In my opinion any (good quality) gel blaster hurts more then an airsoft bb, I have the p90 v3 and it hurts like a bitch, but if your going CHEAP then airsoft will hurt more, also my p90 has tons of customizablility.

You'd typically find gel blasters MAINLY in countries like Australia but they have been banned in every state but QLD due to people miss using them in public. I hope they can make a comeback and legalise it in other states as they are very fun and easy to modify blasters. They can be a lot cheaper than airsoft as well, I've seen M4 CQB Electric nylon and metal go for $50USD at 280-90FPS, some of them can go up to 400 fps with modding, but a typical GBB pistol will go up to 300-320. But would be awesome to have a arrival of airsoft which will sadly not be around the corner yet.

I'm from Australia. With gel blasters, we are far more ahead than you think. I have a kar98k by double bell shooting 470fps and above. We have crazy AEG builds. We have pretty much what you have in airsoft, just not as diverse of a range of guns.
Bb guns have fast fire rate and good but sometimes painful when putting powerful gas in the magazine Gel on the other hand is slow but not that painful and can use like diffrent gel balls like orbeese i think.
You can get ones that can be customised like Airsoft. in Australia we have gel blaster that are like replicas of real guns that shoot gel like you said ( but you know more as you collect a lot of them )

Gel blasters can be upgrading just like airsoft, can have any attachments that suit piccatinny rails, and they don't all look like nerf blasters, they literally are airsoft guns but chambered for gel balls

About every modern gun supports both hands And about bolt action guns they are mostly right handed but you can always buy a left hand bolt or they could have an entirely different option for left handed people
I think from an environmental perspective gel blasters are the better play option since the ammo is 100% biodegradable while airsoft rounds are plastic that will be here for an eternity.
Some gel blaster looks realistic to! If you costom the power/fps and some metal part like fish bone and other it can cost around 300$usd, also have gas blowback gel gun like model "GlockP1" from kublai.

Actually you’re a little bit wrong. In the USA gel blasters aren’t really popular, but in China… ohhhh, here airsoft is prohibited and gel blasters are allowed. So here in China we have pretty customizable stuff, almost just as airsoft has.

My only problem is that the Gelblaster replicas are so much more expensive than Airsoft replicas. A 1911 Gas gel gun was $350. $200 more than the airsoft version. So really everybody has the same G36 orange and white plastic gun because it's the cheapest good one.
I like airsoft more just from hit identification. Making it clear I have never used gel blasters however I do not have a field near me for gel blaster. They seem like a fun thing to use in a backyard with friends. The only thing I am concerned about is how you will feel a hit with a jacket on when it is cold. Open to any thoughts on my take.
That's why you treat as a real gun and don't pull it out until your at the field and don't point it at cops. Some airsoft guns have permanently fixed orange tips that you can remove to help differentiate from real guns. Then though I still would treat them as if they are real to be safe

We even have gas blow back and some blasters can reach upward of 400 FPS. They're extremely modular and you can accessorise the hell out of them. They come in all kinds from kids to super realistic with aluminium parts and real wood. Kinda sad how pathetic America gel blasters are.

I just got a gel blaster for 350 that shoots at 370fps it’s called the SRC SP4
