    Do you do similar scans of your perspective bulls? What data are you looking for on them?

      Hi Gaparrot! The answer is “not yet” but we may decide to scan bulls for either sale or as replacement bulls. What we would be using EPD’s for is to make genetic changes that help us in producing high-quality, consistent steers and excellent replacement brood cows. We would be looking for a bull that produces a calves with large ribeye scores and good marbling since our primary market is beef going into Grass Roots Farmers’ Cooperative.

      It depends on their history and current condition really. So sometimes yes, sometimes no.
