Jeans was like an ad for America for all of us, so many tamil people visited/migrated to America after this movie. And for the rest of us(like me), it is still a dream :D It was before internet, we all used to believe USA was some kind of heaven on earth.

Every song in this movie was jaw dropping when it got released. The visuals at that time, damn, I as a kid the best experience. And ofcourse the god Rahman.

I'm an Indian who visited US for the first time in 1997. I was a kid and we visited the twin towers at the time and I remember admiring the scale of those buildings back then. Even though I never visited the US again for around two decades after that, I had a similar feeling that Rick had when that shot appeared. Something about those buildings was captivating.

Many of you might not know the dress Aishwarya is wearing @06:03 is designed by her. It happened like this, the team forgot to take the actual dress, and they had only one night. But the tailor was there so Aishwarya gave him the idea and that is how they managed to do this shoot. Aishwarya is not only a great actress, dancer, model etc but also a designer .

This movie title jeans have a funny story. Its actually Genes because movie is about twins. Jeans is homophone of 'Genes' but in Tamil language script both spelled same so the producer mistook for jeans and printed it on all promotional posters videos etc. So, they had to continue with jeans

The "Chicago" you see is actually Jersey City, NJ. Grundy Park had some of the best views of WTC and NY city across the Hudson River. Here's another song that Aishwarya Rai shot in the same location at the same time for the Rishi Kapoor directed "Aa Ab Laut Chalein". She was probably shooting for both movies at the same time. This AALC song is quite nostalgic, definitely needs subtitles, and has great views of the WTC building (RIP).
