What a great decision to not have a musical soundtrack and let the engine provide the soundtrack for the entire video. Absolutely fantastic!
LOL I think I'd prefer to hear an ACTUAL singer over this racket.....
Love this little thing.
Mumbo Jumbo oh god, a minecraft youtuber... Nuff said
Props to the cameramen, director, and editor. That is a gorgeous film.
EXACTLY! While all of it is very appreciable, it almost feels like that some cars are being made to be museum pieces than cars deserving to be driven anytime you wish.
Loved the video as usual!
I'm enjoying these videos immensely. Thank you Drive Tribe, and Jethro!
I wish this channel keeps on growing and growing, you guys have amazing talent, content and so much potential that you can make people fall in love with cars. Thank you!
this chanel is the best thing ever
Tudor Ionut Channel. Chanel is a fashion house.
Was*
One of the only channels where i hit the like button before the video even begins
Love the skinny look, and original wheels. And that sound! :D
I was lucky to come to Worskhop 5001 and got little tour from owner. It is really nice shop. You can feel quality as soon as you enter in. Shop is organized and extremely clean. One thing I got that 5001 builds Porsche for quality, real stuff and not just for looks. Most of us may not be able to afford it, but it's so far best repair facility I have seen.
I salute you guys. Thanks
Thumbs up for the Dachshund @ 0:15
Excellent heel and toe there Jethro!
quality content, such a fan here
The 73 for me seems when the 911 really came into it's own. It's the best expression of this car. Before was still growing and everything after was well, just a little too much but 1973 was the fully fleshed out, completely mature Porsche 911. The best 70's car there is.
Excellent! The early 911s are the most beautiful cars ever made in my opinion.
What a beautiful iteration of the 911, and I love that you used steel rims as well, DRIVETRIBE. Excellent! :-)
Man, you have the best job in the world
Still waiting for your 996 video.
This video made my day. Thank you !!
Guys this is the best Porsche ever! I love it! Amazing job juys!!!! Bravo!!!!!
absolutely stunning.
Nice work! Looks great underneath you can see some excellent engineering down there.
Why can't a manufacturer today build a car like this for $30,000?
Cause replica companies will go outta business :P
Many reasons. Emissions kills the air-cooled, pedestrian and passenger safety kills the beauty and lightweighting, and customers demand reliability meaning development costs which would ruin the budget price tag. Closest things to what you're asking for new are Miatas and GT-86s, but there are plenty of affordable used cars that should also come close.
Realistically, no.
They easily could, if only they werent limited by safety and emissions laws...
you can diy and avoid allot of the requirements.
Those wheels with 300 hp... interesting...!
you mean those tires...i can live with the wheels.
Paddy McQueen Thats what makes it fun :)
yup for sure tyres
+MDS Racing sure
It's funny. I've heard people use the term "wheel" to mean either the tire or the rim. It seems like it should only mean one of them, but whatever, you can't control how people use words.
I absolutely love this 911. Wow..
Great pictures , also! Wow...
they should start re-inventing 928's and 944's also, and would love a 968 project
Wow! Nice driving! Great Shift work. 915 can be a bit of work. Really fun video! Franny
Simply beautiful.
LOL in what sense of the word????
I prefer these over singer but they are expensive and this is a beautiful shop
Love your Chanel mate keep up the great vids and hope you make it big 👍
drivetribe was founded by clarkson may and hammond so every chance it will be big.
Michael Billings Jethro is already big in the automotive journalist world. One of the best along with Catchpole and Sutcliffe
Channel. Chanel is a fashion house.
Who give a fuck mate have you got nothing better to do the pick up on my poor spelling
Michael Billings I literally copied and pasted some else's comment that they made to someone else who made the same mistake as u lmao
no, it's all about drifting below the snow, prouder.
Unfassbar schöner Porsche!!!! Nahezu perfekt!!!
If the Singer 911 is considered over-the-top, and the next best step is this, then guess what? A few years down the road, journalists and consumers will progress the next step of "less modified" stage. This whole chase of creating an old-feeling 911, without being an old 911, will inevitably just end up where people are restoring 911's as a standard. The journalists will be raving about those when that comes (and consider this car's level of modification as "too much" as they refer to Singer cars now). Mark my words.
Andrew Nguyen im a purist....ill stick to my
orginal numbers matching 911t and embrace the purity............
Workshop 5001 looks like Muscle Shoals!
Quality content as always. Thank u drive tribe!!
Needs yellow or dark tinted headlights to seperate them from that beautiful nardo grey. Great vid
Yellow for sure, and a set of era correct Fuchs.
300 hp, and 2281 lb. More powerful and lighter than my MX-5! I want one of these.
Exactly why I love my series one Datsun Z mildly modded mildly up graded. No V8 .Just a great great modern old fashion drive.
Great video, you explained exact what the 500plus horsepower guys of today builders do not under stand , driving" not ,drag racing.,
Its a lost ART.
Also check out 'The RSR Project' out of New York. Very nice 911 RSR recreations!
Thoroughly enjoyed this review. Cheers.
Oh man this is nice looking! The video and the car!
Have Jethro's giggles been edited out? ;D
lovely
Love this car. My only gripe is that I wish they had painted the rims the same colour as the headlight trim
911s keep evolving and the old ones keep getting better when nanny controls are taking the fun out of equation in modern ones.
Porsche... There’s No Substitute!
Love all your videos...especially the one with your 996. Did you ever give it to workshop 5001?
Excellent video, and with a car like that and those roads, I could loose my license real quick!
Love it !!!
Great vid, great car
Awesome.
coolest 9II !
Can I have a job?? I'll do anything to be around theses cars👍👍👍
have a go on the latest RUF 964
It's perfect
God I love that
So the client invests over $250k into an old 911, and Drivetribe gushes, "it's really something special".
Ignore the dialogue and enjoy the great cinematography.
Beautiful thing this car.
this guy is a real petrolhead
Great video obviously but I don't know, I'm not sold on the car. I respect the craftsmanship, it looks cool but honestly, I prefer what Singer is doing.
ianiva
Singer is the ultimate Porsche 911, they use all the best that the human race can provide for the model. This is something completely different, you can beat the shit out of it with zero remorse.
I'm not sure about that. It's a $400,000 car. I think it's just a different take on restoring a Porsche.
Wow, $400k... Yeah, I was hoping it would be less than the Singer price point, since it's more of a tuned, restored classic, vs Singer's approach. Not that it matters for me...even if it was a 1/4 the cost of a Singer, it'd still be out of my range. I can still appreciate the $#!# out of it though! Good stuff!
Wow!!!
this channel needs more sub!!
did u see the dog
Thumbs up Jethro for another great vid!!! :-) and for finally learning how to pronounce PORSCHE word :D ;-)
So are they as expensive as the Singer ones?
How much would this car cost? Also what is the original bhp of this?
i like
lucky man
Did you match your shirt to the interior on purpose?
What road in California where you on?
They also have a new customer, soon as come up with 500k
Where is this road!!!?
what's the deal with those wheel bolts?!! They remind me of a 1985 Skoda. Not to mention the steel wheels...
Such a sexy car
Shots fired at Singer? "This car hasn't materialized" "Over-restoration"
Mo-hammad Abunaser A difference in philosophy I guess. Despite my tremendous admiration for what Singer does, it is very much a group of people's own idea of what a super-911 should be. I can understand why someone would prefer something simpler and, perhaps more importantly, closer to what 911s were in the first place.
What I'd be interested to know is the price difference, though.
the Singer ashtray sized fuel filler cap made out of Alloy on a carbon fibre bodied car is where art overtakes engineering
No comparison. Singer excels. A different vision.
What would they say if you ask them 'What do you think about RWB?' :)
where was this filmed? I want to run the road..................
Where is this road located?
Not loving the space saver spare wheels if I'm honest...
Plea....se edit the engine sound....this is 2017, not
Clark Gable driving with the "special effects" from those days
Whats wrong with the car guys ffs?!?!?! Every other enthusiast makes some 911 projects and hopes to make bussines out of it!! Please just stop!! Right now Singer makes them the best so leave them alone and focus on other cars and models!!! Like why does nobody make Audi Quattro projects or idk old M cars projects or... just something other than a 911!! I mean I love the 911 and if I could I want to have one but give other legends some appreciation!!!
Here's one car rappers wont ruin :)
How do companies like Singer, WS 5001, etc gets to build 911s like these? Do they buy the rights from Porsche? The badges, where are they from?
Sang Eeth they aren't new cars. They buy old 911s and restore them
Oh I didn't actually think that. I mean, Singer build 911s from the ground up right?
Sang Eeth It is stated within the first minute of the video. Put on your listening ears before asking stupid questions.
Sang Eeth no they use 964s
05:58 what's the utility of this foot move? never seen that :)
Yeah, it was nice to see that get edited in! That's called a heel-toe. It's a classic (manual transmission) racing skill that allows the driver to brake, downshift, and blip the throttle to match revs all at the same time.
That's what I thought, I'll try it tonight :D
how did it go? dont blow the engine
Anthony no no 😂 but it need practice :)
5:11
sounds a bit ...wooly? might be the mic.
please lock the door
Another great video, but the steel wheels have to go. I think they ruin the look of the car
John V Bizarre, I think they complete it.
I thing they're going for the no frills, industrial look.
Thankfully, none of these 3 old wannabe comedians reviewed the car!
1mill
can I have a 997 singer please.
i rally hate this vlog format that dominates the car reviews in the last years
Nice car but not even close to a Singer. It’s a nice restored and hot rod-ish 911.
Two wing mirrors. Pfft. Very not pukka! ;)
How much? $$$
That road gives me a chubby.
WHy do you try so hard to be CHris Harris?!=
All aircooled 911s deserve fuchs wheels......
