Its always a good day when you release a new battle report, it's great how share your tactics and reasoning. I especially enjoy watching dwarves in action, they are a bit of an underdog, and who doesnt love an underdog!

i really dont understand, why Dwarves are underdogs for everyone. I play them with quite good results in our local group and my friend regularly wins a lot of games on tournaments with Dwarves. Their only downside is their lower mobility. But as there is no turn limit in this game, it doesnt matter so much.
Did you roll any courage tests to charge Durin? He causes terror :)
Absolutely love the dwarves but I almost never see them win on this channel or others! Every army has its strengths and ways to win but I can’t help but feel that the majority of MESBG scenarios, and also round limiting, favours proactive traits, not defence. So movement, hitting power and numbers are gunna be really important for objectives and points. You know, I’d love to see some win/loss stats from the various armies features on the channel?! There must be a lot of data by now :)
dwarves fight uphill for sure, power level wise. They suffer HARD from speed, numbers and cheaply available magic.
Really wierd batrep to watch cause i run a almost identical Khazad dum list in tourneys and never do this badly lol They didn't mention it in the batrep but Durin has terror and can once per game reroll a priority roll. Not resisting that transfix on Durin lost the Khazad dum player the game i think espically considering Durin never used any of his will.
Thanks for the comments, not resisting the transfix was a tough one. Ultimately I totally understand the decision. During wasn't at any threat and all it would do is slow him down. Assuming that the Witch King would be alive for several more turns there could be times where Durin could be threatened and it would be much more important to have the Will.
After seeing the Witch King go down the will no longer matters but at the time he didn't know that would happen

Amazing battle report as always! For next time care that Heroes of Legends pass automatically the stand fast only on the first turn their army is broken

I had a game like this last year, my gundabad v Ents in capture and control. I had all the objectives but the game went on for 11 rolls to end! It finally did when all I had left to face treebeard and beechbone, was a gundabad troll on 1w

Longtime 40k player here, just picked up the Osgilath set and am loving it so far! Thanks the reports. Can see what I'm doing right/wrong. Any thoughts on how to expand these two Minas Tiras/Mordor armies?
Thanks for the comment. They are a great start to both armies. For Mordor I would start with the Mordor Command pack. This gives you some important units that will be helpful. After that I would add in whatever evil stuff looks the coolest to you. I would go for some Morgul Knights or a Great Beast of Gorgoroth.
For the Gondor side you have a lot of options. The main thing is that the army in the box has a lot of archers so you don't need to add any more. I would go for some knights of Minas Tirith and some of the elite troops such as Guards of the Fountain court. Then I would choose either Aragorn, King Ellesar or Borromir, Captian of the white tower to be your army leader. You can also never go wrong with more warriors of Minas Tirith

What a game indeed! My experience is that when you need the game to end you have to wait way too long to see a 1 or 2 at the end of the turn :p. Great job both!
Nice paint job on both armies. The Khazad guard are some of the coolest models out there imo! Shame the axes are so prone to breaking though 😂

Thanks for the comment! I am a big fan of my Corsairs, they have taken ages to paint up hahaha. He did we just didn't catch all the dice rolls in the move face. There wasn't a time where they did anything significant

In the end Durin had the re-roll right to wound Dalamyr (because of Durins axe).
@8:34 shieldbearer should have shielded, he can't make strikes anyway because of compel so there is no downside to shielding
I dont understand what he was thinking. maybe he thought hes dead no matter what.

I don't think you can make a special strike if you are transfixed

Where is the best place to find figurines like these? Are there any places that might have them pre painted and put together?
All of these miniatures are from Warhammer (www.warhammer.com/home). To find pre-painted miniatures the second hand market is huge and you can look in Facebook buy/sell/swap pages
Great game! I think the Shieldbearer should have shielded. With same fight value and 4 dice he might have survived the witch king!

Random question but is a Mordor troll ever worth it? Seems like it’s a lot of points and excessively large base. I feel like if they made them independent hero’s with 1 might 1 will 1 fate it would be a bit more balanced.
I have an upcoming battle report that had a troll and a troll chieftain. I think the troll chieftain is a really strong unit and is much better than the regular troll.
That being said a regular troll with a drum can improve the speed of the whole army even if you have a mix of Black Numnorians, mordor uruk hai, and warg riders.
If you are playing magic heavy Mordor the troll can also be really powerful. If you take away heroes heroic strikes with transfix then the fight 7 can be invaluable
@@ConquestCreations Ah drums! Yes I was thinking trolls basically need to be part of a combo, to make sure they get to wound. Either a small hero (or chieftain might), magic user or bat swarm. Love the model so I look forward to seeing what happens in the BR! Thanks.

Durins crown should really be a 5+ save not 6.
or he should not have that at all for being a decent bit less pricey.
I certainly wouldn't be opposed to this, the 6 is so hard to get off and I want him to be a true tank
I've never seen corsairs in a battle.
They are a relatively popular faction and have performed really well in tournaments. They have super low defence but a lot of hitting power and technical pieces
@@ConquestCreations I might start using corsairs, I like throwing weapons.
in all my games facing dwarfs. they dont win often. i feel the higher defence isnt worth the movement loss.
