  • The forecast called for light wind and a gentle swell. That wasn't what we got! We were stuck under a squall line and the wind slowly built. I stopped filming when the rain came. Of course when we got onto the Bahamas bank the sun came out and the sea was smooth.

Great work! - the new owner of a Scylla 35' that needs a bit of work to be seaworthy again!

Only in retrospect! It wasn't that nice at the time, big swell, sloppy sea and rain. Sorry we didn't get to meet up. Maybe in April when we're back in the US

Thank you for watching. The boat was built 40 miles from where it was launched. It was built in a shed with a 10ft, 3m, wide door. So we had it in pieces for delivery. However for a variety of reasons we kept the boat assembled when we had it trucked from Seattle to Texas. It was taken on a trailer pulled by a pickup truck, no escorts needed as it is under 14ft wide assembled

@@WoodsDesigns lucky americans... in the EU in this respect regulations ara more restrictive. In Italy upt to 2.55 metres, no problem, from 2.55 to 3 metres, a special authorization indicating the road map, is needed. Over 3.0 metres width, police escorting is needed and it costs "the eyes of the head" a as we say here, so that most boats get stuck to where they are, and only very costly boats are moved around by truck. Via sea, it is always more convenient even though circumnavigating half the peninsula can be steep moneywise. But less of a hassle.

@@stefanomoretti3664 it is the same now in the UK. However the boat can fit legally on a 12m trailer. Each hull is 1m wide so go side by side with cockpit panels and beams stored on top. The cuddy goes on its aft face and turned round. Then it is 1.9m wide 3m high and 3.6m long. That is assuming the windscreen is removable. Ours is not as we dont plan on transporting it by road again. Hope that helps
