1.5 cups long grain rice
3-4 cups water
1-2 cinnamon sticks
1/4 cup almonds
1 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup condensed milk

@@chains84 on vocabulary yes, there's a good amount of arabic loanwords in spanish but that's about it in terms of language. But in general spanish pronunciation is easy for us arabic-speakers cuz all the sounds exist in arabic (except "p" but its super easy and manageable) and we can roll the "r" without difficulty

I am part Mexican and I make this all the time. And yes you let it soak over night. And I like mine more on the milky side. Not so watered down. 😋

Here in Mexico we barely do the traditional recipe, usually we store buy horchata and mix it with milk, and if you put to much horchata add water
