I was surprised to meet Black Chinese working at an Amusement Park in ShenZhen (special economic zone) of China. Called Windows of the World. Dark like me with woolley hair!! They did speak English, Mandarin & their own tribal language. They approached me because I had braids & they did not know how to braid or twist their own hair. 2 males & 1 female about 25-28 yrs old. I had a water bottle and Queen Helene coco butter lotion in my travel bag. Sat each one down individually and braided two and twisted the female's hair. Gorgeous, healthy full heads of hair about shoulder length. I taught the lady how to braid on the spot in 15 mins. A wonderful experience for them, but an eye opening humble experience for ME!! Just friendly, informative and brotherly love all around!! This was amazing!!

I had the opportunity to meet both Kurds and other populations located in the Northern part of the country. Though I don't totally understand the way the women are treated in their society/culture, I found most of those living in the area to be friendly towards myself and other blacks.
