Göteborg is a friendly city on the west coast of Sweden. Home to a vibrant cultural scene, beautiful nature and a fascinating history. It’s the second largest city of Sweden.
Well done, Martijn! Binging through your videos, the bucket list just gets bigger and bigger :D
Thanks! There is so much to discover;-)
I live here❤
I live in Gothenburg and consider it a cozy town, easy to get around, always something chill to do. I usually travel by electric scooter and rarely use the car because they build too much and you easily get stucked in traffic. trädgårdsföreningen is amazing during the summer months now
Hey what kind of your job ?
Have you any other country in the world . Compare it with others. Your city has nothing. Just walk to your river side .Forget nice restaurants or coffeehouses etc , there is not even a normal walking place there . Old, colrless, boring and outdated buildings and threes . What else do you have . Look at your only showing mall from 50 or 60s surrounded by several awful buildings . The city has only two main roads!, Aveny and Linne . Do you call it city . Come on dude . Create something that make the people living in that city happy and able to put up with crappy weather.
Heading to Gothenburg in 2 weeks this video is super helpful!
Enjoy your trip!
Heh heh, my Gothenburg itinerary is filling out quite nicely
Conoci Goteborg el 2021, en invierno, es una ciudad encantadora, me gusto todo.
Thanks for the video
Nice City, simple and interesting.
Another excellent video, as always. Thanks tons!
Thx 🙂
Looks like home 😊
My friend is in the city right now. I gave her tips from here. Thanks
I hope your friend enjoy the city!
Мартайн, очень интересно рассказываете и хочется побывать в этих местах!
Thank you! Have a wonderful time in Sweden
Saknar dig Gbg❤
Great video and i am very impressed by the pronunciation. It is clear to see that you have done your homework.
Thanks!!
I’m looking to study in Gothenburg or Lund, hopefully if my scholarship comes through, I’m so inlove with both cities, so I’m just watching lots of videos of both cities and getting pumped with excitement. Loved this!😍
dont forget your winter jacket
Göteborg Sverige bästa stad Love Göteborg love

Martin, that's very helpful thanks. We have a holiday in Norway next June, and we have arranged a week we can plan ourselves - Gothenburg is very high (#1) on our list. We have seen some other suggestions if we use the city as a base. Maybe go to Marstrand, Styrso, or even Vanern (a long day trip?). We even heard about features in the countryside nearby like stone circles, but they might be difficult by public transport. Thanks again.
I've just re-read my post, and it sounds like I think Gothenburg is in Norway! The week we have in mind is after our Norway trip but before we fly home. It looks as though we could easily get a train from Oslo to Gothenburg and see a part of Sweden on the same trip!
❤❤❤❤❤❤
That's a very Dutch pronunciation of Haga :)
(Also, it is a nice neighborhood but Majorna, Linné and and Masthugget are more fun IMO.)
Very excited to visit. The museums you recommended would they have the information for exhibits in English?
Hi Lisa. Yes they have also the information in English. Enjoy your trip!

Swedens best automotive brand is Koenigsegg!
You listed all of the standard locations... why not enjoy the view from Masthuggskyrkan, take a walk up Ramberget, stroll around Eriksberg? All guides seem to avoid Hisingen although it makes up half of the city. There is a (partly free) ferry that takes you across from Stenpiren. Or pick up a rental bike, and leave the city for a moment and take a look at Gunnebo slott? Imho the city has a lot more to offer than the standard locations.
Can I use the same my SL 72 hours commute pass in Stockholm and Gothenburg as well ? Please let me know ...Thanks
no, in gothenburg we have Västtrafik and its SL in stockholm im pretty sure
Geuteboorg!
Nederländerna!
Weet je dat gotenburg is gebouwd door de nederlanders?? Op verzoek van koning karl.
Ja. Dat zie je ook terug in al de kanalen in de stad met de bruggen erboven
1:38 wtf was that?? Haga??
me living outside göteborg watching this like 👁👄👁
❤️❤️
The best day of my life was when I ended my employment and left Gothenburg for good, it was fifteen years ago and it has been fifteen really good years. Gothenburg is a big fucking sewer.
Hai bro i need you help
Forgot the best areas. Angered and Hammarkullen. Vibrant areas with a lot of interactions welcoming Swedes where you can sample various local delicacies.
Thanks for your extra advice. I don’t show food, restaurants and things like that in my videos.

@@MartijnAroundTheWorld sorry mate. my girlfriend is from goteborg. so i wanted to comment in my language. i enjoyed your video. tacks mychect

göteborg 😂
Turkish'e go
Terrible music.
You hate it or you love it ;-)
@@MartijnAroundTheWorld I'm not the only one
@@matshanssen2070 What kind of music should be better?
I watch all of these just to hear the mistakes in pronunciation. Why don't they check before they just say whatever and hope for the best. Worst pronunciation of Haga that I have ever heard. 😂😂😂 I don't mind and I get that it isn't easy just really funny.
I did my best but I want to envite you to make a video about Amsterdam and Schiphol airport and the government in ‘s Gravenhage.
@@MartijnAroundTheWorld When I said "all of these" I meant videos about Gothenburg. I have no doubt that you tried your best and that it is difficult. It's just funny.
@@KerstinMamma it is.. I know ;-)
@@MartijnAroundTheWorld Thanks for doing a video about the city.
Thx! Working on the Stockholm edit at the moment
Let me tell you something, despite a few non attractive Islands outside the cost of Gothenburg which possibly can be seen during two months (July and Aug) and that due to bad weather conditions during the whole year, is there anything else which can be seen? Nothing and nothing. This place is the ugliest place I have ever seen in my life . Ugly buildings and architecture , not any real and fancy place, architecture , buildings. Cheap and direty gray 50-60s buildings which reminds you of mental hospital. Awful and old and unfasssioned shopping mall . My God how come that they don't build something for the the citizen to feel good under that depressing weather condition
0:22 Why didn't you edit this thing out? We are here to see Europeans and not her
What do you mean?
@@MartijnAroundTheWorld the covered thing with a child on the left side, why didn't you cut her out? In Sweden we wanna see Europeans and not her or her kind, beautiful and very informative video , but she uglified everything, thank you Martjin for your efforts to show us the city, next time please be more careful with those people, don't let them appear in your videos.
Then you might not want to travel to Europe or Gothenburg in particular as there are many types of people here with all sorts different backgrounds. Though we don’t like racists, so we’d be happier if you stay wherever you are.
@@marklund36 these people are destroying Europe, after 30years you will be minority in your own country, bravo keep on accepting them.
Levent.. your name comes from Levant. An Arabic/Kurdish/Turkish region. Majority of people living there are Muslims.. ironic :)
