i like that the explanation is that he's just a black guy who's albino, and yet he looks like guile and voldemort had a baby and injected it with shark dna
I thought he was a mutant
I'm going to assume he lost most of his nose in a knife fight.
@@Babbleplay I just assumed it was from having his nose broken a bunch of times, from years of being hired muscle.
@@liltaco4119 A mutant definitely makes more sense based on appearance, his teeth and clearly above average strength and size. I was reading he filed his teeth like that but even to have that kind of tolerance to do that your teeth would not be normal. I always thought Kingpin was some kind of mutant too.
@@rashb3994 yeah that's what made me think tombstone was a mutant. kingpin as a mutant would make a lot of sense too, can't believe I've never thought of that
Tombstone, the best gangster on spectacular spiderman
He is also the big man of crime
tawonga munyanduri naaaa hammerhead is
victor malamu Bro that’s kingpin
Fun fact : Kingpin was going be big Man but soon they replaced with tonestone
They made a good choice
Tombstone is criminally under used in other media
Spectacular Spider-man had the best version of him
I agree.
rhys bailey but it was basically Kingpin
@@soundofmadness595 But better.
90s Tombstone was awesome
Tombstone is supervillainy done correctly. Making him a realistic - edged mobster works so well, and should definitely be in a feature film.
Not really. We never found out why he went bad.
Aside from his haircut and hairline. African Albino people still have black people hair lol its just blonde instead. This is a total white-wash. The best rendition of Tombstone is in the PS4 Spiderman game, because he actually looks his race.
@@mdee391 Some people are just arseholes.
@@mdee391 Probably got picked on for being black and albino, so he decided to fight back and became intimidating so no one would mess with him. It's that simple.
@@brianpj5860 The spectacular spider man had a good tombstone voiced by Keith David
Damn. F for Bruiser, poor guy

I'm surprised Peter thought about giving the tape to the Punisher. That's basically saying, "Do I kill them all, or what?"
To be fair it would have saved lots of lives.
I love the idea of Peter contemplating doing that with other villains.
"I mean...If I just *happened* to mention it to Frank, the problem could just go away. And even if he fails, I can finish the job."
*and then I wouldn't have to deal with this shit...*
czcams.com/video/qPQQKJRPGok/video.html
the fact that Tombstone was as strong as he was BEFORE he was pumped full of gas is pretty scary when you really think about it.
10:50 From level 10 thug to level 100 mafia boss
*That's how mafia works*
Tale Leny Did this guy time travel from January or sum?
Well apparently mafia can time travel and so can we, *that's how mafia works*
Tale Leny Hitman reborn reference🔥😂
He tried to kill Robbie for so long, but now when he is practically indestructible and has super strength, is the leader of crime, now he forgives him. The irony and fact of how power can change things
😂
TBH: I actually like Tombstone he's actually very cool and very powerful.
This story deserves an independent film.. Its awesomely written..
yes and it should be from lonnie's pov
@@sentane8031agreed
Tombstone should be a Luke Cage villain. Stone-hard skin vs steel-hard skin.
Funny thing is that they did fight. And Luke stomped him.
@@venomrulesall I vaguely recall that. It was pretty anti-climatic. He got a better fight from Man Mountain Marko.
I've been saying this for years! Tombstone and Luke Cage should be arch enemies he should become the defacto Kingpin of Harlem like in Power Man and Iron Fist 2016. LC needs to develop a better rogues gallery.
@@ManWiThOutFEAR1982 agreed (and also, update/retcon/properly portay, Luke Cage's rogues that already exist ).
You know, that makes sense
I like how Tombstone mostly spoke in whispers (the dashed lines in his speech bubbles). His character is an abuser. He's manipulative, he blackmails, he threatens his victims into silence and submission, he abides the law when they're around and does his work in secrecy, etc., etc.
The fact that he gets taken down by his horrible past being announced to everyone is a very powerful narrative. Victims often feel that they have no one to turn to.
Bro Tombstone is literally trolling Ronnie so fucking hard. I would be in a psych ward for the rest of my days with the amount times that man kept coming back alive into my life.
Last thing Bruiser was such a good guy I was so sad when Tombstone killed him and made Robbie watch, but at the same time I was happy when his older brother defended Robbie in court and finally got him off his charge. Eventually the fact that when Tombstone got powers I’m even more glad he decided to finally leave Robbie alone and just focused on fighting hero’s and his criminal career.
what surprised me the most about Tombstones origin was that he actually did the good action of friendship towards Robby.
"In my life, I've been called many names, but my favorite is Tombstone."
You mean: THE BIG MAN OF CRIME
TKinfinity
Agreed
I actually most of Robbie in Prison issues. When I was first starting to really collect comics, they were some of the first single issues I would pick up. So this story line means a lot to me. Though I only collected up to the part where Robbie tackled Tombstone off the helicopter, so I never got to finish the storyline, so thank you for this video.
It's a shame the movies have not included the diversity that Spider-Man books have always had!
One of the best spiderman storylines of all time! The fox animated series did a great job adapting it also! Terrific video!
What fox animated series
Tombstone is my favorite spider Man enemy I thought he was a mutant for the longest
Never heard of him
He's actually "The Marketing Department."
I suppose albinism is mutation so he is a mutant by that standard
I think Bruiser is a mutant. The dude is beyond massive.
Looks like he would be Wilson Fisks misplaced brother or something.
Hes just super strong and invulnerable
I remember him from the 90s tv show for spider man
The actor who plays Tobias Whale on Black Lightning reminds me of Tombstone.
He could definitely play him
@@dawolf856 he played him in the Spider-Man PS4 game.
What a great story! I really liked Robbie's character.
Guy oozes Keith David’s voice acting..
And yeah. The best way to beat a bully, is your fist. Win or lose, you got your respect. Back in the days.
Yup.
Well, according to this comic the best way to beat a bully is to give them everything they want - then they will call it quits lol
r/iamverybadass
Sounds like a cowardly bully.
There was a man named Jim who got bullied to the point he now only beat the bully but fucked the bullies wife and made his kids like him, it's weird because the guy was married
So, he was an albino gangster that fell in a Diox3 chamber and became superpowered.
So uh, I thought this was Lonnie Lincoln’s story not Robbie’s
The two are pretty well intertwined. One can't tell one without the other.
Yeah that’s true. Pretty dark history
Tombstone is such an underrated villain
Damn, this story sounds pretty Hardcore for a spidey comic! I've always wanted to read the Tombstone stories on spectacular, this video made me realize I have to get all the issues
Man robbie never would have went to jail after the whole tombstone intimidating him for multiple years of his life was found out.
Too bad Luke Cage show was cancelled, Tombstone would been a perfect villian next season. Rapper 50 cent should protray this villian. He looks like him.
Deven Forteau Or Terry Crews.
reginald grays lmao terry crews
Michael Jai White
Or Tony Todd aka Candyman
50 would be perfect
Is it just me or would this be a very good spiderman movie.
MCU cant handle da hood
Spectacular Spider-Man. One of the Best TV show, best Tombstone
When was tombstone introduced?
Because the story of his first appearance seems well written
He first appeared in Web of Spider-Man #36 (March, 1988) and his origin was first revealed in Spectacular Spider-Man #139 (June, 1988).
dang that's a good story to bad we cant get more stuff like this current year.
How many tons can he lift and where is he originally from, NYC, by way of the south? Also has he gotten stronger? It would be cool to see him in Daredevil series. A force respected by Fisk and Lester any day and any where.
they always get stronger. I cant see Spiderman beating him so easy.
@@realamericannegro977 Very True, what I like about the character also its approach to adversity. To be considered a world class Hitman. Up their with the super villains anti-heroes like Punisher, or Wolverine. and rely on his own tough guy approach and yet speaks in a low tone, but with a corporate mentality and cold calculated approach is like he could open up to many other stories and characters and still remain an enigma
@@realamericannegro977 TRUE
@@JakeTheMuss10454 He seemed like he was already a real threat even without the powers. He seemed scarier than Kingpin to me.
@@realamericannegro977 He's Scarier than king Pin yes, can fight at the level of any real martial artist/ fighter more, so yes. but actually not seen for his high intelligence and an equal to KP. He has that low raspy hard rock voice often viewed as a knuckle dragging thug even though he has highly organized corporate level intelligence and industrial engineering like skills. What's more he has super-like strength which he acquired through exercising and fighting then; without trying to hard he fallz into the chemical vat that enhances him even more. It's like he's meant to be that guy without really having any fault of becoming that person. A very Hard & Extremely cold and callous slab of Stone, unwavering as a gangster. That Robert Robertson story is one of the serious peace of late 80's comics that a lot of people over look. Legal The Racial and the Rising and those who are lowered or fall by the Class based system. They could've or could still do something so much more in depth even if its just comics. This role definitely fits MJ. White.
Tombstone is like a MARVEL Comics version of DC's Tobias Whale from Black Lightning.
you're one of a few people to notice that similarity.
I've noticed it's funny as the guy who played Whale on Black Lighting also voiced Tombstone in Spider-Man into the Spider-Verse
I think he is comic version of Jaws from James Bond.
That’s a good point except Tobias doesn’t have indestructible skin but yeah they are similar
I find it weird that mobsters in comics always hire the weirdest looking people like yeah its done that way cause weird people look cool in comics but if you were a mob boss wouldn’t you pick someone generic looking as your hitman rather then the 6 foot 8 albino guy with fangs as to not get tracked
Marvin "Krondon" Jones III should play as Tombstone in the MCU!
@Ryan Reaves They might I mean Chris Evans did it. Captain America, Human Torch, and the super vegan from Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. So anythings possible.
He already voiced him.
@@karatejoe9999 I know.
But Krondon should play a live-action Tombstone in the MCU.
Thank you so much for this video. Been hoping you would do one on Tombstone. :)
Luke Cage , and Tombstone make sense as arch nemesis , but only if Tombstone duplicates the test that created Luke Cage. As Tombstone is now he is underpowered.
Tombestone is only "underpowered" because of crappy writers nerffing him (always seem to forget that he have super powers, or the nature of his powers, like not only do he have hard skin and super-strength, but also the fact he have superhuman reflexes, meaning, he can move fast (faster than spider-man's spider-sense could detect him).
Awesome job, you`re really good at these, concise but entertaining.
This was a really well put together video.
Finally after more than 20 years I get to find out how that random comic I owned finished.
I have the issue where robbie ends up in the cell next to Tombstone
6:16 I wish I could tell you Robby fought the good fight in that cell and Tombstone let him be.. I wish I could tell you that but prison is no fairytale world...
This is the villain Sony needs to turn into a show or film.
How did Robbie know how much sedative would take Spiderman out? These are the questions that keep me up at night 🤣
Nicely done! I admire your presentation.
Imagine RAIMI’s Spider-Man’s Robbie getting bullied by TombStone 💀
"Gee, I thought we were friends..."
That line has no right being as funny as it is.
He should be the next villain in luke cage series if they ever bring it back
is the show coming back
@@rayshawnwilliams5405 so far no word that I heard but if they are bringing back daredevil for spiderman then why not Cage.
@@JohnAquariusPodcast good question
@@JohnAquariusPodcast good question
I think he has a chain of Lonnie Lincoln Tombstone Pizza Parlor.Right?
Not going to lie, surprised he was chosen for Spectacular Spiderman but damn I am NOT complaining
He would be a great addition in the MCU!
Damn! Spiderman stories are WAY more brutal than I remember!
So he always had super strength and durability even before he got powers
Tiny lister should play him in mcu
Oh, that's a good call!
MerryMarvelite finally someone that agrees
Ninja Student Except that Tombstone is albino. So Marvin Krondon Jones 3 who plays Tobias Whale in black lightning who is albino is who should play Tombstone.
Alexander Pitman I know, but his attitude in the meteor man made me wanna see him as him
Tiny should play Bruiser.
Why hasn't he been put into a movie he would be a good villian on the big screen
lol poor robbie
Imma be honest. I've only scene him in Spectacular and I guess the latest spiderman game but dang tombstone is tank.
What a dope story honestly
8:14 obama is that you?
Jeez! I forgot how long that Robbie Robertson/ Tombstone arc went on for! If we could only get more of the "old" stuff into the hands of the readers now...they'd drop all that new garbage like a bad habit! \m/
Please tombstone is super powered and got beat by a normal every day guy yeah sure. They should have used tombstone more in the cartoons like they did the kingpin.
They did use him in the FOX Kids Spider Man series.
Robert Jr Ebert that is one of the reasons i really liked spectacular Spider-Man
Puzzles me how Bruiser gave him a match. Tombstone before he got powers was way stronger than Kingpin.
Excellent video
4:30 yet he struggles against Kingpin. Tombstone would put a fist through Kingpin's chest.
Bruzer looks a bit like a taned wilson fisk
This was the first Spiderman issue i got as a kid was this story line and was introduced to Tombstone
Hey there I'm here to see his origin story and find out what are the most greatest feat he has survived and his strength at anything he can do with it cuz I'm checking on to see if DEATH BATTLE would like cover him against someone who is villain or hero
Now I wonder what a different version of the Origin-Story about (TOMBSTONE) might be like, including the current years?
For instance I envision seeing a different version of the Origin-Story, that shows events going on in the year2023, and the date of certain characters births would be much different.
Nice video tombstone is so underrated
Huge Sal Buscema fan, that was fun!
What a cool character
I LOVE nuanced villains and anti-villains.
Bullseye & Tombstone should team up against Spiderman, like to see Bullseye come after Spidey.
Something about these older comics
It was funny how roby knew that tombstone was friends and enemies where tombstone was very obsessive and ignorant to get what he wanted wow.But he was a badass deadliest character though.
what was up with tombstone tending to robbie's wounds when they fell in the forest? I thought he would have killed him
I hope he appears in the MCU
Tbh I prefer the big man of crime version of Tombstone
That version is based on how he is currently in the comics.
Man, this is a good fucking character
So basically tombstone doesnt age
Robbie is the heart and soul of the Daily Bugle
If you want the arc of tombstone and Joe Robertson in prison then read the spectacular spider-man issues 150-161, if you love Joey as a background character, and also want to see what tombstone can take and do, then this sub plot arc is a must read for any Spider-Man fan.
Cheers to phenominal narrator! Godspeed
I demand Disney/Marvel hire Kyle Vincent Terry to play as Tombstone in the MCU he would be perfect for those that don't know who he is its the same guy that played headhunter in the Gotham tv show
Trinston was here ..
Tombstone been a real G
8:08 did this man really say that 😭
Tombstone lives up to his name
i would like to see tombstones go at it with deadpool and see who would win?
They already fought in Suicide Kings #5, Deadpool crushed him.
They already fought
Great story
Was that the only abilities Tombstone gained didn't he have some control over his density he could increase his weight and lower it and had the ability to see in the dark and gained one other strange power to turn into stone living rock if not be handy?
Tombstone and Luke Cage should team up or he needs to be a foe in a Luke game
Awesome 👍
Can you do Genis-Vell or Blue Marvel?
Tombstone is quite the personal favorite of mine.
Holy Shit this is crazy.
Oi Josuke !
