After several years' failure, Messi tried his very best for the Champion League. He had contributed best performance in years, fans hadn't seen such a hard try Messi. Messi 2019 is one of his best version maybe even the best.
It's his best version in my opinion. Without him they would probably be playing Europa league. Also his numbers were crazy considering the team he was in.
