fun fact reneé and sabrina are actually close friends! they were both in mean girls the musical together (sabrina very briefly), but reneé had a pretty long run. i saw her play regina in 2019 ish maybe and she fully carried. i was a mean girls musical stan back then and found her on tiktok when she first got cast. i’ve been a proud fan since then and i’m so freaking excited that she’s getting recognized

I see ‘willow’ to be about a weeping willow tree. Basically the whole song is just a big metaphor, telling the weeping willow not to cry cause she’ll cry for it. It’s also why she says “to lay underneath you [the tree]” and flowers etc.
