I have no idea why Safina's exit was cut from this edit, I have managed to find out the following info for you:

The Italian drew huge applause from the crowd."

I've always thought that Premier League was a great format, but two things always bothered me about it. 1) the intro graphics are the worst. Not only are poker players horrible dressers, but they are then put into these godawful poses. 2) the glass in front of the players is a terrible idea. I get that we can see the hole cards and players' faces, but the old hole card cam in the bumper of the table was fine. We don't need to see up Phil Hellmuth's nostrils and the fucking racket of the chips clattering on that glass is ridiculous. The players hated it as well. It's much easier to riffle chips on the felt. Thank God those aspects of televised poker are gone. Now if we can only get commentators to not talk over the players when they are talking, it would be great.
