- In this game we have 400 points of Mordor lead by the Witch King going up against 400 points of Easterlings lead by Khamul the Easterling. Its a magic heavy game. Lets see who comes out on top!

Quick question about the placement of the fellbeast. Obviously both players agreed to this, but from a rule standpoint, if the model is tipped like that, or base doesn't fit with the stairs/terrain etc, shouldn't it not be able to fit there?
I ask because I had a game once with those plastic tree sets from GW, and the Balrog couldn't get into base contact because of the trees, and the ruling was that it couldn't tilt/lean/edge it's way in, it had to fit.
Question on why khamul didnt do his will trick to go to fight 6?
That was my thought as well especially at ~11:00

Jacob - these are the best MeSBG batreps on CZcams afaik - or at least for this concise style, which I really like for not having to spend half as long. I do enjoy the longer ones on other channels do but they are more about personalities and silliness and casual fun whereas yours are about concise strategy and tactics, and the narrative you add is great for following it.
On this one I was thinking it would be useful to have had a couple of overlay things at various points -- I'm not a fan of constant overlays but something that faded in which tracked will of the casters, might on the board, would have been useful (and not too hard to edit in). If you want to go for next level production quality, then an additional thing would be a track of models alive/casualties and a bit of an overheard shot of the board, like a birds-eye view. That would make it easier to see board control, especially for an objective game like this with flanking. Could do an overhead shot or photo end of each turn and then add on circles with arrows for key movements/objectives and battle lines. The effect Battlecamper uses of spotlighting key models could work there as well. That's more effort to add and you're already putting in work so not needed, but thought I would mention for the next level -- perhaps for the next knockout batrep tournie you do.

The two factions with the two wraiths that I have in an army theory idea are fighting each other. Khamul on Fell Beast(using 4th age 3D printing proxy) leading orcs&maybe wargs but I will let those go for a legal list if necessary or for a Black Numernor or 2 proxied by 4th age, Witch King leading orc infantry, Amdur leading black dragons proxied by 4th Age mini's, and Brogir leading Easterling warriors and a Cataract with drums for the extra speed. I think the army builder I used is an older edition at 3.6.1 or something like that.
This comment is basically saying that you should definitely check out 4th Age 3D printing as it is really good for an affordable army

Mordor 1000 points army list:
Warband 1 (leader)
Gothmog with shield and warg: 150 points
Orc shaman with warg: 60 pt.
30 Morannon orcs with shields and spears: 240 pt.
Warband 2
Gorbag with shield: 50 pt.
Mordor Troll: 100 pt.
10 Morannon orcs with spears and shields: 90 pt.
24 Orc Trackers: 120 pt.
Warband 3
Orc Captain with warg and shield: 55 pt.
Warg rider with Banner: 37 pt.
7 warg riders with shield: 91 pt.
Grand Total: 993 points.
You've messed up warband slots! I would recommend watching a guide about that, or just reading the rulebook again
How did you do that fell beast conversion? Or is it a 3D print?
I think I answered my own question--
It looks like "Gargaroth with mounted Khadros" from Orzol Studio, with parts from the plastic Winged Nazgul kit.
at 5:56 are you rolling to wound and then doing a monstrous attack? Isn't that one or the other when using monstrous?

The brutal power attack was hurl, this throws the model though other models. The rolls to wound were from that rather than just from the fell beast rolling normally.
why wasn't khamul raising his FV with his will ?
I'm assuming they forgot you could, this would have helped out massively on at least 2 occasions
Isn't the Easterling Captain's 2-Handed weapon an elven blade? So wouldn't he win on 3,4,5,6 and you rolled a 3? I don't have the latest rules so maybe it has changed in more recent updates?
You might be thinking of Amdur, the easterling hero
@@francescogulisano2917 I don't have the current rules, but in the old rules Easterling Captains could get a falchion which was an elven blade.

What does he mean "sixes by fours"? What makes him have to roll twice to wound?
It means he needs a 6+ followed by a 4+ to wound. It happens when the strength is really low in comparison to the defence.
@@matthewscott6543 So he needs a 6+ to hit, then a 4+ to wound? It just seems like it only gets mentioned in special circumstances. I never hear it when an orc or something has to roll 5+ to hit then 6+ to wound.
@@johnnycaralta No they're both wound rolls. So assume you've got a strength 2 bow, you've hit the enemy. Then if the target is defence 6, you would need a 6+ to wound. However, if the target was defence 7, then you would need a 6+, followed by a 4+ to wound. If the target was defence, 9 it would be a 6+ followed by a 6+ to wound, and it was defence 10 then its impossible to wound.
It's the games way of making higher defence models last longer, while also giving that outside chance a lucky shot can wound (rather than in something like 40k where it caps at a 6+ no matter how much tougher the target is vs the strength)

@@johnnycaralta I believe its in the wound chart yes - I think it's shown as 6+/4+ for example.
Don't worry, I'm returning to the hobby after 10-15 years out - and the current form of mesbg is different than what I last played! I'm still trying to get my head around the tactics behind all the new heroic actions and such you can now do!
Why didn’t khamul resist for his fell beast against the black dart? If I remember correctly they count as one model when it comes to magic, no?
If it can specifically target the mount then the hero on top can't resist. It's why a few named mounts have their own will (shadowfax, the white warg)
Interesting, could i do this spell to a horse without randomise? And not only on monsters?

You need more mercinary goblins. I would recommend dropping the a captain and maxing out some warbands, or the mercinaries will die quite fast
@@lutzeichmeyer9338 my lists have change quite alot since then. I find you don't need to many Mercs, if you have to many in a warband it stops you from spawning them on small terrain and heavy limits where they can spawn. I find Mercs in general are mostly good just to deal with strong range or flank a army and slow them down for the rest of your goblins to come since they move so slow.
@@lutzeichmeyer9338 goblins in general die extremely quick. If you have 100 goblins your gonna expect at least 35-45 to die on your winning games even.
You guys forgit to resolve Khamul's heroic. As long as the model he huris dies it would've gone off.
Thanks for the comment, this might have been a little bit unclear. His heroic was actually the combat before the hurl. He killed his first opponent then charged into another orc which he went on the hurl
