Yup just like the real cornette.
@Nich Hodge Just do what Vince Russo would do. Blame Someone Else, Bro.
To be fair, until Hogan gave TNA the idea that they could compete with Raw on Monday night's, it was a pretty viable company.
I think hogan tried to rehash the Monday night wars again, then threaten to leave TNA so they would have to pay him more, than offer to work for wwe if they pay him even more
+Renata Vaughn
Seriously?
finsfan90 It's not the dumbest idea. And it does actually make sense.
Scott Hadden
Not saying that its dumb. Im surprised that Hogan would attempt that after just getting back in Vinces good graces.
90% correct, up until I'd say 2012 they had a chance to get their footing but they completely screwed themselves...
Two years later and I've still yet to get my CDs, I'm starting to wregret buying them

"Nothing happened during those car rides between Barry O and Terry Garvin, because Garvin was as straight as an arrow!" - Jim Cornette
Now add lucha underground to the mix and that's an extra DVD
I mean Cornette actually admitted later that he was wrong about KO and I can respect that. He admits when he is wrong which I have to respect. However I will admit he is right more than he is wrong.
+Emperor Nero He admits that apparently Owens has changed how he does things between when he said that about him, and now. Weight, work ethic, all that stuff.
+Emperor Nero When Cornette said the things about Kevin Steen (Owens), he said that in the state of mind Owens was in back then. He said, that when he would enter WWE either Owens or WWE would need a psychologist afterwards, because Steen was too often too "stubborn", maybe to obstinate if confronted with critic. Cornette said, if he wasn't going to lose some weight and will not play within the rules of WWE, he will never make it. And he's right. It's not a secret that guys like Kevin Dunn are not confident. Cornette knows these guys. He worked with them for years. So he had all the right to say that, because Steen would have had it way harder than other guys.
cornette has never admitted russo was a better writer than him, because russo got the best ratings.
david smith but for how long did russo get good rating's? when he was a part of the attitude era he had some good ideas but that was it. and jim cornette is also one of the best manager's in this business. russo couldn't hold a candle to jim cornette. you mist be delusional!
jim cornette was out of touch and stuck in the 80s, he was all for a family show of super heroes and pantomime villains. he did not like hardcore matches and too much sex and violence. Russo changed the WWF and turned it into a more adult show. russo and cornette have totally different styles and i like russos style. cornette thinks there should be more wrestling and less storylines. when the fact is i do not care about the wrestling match because it is just a fake fight, i am only interested in a good story line that makes me want to watch the show next week. russo has challenged cornette to a head to head debate for charity and cornette has declined because he knows he would look stupid. jim cornette has made threats and rude remarks to russos family which is out of order. just because you have a different view on what direction wrestling should go in that does not give you the right to threaten to kill somebodys family, not that he would because he is full of shit and would not last 5 mins in prison. its like you obviously have different views of what wrestling should be like than me. but that does not give me the right to threaten you or your family, so you can not defend cornettes actions. if you think i am delusional just because i have a different opinion to you why don't we have a telephone debate where we can discuss our differences like adults.
Please do Vince Russo next. They absolutely hate that guy these days, probably more than ever before.

+osp80 As if no one did it before? Even Triple H did the same thing while feuding with Cena. Everyone Cena faced for the last five years were written off to say the same things to Cena. Hell, during the Bryan/Cena feud Bryan called him out and said Cena isn't a wrestler. So basically, everyone that have faced Cena for the last five years were given a script to tell the same fucking things, and then lose like bitches.
osp80 Agreed, but you have to keep in mind that's not even Kevin's doing. This is WWE were talking about where all the promos are scripted
Dude, you pull off Cornette perfectly! LOVED IT!
Who else is here now that JC blocked Brian on Twitter?
There are phenomenal things in this world and then there is this. This might be the greatest video we will see for the rest of our lives; that Cornette impression was spot-on. :D
Kaltagstar96 Such high praise! Thanks for watching!
Wrestling With Wregret No problem. I think I've found my new favourite CZcams channel. Ironically I used to post on Freakin Awesome Forums but I ain't got half the talent you do. Will we hear a Russo version? :D
Kaltagstar96 I've been hearing a couple requests for that today...since this one has been so successful, it's not that unlikely! :)
Wrestling With Wregret Have Russo and Cornette in a compilation CD with some bonus features Russo's Greatest Swerves. :D
The word is, "retcon." Hope this helps! :)
Jim Cornette helped and played a big part in development of John Cena, Randy Orton, Shelton Benjamin and many others, was responsible for the signing of several wrestlers and future stars during his time on the main roster in WWE and is one of the best talkers in history.
But he said something negative about three or four IWC darlings so everything he ever did is apparently worthless. That is one of the reasons I absolutely can't stand the majority of the IWC.
PlantMaker >people still use the term 'IWC'
It's 2015. The majority of wrestling fans use the Internet. The IWC doesn't exist.
Sorry the fanbase has changed too much for ya, buddy.
Jhon Census But smarks do. However anyone actually willing to label themselves as a smark is probably retarded.
PlantMaker yea,,,right,,,it was Jim that made John Cena,,,,,right...LOL here is a trivia question,,,,name me a company that Cornette worked for that did NOT fire him? good luck...u will need it. LOL
Kenny Bolin He never said that Cornette made Cena, just that he helped him. And by the way, John Cena spoke very highly about Jim Cornette on Jericho's podcast, so there's that.
Jhon Census As long as wrestlers and people in the business still use the word IWC, others can do as well.
I hope the real Cornette gets to watch this one day haha!

I must have watched this video at least 7 times and my reaction has been the same each and every single time... BZ, your impression of Cornette is spot on! It's as if you were actually channeling the man himself... brilliant work, sir!
I've been using "Thank you, fuck you, bye," all the time now. Thank you for that.
telling Kevin Steen that if he lost weight, cleaned up, and slowed down in the ring he might get some where was totally wrong.

Ric Ancira i saw the cornette face,,,,look again
Has anyone tried to call the number
That was hands down the best Cornette impersonation I've ever seen, please do another Cornette video this was epic shit man
funny thing is that people bemoan Cornette who has more experience than most in the industry and in various roles throughout the years but Steve Austin is now echoing many of the same sentiments on his podcast and I bet many people, because he's Stone Cold will say they agree with him yet denounce what Jim is saying!
This is freaking genius!! Not only that, but that list gave me a crap ton of YT searches to do with Jim Cornette today. Bravo!!
0:52 the best kind of correct.
I will say, at first it was hard to figure out where you were going on this. I especially couldn't believe Cornette ever thought the XFL or Cena being unbeatable would be good ideas. Then you mentioned the part about calling out indie wrestlers. Also, damn that impression is uncanny. Seriously, that is freakishly good.
that is fucking hilarious,I mean seriously that never gets old
You may not like him, but at least Jim Cornette is honest and passionate about the business, and I respect that. Bonus points for me, because his hate list is also mine, such as Vince Russo and Kevin Dunn.
WOW what a old comment but I guess I will tell you it was a parody and that they were friends if you didn't already know but now they aren't in contact with each other because Brian made a tweet on twitter not related to Cornette but he used the term old man as a insult to the random person and Cornette blocked him on everything
Wow, you do a spot-on Cornette.
This video has Russo's finger prints all over it
Love your channel/content. But the intro to THIS video was on another level. Thanks for the retro (SNL) Time Life commercial... Fing funny
I think it's a little hasty to act like Owens is a long-term success. We don't even know if he'll be employed in three months.
Brian Zane in WCPW when?
Well, that didn't age well...
@@David_Larkin ikr and Cornette blocked him so it really hasn't aged well
I can't remember if you have done more sketches but this was great. Don't stop if you have more ideas coming.
lyylski This was kind of a spur-the-moment thing but considering how successful this one is becoming, I might just make it a recurring gimmick!
My friend James made me aware of this awhile back, watched it again and laughed my ass off all over again.
Fantastic job guys :) "See Ya in The Past" - SV
0:40 well that one was true
Absolutely
And there are people who actually have the nerve to say that Cornette isn't relevant in 2015.
Kevin Owens looks great now, but I'm waiting to see if WWE won't ruin him
Or if he ruins himself ala Punk
kieran doherty Punk is worth over $12 million dollars. How did he "ruin" himself exactly?
Alphonzo316 Because he's only worth $12 million dollars.
He'll get into a divorce with AJ and lose it
Brandon Tunnel don't worry....they will....just like the did with the wyatts....and countless others
How are you not producing TV for an Indy promotion somewhere?
That was amazing!
Impression was spot on!
So accurate it's scary. I thought you kidnapped 20-years ago Cornette and had him do a roast of himself.
Jesus, that's a good Cornette impression.
Wow I've been under a rock but that was great!...I'm a huge Cornette mark but when the man misses....he misses big!
Ha Hilarious! Such a great Cornette impersonation.
That fucking phone number killed me.
you are absolutely hilarious. and you just picked up another new subscriber. I found this on accident. now I must binge. excuse me.
hahaha i cant believe Cornette liked this. I love that guy
Sweet Jesus that impersonation is brilliant! Did he really say all of these things? I'm guessing he did or it'd be pretty low to roast him for them but the John Cena quote?! That has to be at the very least a little _tweaked_.
Kevin Owens is amazing in the ring. He is monotone on the mic though.
This is fucking GOLD! Expect Steen to show some love.
Gotta love internet smarks who think 30 years working every aspect of the business equates to out of touch with how the business runs today, and God forbid anyone has a differing opinion than theirs
It's a sad day Cornette blocked him... I wonder if anybody called that number
What disk does he say
And on a personal note to Hulk Hogan, you may be a household word, but so is garbage, and it stinks when it gets old too. I'm Jim Cornette, and that’s my opinion."
That's on da Jim Cornette gets it correct box set.
Home run dude. Great job, and good edits!
Well this is awkward lol
I wonder what Jim Cornette thinks of this video?
He really enjoyed it when it first came out!
@@WrestlingWithWregret well that answers that.
No Cornette did not get it wrong. Steen did everything that Cornette said Steen should do. Steen lost weight, got in shape and started doing what the bosses told him to do. That is teh exact advice that Cornette said.
He was fatter than he is now, wow.
can I get the twenty album set "Jim Cornette bitches about Vince Russo and calls him names"
For a limited time only, order now for the 'Rock N' Roll Express will never get into the WWE Hall of Fame' bonus CD!
Fantastic work. Very well thought-out.
I love Jim Cornette and generally find his opinions on the business to be fairly intelligent. He's not perfect and definitely gets it wrong every so often. Cornette has old school sensibilities which sometimes clash with fans who have more modern sensibilities. I still think that Cornette is good for business and would be an absolute boon for any company who was willing to bring him in as backstage talent to help with booking/creative.
Thats not to mention just how freaking entertaining it is to listen to Cornette muse about the business and tell stories from his many years in the business.
I maintain that Cornette and Paul Heyman are two of the smartest minds in pro wrestling.
The take from 1934 though 😂😂 amazing stuff
I sincerely hope someone invests in this idea. This would totally sell on Dragons Den Wrestling With Wregret
LMAO, you're dead on with that impression!
your "bullshit" was spot on, great stuff XD
I'm pretty sure that this is a parody, but I do want to make a few things clear, because I see comments about this all of the time, and they're often taken out of context or misunderstood. Sorry, I just listen to the podcasts on a semi-regular basis.
I can't remember the exact quote, but what Cornette actually said was along the lines of "Kevin Steen has the mentality that's perfect for working in front of 200 people." The overall context of the quotes is that Kevin Steen at the time didn't see the big picture. He wanted to lay it all out on the line in the ring, which is fine, but he was going at a pace that would burn out the engine, so to speak. He wanted to retool Owens to make him a bigger draw, such as lose weight, trim his beard, pace his style better, and play a loose cannon type character. Hmm....this sounds familiar.
As for the TNA thing, that was when he was new to the company and Jeff Jarrett was still basically in charge. That enthusiasm went out the window when Jeff brought Vince Russo back. After the whole fiasco where Jarrett lied about his relationship with Karen Angle and got sacked, he phoned it in.
Zachary W Sorry if I'm coming across as being a party pooper. I think that I need to stop commenting on LordsofPain. I've been seeing a lot of comments where people attack certain personalities over quotes taken out of context, and when I've posted giving the full story, I get downvoted. Which can get you banned if you get enough.
Zachary W Don't get me wrong, I love Jim Cornette and this is all in good fun. This video is kind of a light jab both at Cornette and the fact that sometimes he gets things wrong, and also at internet fans who took KO's push as an opportunity to poke at Cornette and go "See? SEE?" I find the whole controversy a little silly, which is why I made the video in the first place.
Wrestling With Wregret I understand, and I agree with your sentiments. I personally thought it was funny, and since Cornette retweeted the video, I'm sure he did, too. My comments weren't aimed at you individually, it's almost a conditioned reflex at this point. DAMN YOU, PAVLOV!
I'm a history buff and an aircraft maintainer by trade, so factual inaccuracies are a pet peeve of mine. Again, not saying that you go around doing that. In fact, I've found your work to be very well researched and I'm a fan.
But on the wrestling forums and news sites that I frequent, it's endemic along with not looking at the big picture. For example, the trash talking tweet exchange between CM Punk and Hulk Hogan. Everyone was jumping on Punk's case, but when you step back and look at it, it was a case of casual fan vs. hardcore fan. I see it all the time on NFL.com. The only reason why anyone cared was because of who was involved. Frankly, it was relatively tame but everyone took it as Punk attacking Hogan.
Also we're really pointing to Bo Dallas as an example of a guy who made it?
So he actually wanted Batista to buy his CDs... It all makes sense now!
This is one of the most awesome things I've seen EVER! Great job!
I would buy these if they were real, You're awesome Z-Man!!
You have the voice down perfectly, but you can do better digs than that! Expanding on actual quotes (like the Owen one) would have been funnier. Look up all the stuff he said about Kevin Nash in the mid-90s when he was still one of the biggest stars in wrestling, or find one of his quotes about how awful hardcore wrestling is for the business (then show another picture of KO, or Ric Flair/Dusty Rhodes covered in blood)
All I'm saying is this: keep it up dude!
In fairness, I don't think flipping a middle finger ever put an ass in the seats. Probably the part about being a Texas anti-hero everyman who got to fight his millionaire rich asshole boss had more to do with it.
"Out of touch...stuck in the past.... And FAT!" Oh my god
What'd he say wrong? When Zayn and Owens took his advice and made a ton of money.
This is awesome! Great impersonation and parody! 👏🏽👍🏽
I tell you what, you nail his voice really damn well!
That was amazing, great video!
