- Max Verstappen completed a clean sweep of pole positions and race wins at the Austrian Grand Prix with another dominant display in Sunday's main event, leading home Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc and Red Bull team mate Sergio Perez. It was the ninth round of the 2023 Formula One World Championship and the second Grand Prix weekend of the 2023 season to utilise the sprint format. Both races were won by Red Bull Racing's Max Verstappen, who started on pole position for both.

Ocon should have grabbed his nuts and knocked Ver back to reality. Max caused that accident not Ocon. If your leading the race by a large Margin would you give one thought to a lapped car over taking you. Hell no. Just let him pass and cruise to victory. But not max thats not his style. Lewis felt that he didn't absolutely need to win every race, either. Just enough to win the title. I guess Max suffers from some sort of low self-esteem issues and feels HE MUST win every event or else he feels small. He won't even give back a pass to his own teammate who helped him "win" his first title.
This is not a sign of a great champion if you ask me. As a student of psychology and human behavior, that is what is called a pathological sociopathic disposition, aka egomanic disorder. Im not saying its his fault. It is usually due to environmental and familial surrounds and influence. Children who were either bullied, from broken homes, or overly groomed can develop this. It is mostly hidden deep and can materialize with crude humour and/or overly aggressive actions or attitude. Max is actually a textbook case. Victory is the only thing that brings him self-assurance since he never received it at home. He is a good driver tho. I won't take that away from him.
A real sportman ,in this case Fórmula 1, always wants to win. Everyone! And everything! Max wants the last point he could get. We call that different ; a complete driver and sportman.

Everbody seems to forget that the best F1 drivers aren’t very likable.
Schumacher had just as much haters as he had fans. And even Senna was found te be arrogant by many people. And everybody loves Alonso now, but 10-15 years ago he wasn’t very nice during interviews and races.
