Pro Tip: Pop up the weather forecast before riding to see the wind direction and speed. Avoid routes with strong headwinds as this significantly decreases your battery, if unavoidable dont use full throttle. On the other hand, make use of tailwinds as this can give you 5-10kms of extra speed. Tested this with my Apollo Ghost and my speed with the tailwind goes 63-65kph at gear 3
Question - how does using the break affect your range negatively when it's supposed to be regenerative? All this time I thought I was charging my battery when ever I braked. I ride the City Scooter. Can you clarify?
Regarding not fully charging to preserve battery life. Doesn't the cell balancing only take affect when nearing or at 100%. Never balance charging could also degrade the pack life.
Guys, just come out with a scooter that can actually go 150km - 200km and we'll be good :) Never mind speed, you can only go 25km/h in Ontario, anyway! My tip for range is to make sure your brakes are not dragging and that the wheels spin without any resistance.

Excellent info! 🤙🏻😎
How about tips on wet weather usage.... The bane of all Escooter owners.

I assume they mean that it will regenerate more battery if you slowly brake instead of instantly on the fly braking
Proper lubrication + proper maintenance.......

Bonus! Same city as me as well!
Good tips, but when will the new Apollo city be unveiled?! 😀
Do any tips used by automotive hypermilers work for e-scooters? I'm thinking pulse-and-glide in particular.

You forgot SPEED. The higher the speed the bigger the drain. Just like going full speed on a pedal bike. Imagine the drain on your legs !
What make and model air pump are you using at the 54 second mark
