    in iran this is a traditional dessert called majoon. additional things you can add: cinnamon, pistachios, sesame seeds,coconut flakes, pinapple chunks.we just dont add chia seeds or granola

    This is the 1st time I have ever felt satisfied by chia pudding. I didn’t have walnuts so made the cream with cashews, pecans soy milk and dates. I added cinnamon and a small pinch of salt to the chia pudding and a small pinch of salt to the cream. Prob 1/16 of a teaspoon or less. It brought out the flavors for me. Absolutely delicious and loaded with protein. Tastes like banana cream pie. I will definitely be trying more of your recipes. Thank you for sharing.

      Oh gosh then go buy some who’d want with apples they are pure and it’s hard to find a sweet apple ? I don’t like apples in my oatmeal either and like them a little rotten they taste better and sweeter .

    I just made this but I combined everything in layer and topped with the banana and granola. Sprinkled cinnamon but thinking of fall already and will try with pumpkin spice topping. Amazing!

    Chia is high in calcium, but walnuts and dates are high in iron, it is best if these are not combined to ensure our body absorbs the micros. I used to eat them all together too until my mom got admitted in hospital and the dietician informed us to not take calcium rich and iron rich food together instead change to iron and vit c together and calcium and vit d together.

      Yes vitamin C aids iron absorption and calcium and vitamin D may be beneficial for bone health, so it is good to try to include these combinations. However, there is nothing wrong with combining calcium and iron some of the time. Just make sure to eat enough iron rich foods and pair them with vitamin C throughout the week. It's not so much about avoidance as it is about inclusion.

      Just eat proper human foods like meats, fish and eggs then you dont need to worry about trying to balance your nutrient deficiencies.
      Support your local farmers; this is way more nutritious and far better for the planet than importing exotic foods that are just inhibiting nutrient absorption and lacking the necessary basic micro nutrition.

      @@scorpionqueen7620 I think you overlooked the meaning behind my comment. Humans aren’t biologically compatible with being vegan. We are omnivorous and the majority of that should be animal proteins and fats.
      Veganism is not healthy, compared to a whole food omnivorous diet.

    For all of those, WHO ARE WATCHING THEIR SUGAR INTAKE
    ( diabetes, pre diabetes, healthy diet & eating , or for other reasons),
    BE AWARE AND CAREFUL
    indulging in this lovely dessert!!!
    The bananas, dates and granola
    ALL VERY HIGH IN SUGAR!!!
    Maybe even your “healthy “ milk has hidden added sugar also ( check the label pls).
    So in fact, just because their no added sugar by the spoonfuls in this recipe, it still has a quite high sugar content you will consume every time. when you eat it.
    Those, who need to watch for it,
    it might not be the best choice.
    For absolutely healthy people, and those, whose lifestyle is very very active or for children and teens, who are still developing and able to manage the sugary content - sure🙂
    I like the recipe, but as someone who is closely watching any sugar intake, I wanted to share my concerns, with all of you , who might do the same, or just get excited about the yummy treat, but a bit flexible about the facts.

    Yes, I saw the Iranian version as well.
    Yes got the recipe. Smiler accepts chia. Maybe Chia makes this smoothie more like a pudding which is better for some of us.
