Nice bro! I love my M70 AK, runs like a champ. Both are plenty accurate as testament to their decades of real world use and efficacy, the whole debate is kinda silly lol, definitely comes down to user preference.
I've been running AKs since 2002, back then it was because I was 18, and wanted to shoot a lot, on the cheap. Then I got so many rounds through it that the AK became my preferred platform. I've got ARs, and I love them, and I'm proficient with them. I just have more fun with AKs. Part of the fun with AKs is tuning them. Between the muzzle device, the return spring, etc, you can adjust the AK more than people think.
I don't feel underequipped with either. I've used both as a hiking gun. My main thing is run it and know it works, and make sure your zero is good. Also this content is 🔥🔥🔥🔥

The AK is plenty accurate... There's a guy with a Russian accent with a CZcams platform called AK operator (like he's part of your local union) he has effectively hit targets well past expected AK range by scoping his.... It ain't cheating if it accurately drops the targets 😂
for the light primer strikes in the AR. I've had a lot of problems with after market triggers not having full power hammer springs in them. they work great until the rifle gets dirty then I had the same issue. if you have a cheaper trigger in it that could be the issue.
Is it a mil spec trigger or does he have a lighter spring in it?Definitely an easy explanation for it. Regardless if shit ever does hit the fan most people will switch to a mil spec weight spring so it will eat anything you put in it.Till then the mil spec weight triggers are abysmal.
If he has a non-Milspec trigger and is using hard primers (like is found in a lot of surplus ammunition), it could be that he needs a stronger trigger spring. Could also be the firing pin. Just a couple things to check.
It is a fact that you will be able to achieve better accuracy out of an LPVO than you would out of a red dot. All thing being the same, the mere fact of magnification will improve accuracy for pretty much anyone.
I’d keep shooting, check the breech like someone earlier mentioned. Hell just might need some lube or cleaning. More in-depth check hammer spring tension and firing pin extrusion. All that’s good. Just might be a bad bay of ammo. I think that covers all the culprits I’ve ran into, with that failure.

The AR is good it's just more detrimental on ammo type and barrel length On the AR run an 18 inch Hanson 223wylde, 77gr shells, decent 3 port brake, lightweight carrier with reduced power buffer spring and a carbine buffer, and for the love of God get rid of that ufckin trigger he has on that thing. Get the guns more purpose driven type of rigged up then compare, imo

One tip to make the ak safety extremely easy to operate. Bend the safety lever slightly and it becomes butter smooth to operate

He probably put his hammer spring in upside down I did that once and it resulted in multiple light primer strikes

the thing is, 556 takes a shit if there's any wind. so in the end, they're both 400m rounds at best. if you can group 2 inches, you're good.
