I like how they're throwing in some new stuff while still keeping the original aesthetic. Even those first few crates are a polite nod to Sphynxinator! Can't wait to play the whole thing!

Guys, it's the hardest version of the Future themed levels. Just like how Stormy Ascent was the really hard version of Slippery Climb. Crash levels have "themes" and there's usually an easy version of that theme and then one or two more versions of it that are harder that come latr in the game. This is the hardest version of the Future levels. It's a completely new level, I don't know what you guys are talking about.
... You guys need to play through Warped again, I swear. It might use the familiar Future theme, but it _is_ an entirely new level.

I'd love to see Crash Bandicoot Wrath of Cortex modded with N Sane trilogys mechanics
Lets be honest people, one of the first things that's gonna happen to this game on the PC version is that modders are gonna mod Crash and Coco's collision meshes to make it like the original Crash games thus making jumping / platforming significantly easier.
and thats a bad thing why?...people already have had issues with jumping and collision so modder (for free remember) helping fix that is a welcome upcoming

You know, I was actually waiting for some lost levels of the 1rst CB game to appear in this free "dlc".
In case you didn't know it, Stormy Ascent was removed from the 1rst game simply because it was too hard. There were also some levels (3 or 4) that were supposed to appear in the game, but they didn't because they weren't finished, thus making them "lost" levels.
Also, on Warped it was originally planned to crash to have 6 powers ups instead of 5. Don't ask me what was that 6th power up because on one knows it, not even Naughtydog and Activision

like the conveyor belts that push you off the edge of the level, that elevator that turns to an adjacent side of the building, enemies you can only see in the reflection of the mirrors, the rotating platforms from the cut waterfall level of crash 2
this'll be a fun level
I hope they provide achievements for this just like they did for story ascent

also this level's difficulty (if thats what they are going for) is greatly lowered with the Fruit-zooka power up/ability
EDIT: rewatching the video i see there's NO abilities used here (double jump/death tornado spin) if this early footage ok fine
BUT...either IGN didnt use the abilities on purpose OR..for some reason this level limits you to default crash
if its the latter thats a REAL LAZY way to make a level "tough"
Stormy Ascent was tough because you had nothing..in crash 3 though you have 5 extra powerups/abilities to use

This definently looks like a Crash level. A pretty good level too. I guess it goes to show that Vicarious Visions are capable of making original Crash levels, maybe possibly for a new game. (After the CTR remake, maybe??)

That makes no sense, there are now 3 future levels, fact is it's a newly construct level that would have fit into the level select any way so shut up!
Let me help you with that one: it's not "almost the same", it holds the same theme, or rather shares the same world as "Future Frenzy" and "Gone Tomorrow". As I'm sure you know, it's not the only world which shared several levels. I guess that wasn't a problem back then was it. So quit weeping and enjoy the fact that we're going to get a brand new Crash level.

I wonder how much percentage Crash 3 will be increased by though, most likely 3%. If Stormy Ascent took Crash 1 to 104% from 102% by getting 1 gem and 1 relic, I’m assuming by the 2 gems and 1 relic the percentage counter will be increased to 108% from 105%. 3 things to collect, 3% for the counter.
I could swear that Relics are worth 2%

Yeah, happened to me. Best way to avoid it is to keep your hands off Stormy Ascent before the Dr. Cortex boss fight, as far as I've heard.

It's a new level with the same visual style and stage gimmicks of Future Frenzy and Gone Tomorrow.
So while the level THEME may not be new, the level itself is.

It is the full game. This is just a special warp room separate from the game.

And all my friends thought I wasted $40 on the N Sane Trilogy. They were wrong because I know for a fact that the originals did not have time trial missions in Crash 1 and 2, Stormy Ascent, and this new DLC level. It would of been nice if we got more DLC levels, but well just have to wait and see

Crash Twinsanity was a weird mess, didn't feel like a Crash Bandicoot game at all.
I hope there's a remake, that game was awesome.
Twinsanity was meh imo. Had some good humor but the game has a bunch of glitches and was pretty short. I'd rather have a CTR remake or a new Crash game game.

It's has the same theme as Future Frenzy and Gone Tomorrow (which were already in the game) but this is a new level.

All the levels from the original trilogy are in the base game. Stormy Ascent was a level which was cut from the original game at the last second - it was still present on the disc but not accessible through normal gameplay. Future Tense is an entirely new level.

Well after 20 years, it doesn't seem like the designer tried very hard to make something interesting. It almost seems like a level cut by a project lead in 1998 for being too superfluous.
