Thanks for posting. Measuring voltage drop is misunderstood by most. Dan Sullivan has some great videos for those trying to get better at electrical diag

The Positive jumper wire between drivers side and passenger battery can get corroded where the 2 cables are sandwiched together causing this same effect as well.

Thank you for this video. Have the same issue with the battery just opposite batteries on my 6.5. Plus the batteries keep draining overnight . My first diesel so I'm learning as I go. This gives me hope it's not the alternator allowing power to back feed when shut off. Going to look at all the grounds better then make clean contact points with some dielectric grease.

Yeah sorry about that I don’t know how the radio thing got in there but no I have a 96 Dooley with the 6.5 know what I meant to say was, I’m going to check mine with my multimeter on DC voltage like you did. Sorry about the mixup. Great video.

Don’t forget to have it running or the problem won’t be as obvious

That would be nice to see more videos on that great radio good job I’ll have to check mine. Did you just use a DC volt scale on your meter?

Do you know where the lift pump ground is?

G404 after the last cab mount on the frame rail for a pickup anyway

@@TRUCK_TECHNICIAN Ok, I'll have to look. I thought I followed the wire forward into the firewall area.

@@jvm3753 it’s usually on the top of the frame right below the filler neck hose

@@TRUCK_TECHNICIANBut, the lift pump lives below drivers door, on inner side of frame rail. Power and ground travels towards engine compartment in the tubing.
