock! The way the birds behave in a much more proactive way instead of exerting their respective actions when there is a (possible) threat in the forest and also deny the existence of the tyrant instead of worrying about it like Apoc differentiates them in a very PM-like way when it comes to comparing the aberations with the original abnos. Great work!
Thanks! They aren't one to one counterparts, a bit of a mish mash, but Tough Feathers would be the closest to Judgement Bird indeed. And yeah I've tried making it have its own identity as an aberration, and not be just a copycat. The story is also written in a more old fable way than Apoc's, or how they somewhat look like in my opinion at least.
I've always liked that PM gives abnormality a twisted sense of purpose.

This is a very neat aberration! And the animation for it fits the storybook vibe perfectly. I would love to see more done in this style!

Especially if we look that in original story the birds didn't ignore that one claim, and after looking for a "beast" They probably found out that the prophecy was already done: Both sun and the moon abandoned the forest, everyone escaped from that horror, the forest was empty and all that left is monstrous fusion of the birds in lonely lifeless dark forest
While in that version they were like: "Nah, rules are the same so all is ok"
I don't know if Apocalypse Bird realized it was the Beast though even after everything. I'd say it's probably still searching to that day.

This is a very well made fan abnormality honestly, i like the name aswell (tyrant bird) as it fits their thoughts and actions in my opinion.
I may be wrong to say this but i feel like this trio is kinda like 3 punishment birds, due to all 3 of them being an active executioner in charge of the forest whereas big bird, judgement bird and punishment bird all has a specific role to play.
Thanks! They all take action, but in itself they aren't total counterparts for the birds, as they observe, judge and act each in their own way. The focus of the separation in Apoc Bird is the separation of those roles, so each has one (like in The City). My focus with this one was more about the separation of the ideals, how twisted at extremes they can be, and how they could yield a weird mix.

For a sec I thought that the birds would have the realisation that the trio from the Black Forest didn't had, the simple: "Wait, there are two others who are taking the freedom/aren't equals/are causing conflicts." and then they would try to impose their principles on themselves.

Since they started judging the forest
Everyone lived in fear
Some tried ran away
Some tried fithing back
And they all died
"I am the way to peace,i am justice
I am the light"
And after all this
Noone could be heard from the forest
Only those words
The forest is now silent and with blood smell in the air
"They broke my light"
"They wont sleep"
"They are too sinful"
With this said the downfall of a tyrant started

Thanks! For this one, I translated the original birds link to the head, eyes and claws to another tri based concept. So I guess if I did Magical girls I'd do the same. However the whole magical girls design is strongly tied to the tarot cards and minor arcanas, so I don't have many ideas rn. Making new "vilains" like the Jester based on major arcanas is the easiest, maybe make some be the girls counterpart, or linked. Making evil magical girls could be something too, based on other minor arcana cards. I don't know if I'll do something at some point, but I guess it'd be interesting to try.

I Love this idea but one snag is Tough Feather, the idea that he pins others to prevent conflict feels off, if possible it would be better if he creates wall that separate people so they would not cause conflict, this would make more sense and give the abno aberration Tank concepts for EGO uses
Thanks! For Tough Feathers, it's not necessarily supposed to make sense. None of their decision makes sense in the end. To each their solutions. Also it's not like walls or frontiers always prevented conflict lol.
I didn't make them around EGOs either, and I don't think it's necessary. If we take Sunshower and Drifting Fox in Limbus for exemple, the umbrellas aren't really protecting it lore wise (they are more like a barely cared attempt at it), though railway 2 did make it protect, and that didn't prevent Yi Sang to use it as such in the EGO. I'd say it depends how you use it. But you're right the feathers could be used as barriers or protection anyway.
