Trust me guys ... I tried this today without adding honey and it was really superb.. really tasted better than those storebought chywanprash. Just try to add more jaggery instead of honey and you will be good to go. And one more thing I liked about this recipe was that all the materials was already there in my home ( just bought amla and jaggery from outside which was really very cheap)

mam all is good but as per Ayurveda we should not cook the honey while preparing anything as it becomes very toxics for health,,,,.....rest all is ok. so we can mix honey after making the chyawanprash and afterwards when its medium warm we can mix the honey...

I think you should not add honey while preparing one should add it later on after mixture all cools down a little. Heating honey is prohibited in ayurveda I read somewhere.
Honey shall be added at last and be mixed when everything in the pot is cold else honey will show negative effects. Honey, if pure, can be consumed after 1000years.

Madam Shyamli, Chavanprash bahut achha banaya hai. Sugar nahin dala hai vo bat bahut achhi lagi. Sugar ke badle Jaggery aur khajur jyadatar healthy hain. Garam masale , ghee aur honey ka bhi use hua hai Overall chavanprash ki badiya receipi bataye hai aapne.
