    Thank you all for the “fix the audio” and “music is too loud” comments. YES I am well aware the music is too loud at the start of this video, yes I’m well aware I should “turn the music down”
    Don’t worry... we have been with our other video reviews 👍. However since this video review had already been uploaded to our channel over 2 years ago... there is nothing I can do to change it.
    So please if we could keep that comment to your selves... that would be fantastic haha.
    That way I don’t have to keep removing that annoying comment and be constantly bombarded with the same repetitious comment... BELIEVE ME! it’s stuck in my head.

    I love my 2021 xsr900. When the front wheel is floating through first and second, I'm sure it feels as manic as the mt09. Plus, it's a sleeper. You're almost always the fastest thing on the road, and the harley guys don't know it, until you show them.

    Pretty much comes down to aesthetics...and for us older guys past our hooligan days it's the XSR all the way for it's throwback appearances. Visual similarities to what we rode during our youth. It's just our style, simply. What most of us like.

    Yamaha's 847cc Crossplane Triple is a motor that will go in the history books. Triumphs triple is a stout 3 banger with a far superior suspension, but the FZ 's triple takes the cake. Reliable, Raucous, Torque for days and oh so much fun. It's hard not to smile on it. All these bikes are great bikes, but there's just something special about the CP3.

    The word aggressive has basically answered it for me, the mt09 is more for me, I have ridden one and I did love it, actually u didn't find it snappy at all, I thought it was insanely smooth, but to be fair I had the original mt03 (660cc single cylinder) at the time, so I was used to torquey at the time, now I'm on a vfr750 I'd probably find the MT feels about as snappy as a jack russel!

  • @xXxTripleHxXx
    @xXxTripleHxXx Před 6 lety +11

    MT09 is leaning more towards supermoto seating position whereas the XSR 900 is more of a traditional naked bike position, Ive ridden the 09 and it felt great. It is super narrow between your legs and the bike is super flickable. Takes no effort to turn what so ever. However having the handlebars so close to my body felt weird wich is why i probably would pick the XSR. BTW the XSR does not have the quickshifter installed and wont get it for 2018 either... thats atleast what my dealer told me

    • @6tdegrees
      @6tdegrees  Před 6 lety +1

      xXxTripleHxXx you are absolutely spot on and yes the XSR900 does not come with the quickshifter only the MT09 has that option, but it's up shifts only not down as said in the video review.

    • @davexs
      @davexs Před 6 lety +1

      Sometimes it is called 'flashing'.
      Not sure where you are in the world but, here in the UK there are a few private companies which will do it. Yamaha I think would not do as it may void the warranty.
      Bikes are usually set up for emissions regulations which stiffle's the engine. A remap of the ECU will give better power and smoothness throughout the rev range. The smoothness was what I was after.
      You are correct about a remap for aftermarket exhaust fitment.
      I went for a standard remap in which you don't need to put your bike on a dyno as somebody else has already done the ground work then sell's the information. So, the private company buys the setting's, hooks up your ECU to his computer and re-sets the ECU.
      The difference was very noticeable straight off the bat and worth every penny of £275 I paid. It took about 2 hour's to complete and included removing the 02 sensor.
      Hope this helps......

      The fueling on the 17+ has already been reworked and is smooth. The flash will smooth it out a little more, but also allows you to change what temp the fans come on, top speed limiter, AIS, etc...also required if you add a full exhaust system so the bike doesn't run lean since the drastic change in air flow.

The SP obviously has much better suspension but is also a few grand more expensive. If the XSR900 has decent adjustments so I can at least get the pre-load and rebound damping set up correctly then it might be a goer. Still considering the standard MT-09 as well.

    8:18...All you need to know. :-) I played that back about 4 times. Put a big smile on my face.
    I couldn't agree more. I got the xsr in 60th anniversary yellow speedblock :-)

    Dose the xsr 900 have better high speed stability compared to a 2016 fz 09 ? I rode a 2016 fz 09 on the freeway once and it did not have the high speed stability my fz6r has.

    The seat of the XSR is like a stone, and it feels much heavier than the 09..

    • @KoolMada
      @KoolMada Před 5 lety

      There is no 2018 FZ09. In 2018 it's called the MT-09.

    • @SpeedSeekerMoto
      @SpeedSeekerMoto Před 5 lety +1

      @@KoolMada I know that now that I own the bike lol Its kinda hard to call it an mt09 though after so many years of it being called a fz09

    • @SpeedSeekerMoto
      @SpeedSeekerMoto Před 5 lety

      @Jeremy R Yeah. I dont mind the name. But its a pain in the ass to explain to people because a lot of people know of the fz09 but not as many know of the mt09. So it confuses them when I talk about it.
