Your post commentary on the Shroobs reminded me of the Ultra Beasts from the Alola games, (Sun, Moon and their Ultra Counterparts).
I'll talk on more if you're(or anyone else is) interested,(I remember one of your comments on the series so I'll try to make it consise), but to make a long story short, the idea inspirations of the Ultra Beasts being based around invasive species or things when the region is based on Hawaii, some of the individual inspirations, shared Beast Boost ability, and some of the individual lore about them makes them threatening, if not terrifying for some, but they are also kinda fun, goofy, and one pair is even meant to be more approachable. Part of this is about the fact you can catch them and befriend them, but I also think it might speak something about Alola, but that's something else.
If I could relate to something you said on Fawful, it would be "darkness" in media aka the assumption the more dark something is, the better it is. Madou is a huge example of what I am talking about, but if I could put it into other words, it would be that the dark elements of a work are a part of the work, and the best works usually play the darkness in a way with the rest of the work such as contrast to make it hit even more or letting it play out on its own without the need to shove it in your face.

The Princesses Shroob are fascinating to me, BECAUSE they really do take Nintendo's whole "Princesses good!" thing and completely subvert it. Plus, the damage they do is so bad it takes literal time travel to fix it. I generally love Partners in Time, argh.
Speaking of that idea that do you think of design for Wapeach?(I know she was never stated to be a princess, but I wouldn't be surprised if she was made one)
I felt kinda isolated from the fandom who outright loved the design and honestly, while further development on a Wapeach concept could be fun, I feel the idea would have to be separated from Wario and Waluigi to avoid rejection

Amazing to see another person taking interest in the Shroobs. I find them interesting because the whole reason they're invading is because their planet is dying and so they do whatever is necessary to make a new home. This theme is highly shown in the final boss fight. The sad, creepy music that plays in the background. The shroobs using kamikaze tactics, sacrifiing themselves for the better of their civilisation like bees for a colony. That final fight would be the deciding factor of which species survives and which goes extinct. The game even reminds you what you're fighting for as elder princess shroob heals herself by drinking vim, that substance produced by the drained toads. I also find it interesting how Elder Princess Shroob just doesn't care for her people nor seemingly for their race's survival. She only cares to destroy, a common theme shown by the shroobs but taken to the extreme with her. She kills her own kind and uses them for attacks thoguh not against their will. The shroobs are so desperate they willingly volounter for most of these attacks.
You bring up some good points there~ Some I've heard before. Some not.

You saying that Paper Jam is your favourite Mario RPG of all time is a pretty big bomb shell because that's the one everyone would say is the worst Mario RPG (if Paper Mario Sticker Star and Color Splash are out the equation) so maybe if your Mario & Luigi kick lasts a bit longer than expected you can make a video about what makes you like it so much.

I didn't say it was my favorite of all time.
And people who hate on Paper Jam, by and large, not all of them, are just annoyed it's generic Mario-themed or the state of Paper Mario at the time.
Mechanically it's great. I like the story a lot too.
