1994_12_26 NS at Cargill CNW Short Line Yard & Jct Des Moines IA

NS has EMD 741, a GP38-2, for power as they finish some switching at Cargill in Des Moines. Next we go over to the foot bridge across Short Line Yard. Noted in the yard are some 86 foot auto box cars, Iowa Traction and Maryland & Pennsylvania box cars and the "piggy packer" with Santa and a Christmas tree. At Short Line Junction a Dash 8 and a Dash 9 go north and a yard job pulls west across the diamond with an SD18.
