I like how Robotnik's final machine is just a bunch of cobbled together junk, but it is still strong enough to fend off Super Sonic. lol
It's a reference to the boss from sonic 3 big arms. In the classic series it's the only machine eggman has created that could harm super sonic. In sonic 3 when big arm grabs you he'll knock you out of your super form as well as knocking your rings out
If his intellect can design and build something that functional in the middle of battle, he could probably make an artificial PLANET with enough ti- oh wait he did that. More than once. GG.

The small planet from cd was actually abducted for nefarious purposes, and the colors fun park was a tethered station complete with space elevator, and a planet abducted for nefarious purposes. Still an impressive bit of R&D tho.

(26:17) the heavy king is one of hard boiled heavies because the leader is a maximum number (phantom mischief) to get on Master Emerald with remixed attacks (Lava Reef 2).
I remember back when everyone first saw the Encore Mode ending and everyone thought that CLassic Eggman getting sucked into the portal meant that there was going to be Forces DLC.
Jeremy Knight This could be Sega's chance to rerelease Forces with it's level design/story and all it's problems fixed so we can get a proper 3d sonic game. We can only hope.

Fang the sniper (or nack the weasel) didnt come from fighters. He came from a amazing game called sonic triple trouble. Bean and bark however didnt even come from a sonic game infact I think they came from a different fighting game called fighters megamix (I think that's the name)

It’s weird that the Phantom Ruby was used to “restart” the whole game in a little different way. Talk about deja vu. I mean, there’s recolored versions of most bosses and backgrounds. Metal Sonic, however, has a drastic change by turning into that similar monster from Knuckles and the Chaotix. I wished that the giant robot could have been the final boss. Anyway, Mighty and Ray are very cool!😃
His new fight is used in Mania mode as of 1.04 which officially came out the same day, so technically that didn't change either.

Well, either way, it’s like Samurai Jack’s series finale when the Phantom Ruby was unable to be used to do the whole shenanigans again after a cycle. Richard Eubanks Encore mode is essentially a sequel to Sonic Forces if the Sonic Mania Adventures was considered to be canon or at least an animation version of Encore mode, right, and on that ending bit Sonic was on the same pose as seen in the Sonic Forces trailer, which was the sequel to Mania mode. So basically, history repeats itself
Uh, actually, you don't refight Heavy King at the end of Encore mode. Egg Reverie and the ending are only in Mania mode and you can tell by looking at the life bar.

The Phantom Ruby first appears in mania and then in the final boss fight, the phantom ruby goes through it’s own portal and into Dr. Eggman’s base in the timeline that forces takes place in. Infinite then uses it to become the who he is in Sonic Forces. There are comics that take place before Episode Shadow that explain what the Phantom Ruby is.

That could explain why, at the end of Sonic mania, Classic Sonic goes through a wormhole. Because I think that Modern and Classic Sonic are not younger/older versions of themselves, but rather from different dimensions. Think about it, the two only cross over when there's a rift in the space time continuum. Plus Sonic Adventure 1 treats itself like a reboot.

Nah, Cape Mario is fucking broken and amazing. Ray seems too balanced for Cape Mario. He is diluted with Racoon Tail Mario so as to not render him hilariously broken.
You can get some serious speed if you know how to properly utilize Ray. It can be pretty breathtaking.

jonathan Siggins even then, being able to do this good on all of the bosses whether it's on the first try or not is amazing imo. I often have to rely on invincibility frames lol...

For those confused, because Prosafia wasn't exactly clear, this is all Encore Mode gameplay. It handles the characters differently (as you can see with him switching between characters), and swaps palettes, but otherwise appears to be the same. This video probably exists mostly for the sake of completeness and displaying Mighty and Ray.
Studiopolis skyline at night looks so much better than the regular Studiopolis act 1 look. Especially in this boss fight

I discovered in Press Garden as Sonic and Tails(in vanilla Mania), that if I crouch, the saw blades of the Act 1 Boss will never hit me. They will always hit Tails and act like it hit a box. Of course, I don't have to worry about it as Super Sonic now.
