Can you do a video of removing the curtain airbags and replacing them under the liner? Also do you know if my Subaru xv crosstrek has a flexible liner?

Yes. Usually they’re bolted in with 10mm. Yes it’s flexible just be careful

I'm trying to comprehend how there's no damage to the headliner. I've never been able to get away with not pulling the pillar trim.

Flexible headliner. Some are rigid and can not be done this way

Use extreme caution, not as easy as it looks, those headliners are very easy to crack , and buying a new headliner definitely takes the profit out.
