Santiago de los Caballeros de León or simply León, is a municipality and a city of the Republic of Nicaragua , head of the department of León , and is located approximately 90 kilometers northwest of Managua . Geography
The city of León is located in the west of the country, it has an area of ​​820.2 km², it is located between the coordinates 12° 26′ 8″ north latitude and 86° 52′ 46″ west longitude, at an altitude of 86 m asl, Its limits are to the north with the municipalities of Quezalguaque and Telica , to the south with the Pacific Ocean , to the east with the municipalities of Larreynaga and La Paz Centro and to the west with the municipalities of Chichigalpa and Corinto .
