The Dream Journey - Discovering musicians across Pakistan (A Non Profit Project)
This project will be the sharing of a special experience in which we hope you will want to participate.
Some of the musicians are established and famous, others are among the brilliant budding talent that adorns Pakistan’s musical scene. Each of the mehfils has a distinct atmosphere and mood, but there is a common thread. We asked each of the musicians to stay close to their respective inherited musical traditions, allowing the singers an opportunity to present some pieces that are rarely heard today.
We are inspired to present the brilliance of this contemporary Pakistani vocal music to a wider audience and seek your financial assistance in making this possible.

Akhtar Atta saheb is so contained and the voices of Shahbaz Husain and Javed Ali doing the taankaari are so earthy. Such a wonderful combination!! ❤️❤️

There's an instrumental (sazina) naghma called 'Naghma e Qudusiya' which is basically a zikr, that used to be played while starting the mehfil e sama. I'm not sure but I think it was composed by the sufi poet & Chishti sheikh Abdul Quddus Gangohi. Most people don't know about this naghma which is very spiritual and really a treat for our ears and soul.
This violinist guy Shahzad plays it well. He has played it 4 or 5 times at mehfil e sama at my mamu's place accompanying Moeen Faridi qawal (descendent of Abdul Rahim Faridi qawal).
My request is that please arrange to record Naghma e Quddusiya by taking Shahzad (violinist) and Akhtar Atta qawal (as I think that Shahzad is permanently attached with them) on board. It will be a great addition to your Dream Music Journey.
I can share a recorded audio clip with you if you want to listen it.
