Enjoy watching Julie, How nice in Canada they give a discount over 50 something...that same brand in foundation didn't work for under eye for me , very weird as someone mentioned as a recommendation; and I returned ( matter of fact was Lisa J who mentioned that concealer). Just goes to show you , we all are different. Happy to hear your recovery is going well. I am aware of others who had it done and yes you want things to stay in place too....as they finish on that path ❤❤❤... Honestly as far as time goes , it may be that you will get that down time wise, ask about there skin before hand right and a picture Agree ahead of time ask preferences for them on products, and their undertones if they know it etc ....the more info you know ahead, you got this Julie. It's not my favourite concealer either, Debra. I used it for this video since I was using the Lancôme foundation but I don't reach for it. To me, it doesn't feel like a longwear concealer. What concealers have worked for you? You're right about getting more information. Colleen, my second client, was amazing. After our session, she wrote up an email of how to structure my questionnaire. I've been working on my website and have had my daughter help me. I wish I had someone who I could count on to just do it all for me and tell me how to run it. 🤣 I'm a Libra. Decision making is not my natural talent.

Thank you, Stine! That's a great point about the price. I know that but I completely forgot about it. It's the reason I wouldn't go to an inexpensive hair salon. I automatically assume I'm not going to get a good haircut. Pictures are a great idea. This is why I'm so glad I asked for help. It sounds so simple but I didn't think of it. Hi Julie - I am loving your uploads. I meant to buy the Smashbox Halo primer when Ulta had it on sale but, I forgot! With your consultations you do need to base the service around the time you spend with the client. When I worked for Clinique I got so much fulfillment spending time with the men and women that needed my help. It’s a very rewarding feeling. ❤ It’s nice to see that you get the same kind of fulfillment as I did.
I worked at Clinique too, Pamela! Years ago. It was the first counter I worked at when we had to wear the lab coat as a dress, nude nylons/tights and clean makeup. I still would show up with glitter on my eyes.🤣 Clinique makeup has come so far. It's beautiful now. Someone else suggested my clients send photos of themself and their products. That would really help me. I'm not sure why I didn't think of that. If I could fill my day with clients, my heart would be full. I went to my friends house the other day for a coffee. I hadn't seen her in months. We were talking about her makeup and I just said "Let's go look". We ended up throwing out most of it. She had two foundations that matched and the rest were too light. No wonder she didn't like wearing makeup. It was fun and she felt so good to declutter.
Hi Julie ! I like so much this fondation from Lancôme and the concealer , I have both .Tu as une peau lumineuse , le maquillage est simple , élégant mais impactant c'est tout ce que j'aime 😍 you must take care of yourself for a good recovery but of course you know that , you are precious 🤩

Thank you, Teresa! It might be that you had the wrong colour but it may not be fore everyone. I liked it more as I built it up and when I did that, it still felt as light as the first layer. MAC Face & Body is similar. You can built it up and it stays feeling as light as the first layer. It's too bad the beauty consultant didn't tell me tell me to shake it first. Oh well. I always cheat my foundation a half a shade darker than I am. If it's too light, it will never look good. Do you do the same? I saw my girlfriend the other day and we went through her makeup while I was there. She owned about 7 foundations and only two matched her. It was fun. I wish I could do that for everyone. Most of them were too light and it's crazy, because those were the foundations that were matched by a beauty consultant. 🤦♀ When I check for a match, I swatch on the face in a few places and the chest. Our faces are often lighter than our body and I always aim to match to the body. What foundation are you using now?
@@JulieMeikle I have Dior glow and I just bought the Polite Society. I really like that one. I use to always go lighter but with the last two I went a little darker and I think they look better. Maybe I picked the wrong colour. I thought of that after. There were three options at the store and if I had been paying attention to the name of the product, I would have chosen the lighter colour. I also thought about the fact that I hadn't powdered my skin first so it may have deposited more colour because of that. I don't think so though, because the foundation didnt' feel tacky but it is a possibility .

Feeling great. the only thing I notice is when I go for a walk with my dogs I feel a touch uncomfortable but I don't know how to walk slow. Dave and I always laugh at each other because we look like we're in a race. He has to work to keep up to me. My dad and I used to always race from the car into the mall or where ever we were going. He trained me.🤣
