@@shadowki5687 it's a good question. At The risk of sounding old their was a Calvin and Hobbes comic that involved Calvin making clones of himself to do what he didn't want to do. The problem was they were exactly like him and they didn't want to do that stuff either and just started making more clones to try and push the work off on someone else.

I always understood the law to mean you can't use quirks to inflict harm or intimidate people, not that they were strictly forbidden as long as you didn't use it to commit crimes... orherwise that would be utterly impossible to enforce for some people, especially most mutation quirks.

@@jvstvorothii yeah! They just have the frames or fake lenses. You can also get blue light ones from like target to protect your eyes from screens. There are tons of glasses you can wear even if you don't need them

2:40 I've been thinking about this a lot. In the manga character sheet pages, it says Iida's engines are powered by orange juice and carbonated drinks can make them stall. I think this is just an application of the Krebs cycle and his engines being powered by ATP just like any other body part, so it should be carbon dioxide and a little water coming out of the exhaust pipes

What if he put his arm though someone with permeation and then made it solid again, where would his arm go? Backwards? Forwards? Up/down? Left/right? Would it just be stuck?

That also means that Todoroki wielding ice can be very problematic. If he just goes blizzard mode on Bakugo, he'd have trouble sweating enough to use his quirk. And even if he did sweat, it'd freeze quickly on his body, making him colder. Although it does raise the question : Would Bakugo's frozen sweat still be usable and possessing explosive properties ?

Idk if you’ve said this yet, but how often does bakugou have to change his outfit, or bed sheets, and how do you dispose of that? We know his sweat is explosive, so if even the tiniest spark came in contact with his gym uniform, would it explode? Same with bed sheets and stuff.

I’m pretty sure only his hand sweat is explosive, but still, if he got nitroglycerin from his hands on something, it could blow up and set a huge fire really easily

In the movie some of his sweat was on the ground and todoroke shot fire at it and it exploded also his sweat has to egnite

can Suneater like drink sweat, or any other sort of “secretion” from another person & then use their quirk? Because if he can eat fried chicken but then grow a chicken claw... does that mean he can eat someone’s hair or lick their sweaty arm & then be able to use their quirk?

No, his quirk only gets the characterustics of the animal or object if he is digesting it, hence, sweat can't give him skills, eating hair or nails would do the trick

My dad actually brought the hair thing up. Like say Tamaki eats Yaoyorozu's hair, can't he get her quirk? Or is it like the OFA situation where they have to want to give the power?
Uh... You know that Tamaki's quirk is actually based on THE FOOD that he eats and not the QUIRKS he is able to ingest?
Brief example: Tamaki eats chicken tempura, he grows wings. He eats sum octopus meat, he has tentacle fingers. And it goes on and on and on and on...
Funny tidbit about Iida : his engine canonically and literally runs on orange juice. Well, technically he can run on any liquid Iida ingests, but orange juice is the most effective apparently so he generally goes for that

@@CyberrIsEpik I think his quirk doesn’t work on Mutation quirks but if he activates his quirk on Hawks, I think that it will not remove the wings but maybe he’ll lose the ability to control of the wings for battle.
@@CyberrIsEpik First, I think earserhead's quirk doesn't work on mutant quirks, but even if it did he would need to see someone to use it, and Hagakure is invisable.
If someone’s quirk involves floating and/or flying, what’s to stop them from just. Accidentally going into space and dying. Is there like a specific hero squad to prevent that from happening? Like “yeah we got another one in the stratosphere and rising quickly, dispatching team icarus”

When Koda controls an animal does that animal get his intelligence? Can his pet rabbit do his homework? If no then how did the animals know to flip the switch on the robot (assuming any animal was still there) because there is no way Koda did it himself
Edit: I feel like I need to clarify my other issues with Koda passing, where did he find the animals? Because those are some crazy birds if they stayed in the city while robots were busting through walls and making noise.
The animals can obey simple orders. Flipping a switch is within an animal knowledge because it's affiliated to "stand there, on that spot". Other than that, they cannot obey complex orders.

If healing quirks exist, why do people still wear glasses?
Because A. The only type of healing quirks we've seen thus far specifically enhance the body's natural ability to heal, so if the body is suffering from something it can't heal on its own, such as poor vision, then these quirks can't help. I do believe Horikoshi has outright stated he won't make a quirk that heals like an RPG character, at least not without severe drawbacks, like Eri. Her ability reverts people, so while it could help someone whose vision has gotten worse over the years, it can't fix the underlying issue causing their vision to worsen.
And even if there was magically someone who could heal stuff like bad vision, you head straight into B. These types of quirks are RARE. Recovery Girl seems to be the only person working in UA's medical department, at least with a recovery-based quirk. We've seen MHA's medical field in general closely resemble our own, albeit somewhat more advanced. It's still manned by people whose quirks aren't necessarily build for healing. Even if there are people with healing quirks, their services would be in such high demand that they'd never be able to treat every minor condition in the world.
If someone was born with a weed quirk, would they automatically be put to jail, or be forever hunted by cops and monitoring every action they make

Yeah I wonder if someone had a quirk that makes them involuntarily gives people effects like getting them stoned or piss-drunk. I remember reading a KNY and BHNA crossover where one of the characters quirk was rare blood, which whenever someone smells their blood they get drunk-like symptoms and cops hound him everywhere.
I think it depends. If the user is doing nothing with this quirk or being a hero, the cops will do nothing, but i think that they will keep a eye on him

@@bunniesarecutep2494 Very minor correction. Bakugo's sweat isn't literally nitroglycerin, it's defined as nitroglycerin-like in canon materials.
He can only activate his quirk in his hands because he has special muscles which allow him to trigger the explosions located in his hands.

Not necessarily, but in most cases I think they would. Your question actually reminded me of Tsuyu, who has frog siblings. My problem with that is HER PARENTS ARE ALSO BOTH FROGS. Are they from Alabama? Is a frog mutation one of the first quirks and there's like a clan of frogs already formed? Or is it just so happened that 2 different people with exactly the same quirks there born in the same country, found each other and decided to marry?
That is how genetics work.

@@pablopereyra7126 Yeah, that'd make really good sense. I was asking about sign language because it is basically a language, or a certain dialect of another language, being English if we take ASL. The different signs mean words or actions, more than a nod does. A nod can both mean "yes" or "I understand" or even "you can do that", while I'm sure there are different signs for those things. That's why I thought this would be an interesting question.

actually that is partially what the gauntlets are for, they store his excess sweat when he isnt using his quirk so that he can fire off a massive stockpiled explosion

Technically Mt. Lady could have accelerated healing. Think about it, when she grows she doesn’t float off like a balloon because she has a low density. Her debut showed her kicking a villain in the face and knocking it back. So her gigantification means she has to get the extra mass from somewhere, and it’s most likely some form of accelerated mitosis.
Healing quirks are rare in the whole show we have seen 5. Recovery Girl, Eri, Super Regeneration duplicated by the doctor, The boy and his father from Heroes Rising. Also each of those have limits. Eri can only rewind you to a previous state which means if your eyes where always messed up because you where born that way she couldn't help you. Also she needs to charge up which takes time.
I personally think that the Tenya family found out about their quirk re-growth after a villain captured and tortured one

3:55 Well, in the first movie Bakugo actually sprayed his sweat on a villain and Todoroki ignited it with his fire.
With the tamaki one it’s been shown he can just eat part of an animal to make it’s whole thing as shown with the octopus poison he made so he could probably create entire people on his person whether it was the person he ate or if he could make any person is the interesting thing, like can he make OC’s or just completely change his appearance? I think so.
Since Hagakure is invisible, can she see through her eyelids when her eyes are closed?

Her quirk is light manipulation. She can't turn it off, but that basically just means she's constantly manipulating the light to bend around her,not actual invisibility.
Actually she shouldn’t be able to see at all, since light has to go into your pupils for you to see, and she is invisible, she’d be 100% blind because of her quirk
To be fair the School Festival only became a battle to the death because Bakagou was in it, so it's not like people were watching to it to see kids die. Just horribly injured.
If you see fights like that on the news every you would desensitized to battles to the death as well.
Well, if I recall correctly, it was said that the only reason they put their students through such a tough training is because they have Recovery Girl ready to step in whenever someone gets hurt.

Woahhh. I have no idea... I got other questions regarding him: does Todoroki's left armpit have red hair & his right armpit, white hair? Shouldn't he be half blind since his eyeball got burned? If his dad has a cool fire beard he can turn on & off, will pubescent (going through puberty) Todoroki gain baby fires on his chin that he can turn on and off?? Like, will he later on have a fire beard on one side and an ice beard on the other, with dripping water in the middle bc the ice will melt?

but I can clarify on why he's eye is still working: those aren't burn scars. They are ice burns. After the hot water hit him, Rei overcooled his face down and cause ice burn in the era she applied her quirk to. And she didn't aplly her quirk to his eye. Ice burns just leave similar marks as fire burns.

@@spaghetto9836 You can actually get some amount of boiling water in your eye without loosing sight. But eyes also close on reflex when something gets near your face so most likely he shut his eye before the most part of the water hit. And while boiling water would burn the eyelid, it would not cause lasting damage to the eye underneath.

@@kirstybaatjes5024 If it were me with that quirk, I’d probably charge significantly less than an eye surgeon for 2 reasons: 1) There’s no cost on my end and 2) If my procedure is way cheaper, I think people would be far more likely to pay me, so I might actually earn more money
My favorite character is Iida, and a unique way for him to use his quirk is to run so fast that he can run on water.

The glasses thing could either be a fashion thing, or a patient autonomy thing. Like I could save up for laser surgery, but that idea scares me, so I’d rather just have two pieces of glass suspended in front of my face. And also, some people (fictional or otherwise) just look hot with glasses on (like Simon from Etrian Odyssey Untold)
It's been stated that when Mirio deactivates his quirk, he gets repelled since mass can't overlap. But, if it's something small like a rock, it'd make sense that the smaller object would be affected by the knockback instead of Mirio. If that's the case, he could have a cylinder around his arm that he could load stuff into, probably attached at the shoulder as well with some sort of brace to prop against the ground. Then he could just turn his arm intangible, and when it becomes tangible again, the items inside would be shot out like some kind of railgun.

Maybe but what about cases where he got stuck in a wood board while training, his arm didn't launch the board but it left scars so honestly the logic to his quirk is inconsistent

That is because when he deactivated his quirk while still inside the board,
the board got restricted by the rest of his body so it couldn't go anywhere.
That's just my take on an explaination tho.
@@joda7697 yeah honestly I love Mirio but his quirk honestly does not make a lot of sense, he can rest his face in a wall too without scaring his face, and of course i feel realistically he might just die if he became solid in the ground.. but i can accept the ejection thing, though in say DnD if you leave the ethereal plane in a wall you take force damage while still being ejected, but quirks tend to break physics anyway so I accept it... i just question it when I think about it for even a minute.

I am taking quantum mechanics at the moment (University physics course) and honestly,
the excuses MHA comes up with for stuff like "matter can not overlap so it ejects him upward" are pretty solid.
The only big flaw in the logic is that he remains visible while phasing, instead of light phasing through him as well.
Also logically as well as in the show, the ejection thing only ejects him upwards,
or rather, against the force he feels even when phased out, which is gravity.
