  • This weeks Turning Tuesday is the full video of the bolly gum fountain pen.
Bolly gum being a beautiful rich hardwood filled with colours. This specimen has almost a lacewood effect and it really lends itself to the quality of a fountain pen.

Very much enjoyed that, and thankyou for the commentary explaining what was happening throughout. My favourite parts are when you're working with the chisel and the finishing, watching the finish come through.

Enjoyed the process using the CA glue. You should try the fountain pen. I was given my first one by my father when my teachers complained about my handwriting. 56 years later and I still use one every day. Don’t even use a ballpoint unless I have no choice.

Thanks for the comment Dan, I have found the bolt actions with a nice heavy back to significantly improve. I learned calligraphy when I was younger - fell in love with the flow of the pen and built a respect for what a pen can do.
